HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 No way those toys would be ages 4+. Too many small pieces.
Askewniverse Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 UFC is (FINALLY) releasing a Best of Ultimate Fight Night DVD. VIVA LIFE~! I passed on it. It's a single-disc release and includes fights from the first three UFN events. Match listing: Josh Koscheck vs. Pete Spratt Mike Swick vs. Gideon Ray Kenny Florian vs. Alex Karalexis Spencer Fisher vs. Thiago Alves Brandon Vera vs. Fabiano Scherner Chris Leben vs. Edwin Dewees Spencer Fisher vs. Aaron Riley Melvin Guillard vs. Josh Neer Duane Ludwig vs. Jonathan Goulet Chris Leben vs. Jorge Rivera Drew Fickett vs. Josh Burkman Stephan Bonnar vs. James Irvin Not exactly a great match listing. A "Best of UFN" release without Parisyan vs. Sanchez seems wrong.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Yeah... I'mma have to pass.
AmericanDragon Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 http://www.mmafrenzy.com/2008/09/12/exclus...ohnsons-appeal/
Youth N Asia Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 I saw that at Best Buy the other day. I'd be more likely to just buy the entire events outright
BrokenWings Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 http://www.mmafrenzy.com/2008/09/12/exclus...ohnsons-appeal/ This just seems unbelievable to me. Absolute robbery.
Youth N Asia Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Yeah, that's total crap for AJ. Only two possible calls could have been made at the end of the fight -Johnson wins via DQ for REPEATED eye pokes -No contest How they GAVE the win to Burns just blows my mind
The Niggardly King Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 Man I like War Machine and all... but that dude is fucking retarded and got cut by the UFC for... being retarded.

Youth N Asia Posted September 14, 2008 Report Posted September 14, 2008 That's on the new knockouts DVD
AmericanDragon Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNoMyr-UY6c
Lord of The Curry Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 So it seems like the reason we're not getting Fisher vs Melvin at UFC 90 is because Captain Katrina got himself arrested on a probation violation on August 13th. What a naturally athletic moron.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Did he pistol whip Rich Clementi?
Lord of The Curry Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 If Melvin's getting arrested for anything involving Clementi it'll be murda.
Tawren Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Meltzer on Evans knocking out Liddell: "Liddell was always criticized for his stand-up technique, particularly keeping his hands low and his looping style punches. But it worked for him, because he had knockout power in both hands, so didn’t have to land a lot because the right shot would put most people down, and because he had an iron jaw. Once knocked out you become more susceptible to knockouts, and frequent knockouts when you are older is not a good thing. To me, this knockout doesn’t say Liddell’s chin is gone, because the overhand right haymaker Evans threw when countering a Liddell uppercut would have knocked almost any human out, and probably stunned a lot of wild animals." ...
Mik Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Koscheck/Yoshida is rumored for the show for the troops in Dec. I'd like to see that fight.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Koscheck/Yoshida is rumored for the show for the troops in Dec. I'd like to see that fight. That will be an awesome fight...
Lord of The Curry Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Wait... THE YOSHIDA? If you mean THE YOSHIDA from PRIDE, no. If you mean THE YOSHIDA that was supposed to fight Karo at UFC 88, yes.
Mik Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 The Yoshida that provided WAR MACHINE'S last UFC memory as him getting choked out in a mere 30 seconds.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 The same Yoshida that promised to KO War Machine with a Judo Throw? Yeah, that guy is awesome.

Matt Young Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 You know how half my posts in this forum are asking for links to things I missed? Yeah, this is one of them. I missed Fight Night and TUF last night since I thought they were airing next week. I can't watch the replay of TUF on Spike tonight since it's on at the same time as the Smallville premiere, and I do not have a DVR. Does anyone have links to either or both?
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 http://mma-core.com/videos/VideoDetails.aspx?vid=10001679 From there, you'll find links to last nights fight and other stuff.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Speaking of the Fort Bragg show this is nothing other then pure speculation on my part but I'd be surprised if we didn't see Franklin on the show given the amount of publicity and more or less general knowledge in regards to his support for the military.
The Niggardly King Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Wait... THE YOSHIDA? If you mean THE YOSHIDA from PRIDE, no. If you mean THE YOSHIDA that was supposed to fight Karo at UFC 88, yes. Yeah, I was drunk so I had images of THE YOSHIDA from PRIDE coming out and ready to Judo a motherfucker, but this is even better.
AboveAverage484 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Speaking of the Fort Bragg show this is nothing other then pure speculation on my part but I'd be surprised if we didn't see Franklin on the show given the amount of publicity and more or less general knowledge in regards to his support for the military. This may be a dumb question, but this is for paying customers not just troops, right? If so, I'll try and land some tix for this. Have never been to a UFC and this would be the first time in AGES one has been held in NC.
Lord of The Curry Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Not sure, actually. I didn't see many "general public" looking types in the crowd for the Diego vs Riggs show in San Diego so it's very possible that "For The Troops" means just that.
