Steviekick Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 My company is going to be a lot like Chikara, and the tag titles are going to be the most important. ChoTen is the dominant heel team, so I want a team that gets over as a face and would be good in the underdog role. http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6038/63...fa25wj0fvw2.jpg The Briscoe Brothers
Hawk 34 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 That is an absolute dagger. I passed on The Briscoes because I really thought they were getting overlooked. Briscoes-MVC dreams have been crushed. I think you should be DQ'd for that selection due to being late with the pick! This has been a painful round.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 I was going to take the Briscoes if Stevie didn't. BTW...you still have another pick Steive.
Maztinho Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Yeah your round 4 got skipped cause you where... I dunno. Let's say, STEALING MY IDEAS! The puppy is safe though since I had a different team in mind, but The Briscoes were on the radar as a Junior Tag staple. STEVIE PICK ANOTHER PERSON OR TEAM! STEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!
Hawk 34 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Maybe you should count that as this sixth pick with his 5th rounder still being on the board, that way you guys can go ahead and get going.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Did he actually leave without realizing he had another pick?
Hawk 34 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Did he actually leave without realizing he had another pick? It would appear so. Well, he's here, so he should have his new pick up soon.
Steviekick Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 I'm sorry. I was at Wizard World Philly all weekend and am multitasking. Anyway, so tag titles are important in my little world, so I need another good working tag team. This one is going to my #2 heel team. Where ChoTen is supposed to be the quiet evil tag team, I want the next one to be over the top and goofy. Plus, they would work well with Chris Jericho, since he is the number one heel. The Kings of Wrestling - Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli
Hawk 34 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 You're an asshole. I never expected to see this team get taken in the single digit rounds. Never. I didn't want the team, I thought of Hero as my low-mid card heel act, possibly in union with Piper.

Claudio and Hero have great chemistry as a team and I'm happy to have them as a whole.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 Well...I would have taken the Briscoes if Steivekick hadn't, because it would have lead to some enjoyable hardhitting matches with LAX. LAX needs a smaller tag team to work with (their best work was with Styles/Daniels) and it tells an easy story of heel LAX bloody beating the smaller team until that team inevitebly steps up and wins the big one. That's an easy feud and the one I wanted for my tag division...pretty much because of that previously mentioned feud with Styles and Daniels just being tremendous. So...that leaves me with this: It's TNA tag team madness in my unnamed federation. I'm taking the Motor City Machineguns because they fit that mold I'm looking for perfectly...and like LAX I can see them as both a face team and a heel team down the road. They're no slouch in the ring either...and that's what I'm pretty much going for. Hey...at least I can give myself the tag feud that TNA won't...but should be doing. It kinda sucks taking two modern tag teams for half my division (and in the same company no less) but my options are what they are...especially since people have started turning their attention towards the indys of late.
Steviekick Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 If it makes you feel better, I was debating KOW or MCMG with my last pick.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 It makes me feel better that you picked Hero and Claudio... since I already had my write up finished and waiting for your pick...

Cran Da Maniac Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Ok, seriously I was so about to pick Taz and Bam Bam with my next 2 picks, so this really hurts.
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I figured they weren't getting back to me anyways. Also my team I'm looking at is still on the board. *fingers crossed*
Cran Da Maniac Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Same here, I have 2 teams that if they get picked I am seriously going to scream.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I need a babyface tag team to take on the Blonde Bombers. I want one member of the team to appeal to the women; he has the looks and charisma to get the women into his comebacks and who shriek with each big move he takes. And I want the other member to appeal to the men; he has to have the tough guy rep and aura, someone the guys can get behind because they think and, more importantly, know, he can handle himself. It's not the most intimidating picture of them I could find, but I now present the top babyface tag team of my promotion... Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura
Hawk 34 Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 The Blonde Bombers Vs The Gay Asian Cowboys will be a hot angle.
King Kamala Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Must resist making a Pat Patterson joke...
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 HTQ with a wicked pick, fortunately he was the last hump to my team that I was worried about, so I should be safe.
naiwf Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I can't find a good dangling belt pic which sucks, but this is the team that I really wanted here so I'm going to take Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro to set up a nice little tag team scenario with Edge & Christian.
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 There went my back up team, but my guys should still be around. Also MNM vs E&C in a pretty boy off feud would be epically awesome.

I was watching an MNM match earlier today, and I knew that it was just a matter of time. I will have my selection in just a moment, as Broward is sitting this round out.
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 You take my team a puppy dies. Just warning you.
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! Posted June 2, 2008 Author Report Posted June 2, 2008 The word innovative can only begin to describe my sixth round draft selection. His influential blend of the Mexican and Japanese wrestling styles, known as Lucharesu, can still be seen today in such places as Dragon Gate and CHIKARA. Ladies and gentlemen, the former IWGP Junion Heavyweight and WCW Cruiserweight Champion... Ultimo Dragon! (complete with inspirational poster)
Steviekick Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 Great pick...I was hoping he would have survived till the next round.
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 I have two high flying dudes, now I need two big ol'bruisers. Who are also quick on their feet. RISE~! Tyson Tomko Giant Bernard These two are great big men who can both bring it. I think they are possibly the best _current_ tag team running around. Also there are like NO fucking pictures of these two together eventhough they've been teaming for over a year now. NONE. *No puppies where harmed in the making of this selection*
