GSP as the Omar of Montreal would be awesome.

"Matt Serrah does not 'ave the 'art to step to me".

Afterwards we'd get a scene of Serra, Ray Longo, Drago and George sitting around and Serra bustin' out the "He call me a punk?! He put my name in the streets?!" speech Marlo did when he was locked down.

And then GSP would get knocked the fuck out by Joe Scarola while he is buying condoms at the convenient store.

This is a good time to remind everyone that the countdown is on at 11 pm tonight.

That should be the sell for the fight.

"My name IS my name...bro!"

We need to make a concerted effort to not get, ya know, too messed up before the show.

Having said that, drinks prices will be ridiculous so we need to sufficently pre-drink enough. It'll be a tightrope of booze.

So basically, eat and drink at some cheap place near McGill and then taxi it over to Centre Bell without being totally wasted? I wish you luck, but I think you'll be eating something and/or drinking water at the arena...

Just finished watching the preview show, couldn't watch it last night because of the Flames game... But great preview show as usual.

Watching the preview show makes me want to see Franklin knock Lutters head off his shoulders even more... Even though Lutter's wife could get it anyday of the week, that hot peice of mexican ass. But being unbiased, I never seen Lutter/Lindland, but they showed clips of Lutter taking down Lindland, which goes to show LOTC, that he is underrating Lutters takedowns. I think the fight is 55/45 in favor of Franklin.

I was afraid the secret get out but I might as well not try to deny it any more: The only way I'd be open to underrating Lutter's takedowns is if UFC showed footage of him taking Lindland down.

Color me embarassed.

Do you get other board members?

GSP's sister is a cutie. Lutter's wife, too, but GSP's sister is spot on to my type.

Dangerous_A & Ced usually come to my house......Dangerous_A's wife is expecting in a few weeks though so he might have to stay in the bay and sit this one out......I am still waiting on Ced to make a decision, but besides board members, about 15 people will be here.

Dangerous_A hasn't posted here in forever... You should invite KOAB to come... On 2nd thought I wouldn't do that.

I'm not that bad...

And yeah the audacity of Lutter, "I'm never losing to Anderson Silva again... now I'm not saying I'll never lose in my career again, but I'm never losing to him." makes me wanna see Franklin pound him for a couple of minutes.

I'd also like to pound his ex-wife for a couple of minutes.... WHAMMY!

There is usually a fair share of crazies at my party. Not "crazies" in the sense of trouble-makers, but as in drinking until they are passing out all over the place, including the front and backyard. I have a small 2 -bedroom house but a good size yard in the front and back(which reminds me I have to mow the fucking lawns friday), and then a huge field across the street, so needless to say it is a good location to get plastered and not have the wrong people notice.

Typing this from the hotel room in Montreal, just got back from the Q and A w/ Dana and weigh-ins.

So yeah, weigh-ins were nuts. Fucking NUTS. They packed about 2000 people into the Bell Centre and the crowd was stupid hot. GSP's reaction was deafening and if that's what 2000 people can cook up I can't even fathom what 22,000 strong will sound like tomorrow night. Serra's heat was off the charts. After they weighed in and did the pose Goldberg (filling in for Rogan) tried to interview Serra and swear to God you couldn't hear him over the boos. Aside from GSP/Serra the biggest reactions came for Franklin, Bisping, Stout and MacDonald who got a HUGE reaction probably because there was a ton of Alberta love in the house.

Oh, and Kenny Florian and Marc Dellagrotte are officially my homeboys.

Dave Meltzer used his hyperbole machine to say this UFC would have the hottest crowd in the history of MMA. I just rolled my eyes at first at that.

But maybe he was right. The heat for this show is off the charts. Dave may have been right.

The people going to this show are going to have their bust their asses cheering to beat shit like Sakuraba/Royce in terms of sheer volume, passion, and intensity though. The entire building seemed to shake when Sakuraba won that fight. You guys have a target to aim for though~!

What makes you believe it wouldn't have? Have you ever seen a Montreal Canadians hockey game? Or better yet a wrestling event in Montreal? The crowd usually always goes bananas.

We're talking sheer numbers alone, for one.

PRIDE ran the Tokyo Dome for that GP show, which saw at least 40,000+ people in it, at the very peak of PRIDE's popularity, and Sakuraba's. This UFC show will have 20,000-something, so they'd have to cheer twice as hard to be in the ballpark of the sheer excitement and enthusiasm of that show, and that fight in particular.

It might happen, I just doubt it. I don't think the crowd noise for the end of Sakuraba/Royce can be topped.

Like I said, you don't know drunken frenchmen... They are insane... Watch a Canadians hockey game, they are louder then most NFL games.

I gotta give Serra credit, he comes up with consistently good comebacks/quotes to GSP. I think my favorite it "You say the real GSP's gonna show up? Good, I hope he does 'cause I'm right here."

Though his "If you guys are angry now you won't like tomorrow night" at the weigh-ins today was choice.
