They just swept a definite wildcard team, and are comfortably on their way to going undefeated in the toughest division in football. Addai is a top five back, and they're only getting healthier at this point. Good timing, with a fairly light schedule remaining, they have terrific chances to get a bye and a home game.

Costly penalties, giving the ball away at almost every turn, and most importantly coming up short at the end. Nothing against the Cardinals cause they played a helluva game w/ all the injuries but the Browns handed them that game on a silver platter. And by the time Cleveland changed their minds and decided they wanted to win afterall, it was too late.

The ball will carom off the roof of the stadium, bounce off the crossbar, and land in the hands of Josh Cribbs. Cribbs will run 108-yards for an apparent touchdown, but will fumble through the back of the endzone. The ball will hit the back pylon and land in the hands of Cardinals cornerback Antrell Rolle, who will run 110 yards for a touchdown, then perform a triple lutz in the end zone. The referees will spend 20 minutes debating about whether they are allowed to debate about the play, declare a tie, then go out for beers. Holy fuck, I was joking and almost called it! Unfortunately the one site I tried wont let me make deposits right now for some reason and it gave me more time to think about it. The Edwards TD at the end of the 3rd Quarter should not have counted earlier so each team got burned by shitty officiating. I will say Winslow getting even got one foot down w/ possession was pretty amazing. As an aside, I think the rule is pretty dumb and just begs for controversy. Either the guy gets two feet in or he doesn't regardless of a force out or not would be a lot easier on everybody. Or if they insist on keeping the rule the way it is, at least make it reviewable.

They got lazy, started to buy into the hype and it showed. They've had an entire week of Belichek in their ears yelling at them to stop loafing around and actually play like the fucking team they are... not like a bunch of over-paid benchwarmers that simply go thru the motions. Baltimore is going to get slaughtered. They won't come close to winning the game. Belichek will see this as another game to test out his Madden skills in real life and simply run up the score. MarvinisaLunatic Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 The only person out for the Ravens that even remotely matters (aside from Trevor Pryce who is out for the year) is Demitrius Williams, which means Todd Heap, Samari Rolle and Chris McCallister are playing. Heap instantly improves the offense and having both CBs active for the first time since week 2 means the defense is also going to be better. Even through this bad streak, the rush defense has held up and still hasnt given up a 100 yard game to anyone.

Teams are not oblivious to media coverage and they've heard all of the talk about New England going undefeated, being the best team ever, etc. So they're all going to prepare for them like it's the Super Bowl. A team like Baltimore is going to go all out, because this is as close to a big game as they're going to get for the rest of the season. They're not good enough offensively to hang with New England, but I don't envision a 52-10 slaughter or anything.

So often this year, they have been keeping defenders in the flats and giving alot of space on the edges to try and stop the deep pass and the dump offs. Philly was like "Fuck that" last week and went at them. I expect all the remaining teams to do the same. I am not sure that they won't win out, not so sure they won't win out with huge wins, but I don't think it won' t be pretty as it was earlier in this season.

To the tune of a 5.69 YPA (last in the AFC). And for some reason, the coaching staff STILL wants to throw for most of the game; their 416 pass attempts are second to Cleveland in the conference compared to just 274 rushes (last in the conference). That's not balanced playcalling. 2) It doesn't matter who is behind the center because chances are the Ravens o-line won't be able to protect them anyway (27 sacks surrendered). New England is second behind Pittsburgh with 31 sacks. 3) For all the names they have, according to the stats, Baltimore's pass defense is mediocre at best this year. 10th in YPG, 9th in TDs surrendered, 11th in INTs, 10th in sacks. Prediction: 30-3 Pats. EDIT: Philly was like "Fuck that" last week and went at them. I expect all the remaining teams to do the same. So Brady is going to finish with 70 TD passes and like 5500 yards? Because that's going to happen if the Jets, Dolphins and Giants take that strategy. The Steelers are the only team that could blitz and still be able to defend passes downfield. The Jets and Miami are 14-15 in YPA (7.67 and 7.84 respectively). It wasn't Philly's defense keeping NE at bay that gave them a shot; it was more AJ Feeley and Westbrook sustaining long drives and keeping the NE offense off the field. McCallister and Rolle are infinitely better than the scrubs they had starting in their place for the last 10 weeks. Sacks are down because Trevor Pryce was never 100% healthy the whole season and missed several games. For all the defensive "woes" you say, they still only give up 22 points a game and 73 rushing yards a game which is 3rd behind the Vikings and Steelers. The Defense has been enough to carry a decently performing offense to at least be in playoff contention. The offense is just beyond horrible though.
