Steviekick 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2008 "Better" is an awesome song. Is Buckethead on it? That really sounds like a solo he would write.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2008 I've read it is a Robin Finck song.
FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 gotdamn, i read that as robin thicke for a second.
Annabelle 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 chinese democracy will be released in 2 years with the original gnr line-up. i hope so at least.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 The originals, sans Izzy, blew compared to the 2006-07 lineup. I mean seriously, Steven Adler for Christ's sake?
BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 I suspect if there ever is a reunion of the classic lineup, Sorum will be there instead of Adler. Too bad Sorum is a fucking monumental douchebag. You think Robin Finck is better than Slash?
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 I'd say that Buckethead is a much better guitar player than Slash, but as far as songwriting is concerned I would go with Slash, hands down.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 I didn't like Finck at first, but loved him when i saw him live in 2006. Many bootlegs only strengthened this love. i think i want to marry him and have ten thousand of his babies. Yeah Slash sucks compared to him in my eyes now. BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Too bad he's back in NIN now!
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Eh, he left for NIN back in 2000 also, and he came back. Tha was also to tour. Hopefully this is the same type of deal.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Robin Finck is terrible. Absolutely terrible. I mean, really, there's nothing about him that is good. He's just flat out terrible. He fucked up solos left and right. The guy just isn't a good guitar player. In fact, he's terrible. I can't believe anyone would have the audacity to compare him to Slash, especially someone who I assumed was a longtime GNR fan.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 His attempts at playing the "November Rain" solo always made for good comedy.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Yeah but the thing is, I love the new material. And he's, I'm assuming, responsible for a great deal of that. http://youtube.com/watch?v=TCyWIbvEd-A Watch him kill this motherfuckin solo.....no seriously......I'll be here waiting. BUTT 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 It wasn't that great a solo. It wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular. And Bumblefoot did all the cool stuff near the end. I think that was one of two times they played that song.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 Yeah and I was there! Other time was where...something ridiculous like Norway or something, right?
CheesalaIsGood 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 http://youtube.com/watch?v=j9zkXA7q2LA Greates song ever. Off of the new album. You know... if I didn't know better I'd have sworn that was David Glimour doing the guitar solo (5:10 in). Weird. Great song though.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtOc0MP2RrQ IRS at Inland Invasion.....thoughts on this song? Figured I'd post this version cause his vocals are pretty damn good too.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 I like it. But I don't think I'm the opinion that you're looking for since I always like GNR stuff. Catcher in the Rye, Better, The Blues, Chinese Democracy... I love it all.
1234-5678 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2008 I am pretty sure I introduced BPS to "The Blues" by GNR like 7 years ago, lol.
