Lord of The Curry Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Lol, Dama you cad. Asking the same questions here that you do at DVDVR. SOMEBODY HELP THE GUY OUT~!
Insanity Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Why can't Keith Jaridine move up to heavyweight we all know that nobody in the company has a chance in hell to beat Chuck Lindell but he might have a chance against Tim Slyvia. He's got a better chance beating Chuck than moving up and having to eventually face Cro Cop.
Guest Dirty Killingsocks Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 WO.com: George St. Pierre suffered a knee injury in training and his title match with Matt Serra is off the 2/3 show in Las Vegas. No word on a replacement main event. There is the risk of putting Serra in a match and risking him losing before he gets his title shot. As of right now, UFC isn't sure of the extent of St. Pierre's injury or how long he will be out of action. I guess there is a big difference between St. Pierre and Chuck Liddell.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 FUCK I think UFC should use this opportunity to expose Serra as a blown-up LW and put him against somebody who can beat him and use that as an excuse to kill his title shot. Nobody really wanted to see him challenge anyway, a GSP return against somebody like Karo, Diego, Diaz or Koscheck would be much better.
razazteca Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 MMA Review: #71: WEC 9: Cold Blooded by: Scott Newman on: 12/27/2005 7:52 pm est We go into the 2nd, and it’s a SHOOTOUT to begin as both exchange punches in the center of the cage! Swick looks to have the upper hand and comes forward throwing his trademark fast combos, but Leben eats the punches right up and counters with a HUGE LEFT HAND that crumples Swick for the KO. Swick clearly forgot one of the golden rules of MMA – YOU CAN’T KO CHRIS LEBEN!~! Leben is the new WEC Middleweight Champion. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7h0p_ufn...-anderson-silva hahahahahahaha WO.com: George St. Pierre suffered a knee injury in training and his title match with Matt Serra is off the 2/3 show in Las Vegas. "I am not impressed by your injury" Come on this is the 2nd time this has happened who does he think he is HBK clearly he fears Matt Serra's screeching takedowns and the footstomp.
Guest Dirty Killingsocks Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 WO.com: Matt Serra officially turned down fighting on the 2/3 UFC PPV show because he didn't want to risk his guaranteed title shot. We don't have an update on the severity of Georges St. Pierre's injuries or a date for the St. Pierre vs. Serra match. Serra was given the impression it could be on the 4/7 show. The funny thing about that is they canceled Montreal for 4/7 because they wanted to debut with St. Pierre on top, but felt it was too much of a risk coming so soon after 2/3.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 French-Canada and NYC collide.......IN TEXAS~!
Conspiracy_Victim Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I can't believe UFC 69's going to be in Houston. I need to get some money. How quick can someone start selling crack and turn a profit? I'm just asking...
vivalaultra Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Holy Shit, I'm so going to that...potentially...if I can find tickets. I wanna sit next to the guy from King of Queens...and I wanna yell out "HAAAAAAAAAAMAHFIST!!!!!!" intermittently when Matt Serra's fighting. And if Serra's getting his shot in April, when does Matt Hughes get his rematch? I'd much rather watch Matt Hughes lose than Matt Serra.
Lord of The Curry Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 If GSP is defending the title in April against Serra we'll most likely see GSP/Hughes III in July or August. If Diego is lucky he'll get a shot by years end, if not then in early 08.
razazteca Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 So are they going to give the shot to BJ Penn again? Coming to think about it BJ Penn is did rearrange GSP's face at UFC 58 in the first 3 minutes of that match to bad BJ Penn always gets screwed over by the judges. Poor Diego is never going to get a title shot in the UFC maybe he should go to Japan to win the 2007 Bushido Grand Prix or go work for Chuck Norris's company which is having its first show in Austin sometime this month.
vivalaultra Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 I think by right after they get this Matt Serra nonsense over with, Hughes should get first crack, Diego should get second, and then go to Penn. But it's kinda moot, since BJ's coaching the next TUF and moving down to 155.
razazteca Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 BJ Penn could be the very first triple crown UFC champion of the world taking the belts at 155, 170, 185.... BJ Penn > Branden Vera.
vivalaultra Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Shit yeah! BJ Penn vs Anderson Silva would be awesome.

I wanna sit next to the guy from King of Queens...and I wanna yell out "HAAAAAAAAAAMAHFIST!!!!!!" intermittently when Matt Serra's fighting. Don't forget to constantly yell out "FOOT STOMPS!" whenever they're in a clinch.

If I'm lucky, maybe Edwin Dewees will be fighting, so during his match, I can yell out, "SHOOOOOOOOOLLDAHHHH PRESSHA BAM BAM!!!!!" Ah....Matt Serra, you Italian vanilla midget, you...
razazteca Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Don't forget to constantly yell out "FOOT STOMPS!" whenever they're in a clinch. Will Tito Ortiz be in the corner to yell "Foot Stomp Yes! Yes! Yes!" Matt Serra is the 1st Gracie Ju Jitsu black belt in America, you know they are going to push him to the moon well so says Joe Rogan and he is never wrong.

razazteca Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 So does Tim Slyvia wear the UFC belt everywhere like does he go to the movie theater with it on?
vivalaultra Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 I'm pretty sure he does. It's a funny visual, but shows how much being champ means to him, even if he's just holding it till Vera, Arlovski, or Cro Cop get a shot. I only wish that Cheick Kongo hadn't dropped that fight to Carmelo Marerro a couple months ago. I dig the Kongo. And is there honestly any interest in Little Evil/BJ Penn II? There's the whole BJ Penn avenging a loss angle, but after he wins and moves back up in weight, whose gonna be left at 155 to keep the division afloat? When's Sherk coming back, anyway? Like October?
Lord of The Curry Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 The stories on Sherk coming back varies. I've heard as early as May and as late as the fall sometime. Like I've said before, if it's the fall then either strip him of the title or make an interim champion. For a recently brought-back division and a belt that's never been defended before to sit on the sidelines for a year is retarded. Sure, the LW's put on the better fights on the cards but it's hard for the audience to connect if they know they're fighting for nothing.
Lei Tong Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Whatever Sherk's injury, I hope it's fatal.
The Niggardly King Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 After watching Pride's NYE show, who is Mark Hunt training with now.
AboveAverage484 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Wanderlei is fighting Dan Henderson in Las Vegas next month. Been there, done that. BTW, isn't Henderson a MW, lol
Lei Tong Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Henderson looked much better at LHW against Vitor then he had in his last few MW bouts.
AboveAverage484 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Henderson looked much better at LHW against Vitor then he had in his last few MW bouts. But.... I thought he was supposed to take the MW division by storm if he ever dropped down? Stupid Sherdoggers
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I heard Vera left the UFC, but it's an unsubstantiated rumour at this point.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 Fedor has re-signed with PRIDE.
KingPK Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 (edited) Chuck Liddell is going to be on Conan tonight. Isn't that a pretty big mainstream boost for UFC? I seem to recall Ortiz or Shamrock being on Craig Ferguson's show, but Conan is much more popular. Edited January 11, 2007 by KingPK
vivalaultra Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Checking out the rumored UFC 68 card on MMAWeekly, I see that Jason McDonald is rumored to be fighting Rich Franklin. Hot damn, Athelete!
