Lord of The Curry Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 To add to what Mik posted for those canucks who get The Fight Network they'll be airing the FSN undercard matches of Buentello/Aleksander and Terry Martin/Vitor Belfort starting @ 7:30.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Alot of Americans will have to wait until midnight to watch the undercard fights on FSN... Due to baseball games.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 UFC Fight Night 14: Silva vs. Irvin - Midnight-3am - Spike TV (re-air) Â They are airing it right afterwards? So the people with out DVR will still be able to watch both. +1.
Lord of The Curry Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Carlito- Do you know if that means that the Canadians will get delayed too?
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Carlito- Do you know if that means that the Canadians will get delayed too? Â Nope, because we get to watch it on the Fight Network not FSN... Â I just check my digital cable box to confirm it, and yes I'm right... We Canadians get it live on the Fight Network
RavishingRickRudo Posted July 17, 2008 Author Report Posted July 17, 2008 Rampage did convert to jesusdom after getting visions about being in hell and his kid and whatnot.
The Niggardly King Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 yeah, he was having dreams of the devil chasing him around and some other fucked up shit
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Wilson Gouveia Vs. Jeremy Horn for UFN 15... Â Gouveia by whatever he wants, why is Horn still fighting? And why does he keep getting invited back to the UFC?
The Niggardly King Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Is he still putting on entertaining fights?
Youth N Asia Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Is he still putting on entertaining fights? Â Not lately. Â Horn's now 7-6 in the UFC. I think they gotta cut ties with him if he doesn't win this one. He's a legend in my book for his work ethic, but he doesn't look like a threat to any top guys
Lord of The Curry Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Is Horn moving up here or Gouveia moving down?
Mik Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Andrei Arlovski, in regards to Tim Sylvia dating his ex girlfriend: "How taste my pee-pee, Tim Sylvia?" Â Ha.
BruteSquad_BRODY Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 IFL CEO Jay Larkin also made news recently by admitting he's not a huge MMA fan, even going as far as comparing MMA to "gay foreplay".
Mik Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 You'd be bitter if MMA ruined your life too. Â Sanchez/Alves is off for UFC 89, by the way... officially replaced on the card by Machida/Silva. Would have been awesome to have both of those on free tv but oh well.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 They are problay going to push it to the UFC 90 card...
Lord of The Curry Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Even without Diego/Alves that's still a very solid card. Â So, I've been thinking about the possibility that Anderson comes out unscathed against Irvin and fight Okami in September and I've come to the conclusion that it ain't happening. I just can't see Silva doing a title defense just under a month after the Irvin fight. If anything it might be a good idea to make Silva/Okami the headliner for the 89 card as UFC's primary concern was that a fight between two foreigners for a title wouldn't draw so giving it away on free tv could be an option. Hell, if they were willing to give away Hendo/Page on Spike there's no reason Silva vs Okami wouldn't work.
Lord of The Curry Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Speaking of UFC 89 there's musings about that we'll see Tyson Griffin vs Sean Sherk on that card as well or possibly the November card.
Youth N Asia Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Tyson should have been in this number one contender match before Florian. One close loss on his record and that's it.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Tyson should have been in this number one contender match before Florian. One close loss on his record and that's it. Â And a controversial desicion against Clay Guida... Â Kenny Florian finishes fights, where as Tyson Griffin grinds out desicions... Which is why Florian ranked higher.
Lord of The Curry Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 That's pretty much it. And honestly, if you're UFC and you want to encourage Tyson to finish fights putting him up against guys like Aurelio and now possibly Sherk is not the way to do it.
Mik Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Personally I think Tyson Griffin needs to suck it up, drop to 145 and give us the fight the WEC can promote like no other. Â The first fight with Urijah was pretty damn good, IIRC it was pretty even until Tyson caught him. The rematch needs to happen. Â I also think Tyson should just be at 145 in general. That probably won't happen until he loses a few in a row, though.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 I don't see a reason for Tyson Griffin to drop down to 145, when he is just about one fight away from a title shot...
Mik Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 In my opinion, Tyson's current standing in the lightweight division is the furthest he'll ever get. I can't see him defeating ANY of the top guys right now. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I think he ends up finding a home at 145. Â Speaking of 145...Leonard Garcia vs. Jens Pulver on September 10th. Add that to Urijah/Mike Brown and Sonnen/Filho 2 and we're looking at another banging WEC card.
Lord of The Curry Posted July 22, 2008 Report Posted July 22, 2008 Also Razor Rob getting hopefully tooled by Donald Cerrone aka Cowboy.
Lord of The Curry Posted July 23, 2008 Report Posted July 23, 2008 Keith Jardine vs Brandon Vera @ UFC 89 in October. Good gravy that card is looking sexy.
