Am I the only one that thought they heard Lawler call Mickie James the "WCW" champion?

 

I've rewound it and played it a couple of times and I swear thats what he said.

I was really surprised that they gave away the title change there instead of saving it for Backlash. I guess they wanted to throw the English fans a bone.

 

Why have they not mentioned the "history" between Beth and Mickie in a long time? The storyline began during Beth's brief tenure on Raw in 2006, and they mentioned it when she came back in 2007.

Great to see Mickie win there... decent match, but I thought about something during it. The E's ring is a little too big for the girls to work in it seems. It seems to slow the pace down a bit too much.

 

But yeah, glad to see Alexis get the big victory, she'll always have a place in my heart.

 

Oh, and if they do the same shit they did with the Trump/Rosie match with Obama/Clinton, the fans are gonna turn on it REAL quick.

I think Jericho could use it the most. Though given that line-up, I might think Big Show gets the spot. HHH, Batista, Punk and HBK don't need the rub, MVP doesn't need the gimmick - so that leaves Umaga (who has been jobbed out too much lately), Jericho and Big Show. I just want to see Punk vs HHH or Punk vs HBK in one of the rounds...

 

I'd love it to look like this - HBK vs CM Punk, MVP vs HHH, Umaga vs Big Show and Batista vs Jericho

 

I'd love to see some of those.

Good match between the two, some nice stiff shots and I love Beth using the double arm chicken wing. Only complaint is there seemed to be something with the sound during the match. You could hardly hear the crowd are the girls screaming and stuff. lol at mickie's post match interview spot. They really treated this as a big deal.

I think MVP could use it. The US Title reign is stale as hell, as is the Matt Hardy thing. Hopefully he can win the KOTR and move into the WHT scene over on Smackdown. Or even move to RAW.
