Guest Report post Posted July 22, 2008 ECW Champion Mark Henry is still the man to beat in the Land of the Extreme ... but that might be mission: impossible. Now that the World's Strongest Champion has Colin Delaney in his corner, in addition to WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, it appears a person with the strength of 10 men may be needed to end this reign. How long will the Mark Henry era last? The World's Strongest Man will be getting some new competition soon, however. On Tuesday night, The Miz, John Morrison, Finlay and Matt Hardy will be facing one another in a Fatal Four Way to determine the No. 1 contender for the ECW Championship. Which one of these Superstars will move forward to face Mark Henry? Also, what is in store for Tommy Dreamer? With Colin Delaney showing no regard for the man who helped him earn a WWE contract, the ECW Original appears to be on his own in his quest for Tuesday night success. Will he rebound from his loss at The Great American Bash? And what was Delaney's motive for turning on his mentor? Last Tuesday, Evan Bourne continued his impressive run since joining the Land of the Extreme, defeating Chavo Guerrero. Is Bourne the leader of a new generation of Superstars ready to take the reigns on Tuesday nights? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more by tuning into ECW on Sci Fi, Tuesday at 10/9 CT
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 Wow, multi-man match to determine the no. 1 contender for the ECW Championship!
Dandy 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 Hardy should be winning that match.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I say Finlay is becoming #1 contender.
The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 Nah, the whole point of Hardy dropping the US title was so he could begin his chase for the ECW title.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I'll go with Finlay as well. He just makes more sense vs. Henry right now, while Matt can feud with Miz/Morrison for a while until they are ready to do something else. I'd have Finlay get the belt.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 Don't forget about Atlas Vs Hornswoggle at ringside.

I'd rather have this happen, but I think Henry vs. Hardy is what they're gonna do at Summerslam.
cd213 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 I think this is the beginning for a Miz vs Morrison feud. One is going to cause the other not to win and get angry. I think it would be good if they did do that, that it would be a slow burn to a full blown feud.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 That's not a good thing. Either will be a good face and it's an pointless breakup of the best tag team WWE has had since E&C. These two have a lot of mileage left.
cd213 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2008 It's not something I want to see, as I am a big fan of Tag Team wrestling, but with WWE history of breaking up good teams, I don't think it's a long shot.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 The Dirt Sheet is often Must-See on wwe.com. Sometimes they go the way of the fart joke, but other times it's really good.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 The Miz annoys the fuck out of me . . . not in a good way. I tried sitting through a Dirt Sheet but couldn't make it through.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Not really a huge spoiler but sometime is still likely to complain if I don't blacken it: From Rajah.com, Teddy Long is presenting Mark Henry with a redesigned ECW title tonight.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Awww man, for a second, I thought ECW was getting a 'Television Championship'. Not really enough stars to warrant one on the show, but it would have been interesting. And another completely silver belt...
cd213 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Maybe they should have gotten Henry a manager that could talk.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 I like the look of that title. However Atlas is horrid on the mic, I wonder if they brought him in to make Adamle look better.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 That's a huge belt. Reminds me of the size of the old Undisputed title. I'm not a fan of the lack of gold, but the belt doesn't look too bad. I'd like to see a wash put over the plates to bring out some of the detail.
Slickster 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Also, the new belt says 'World Wrestling Entertainment' on it. No 'World Heavyweight' on the belt anymore either.
cd213 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 I like the belt, but it's so stiff that it looks like a replica belt.
ashamed wrestling fan 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 The least they could've done is have Colin ditch the worthless jobber look I don't know what was wrong with the previous title, but the new WWE Heat belt isn't terrible

cd213 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Morrison wasn't very good there. Just seemed like he was reading his lines.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Remember when RVD was first given the ECW title after ONS 2006? The strap was stiff as a board. It'll probably take a few weeks for it to get "floppy".
Slickster 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Actually, RVD was handed a $150 replica belt that night because the new ECW Championship (with the red logo) wasn't done yet. That's why it looked so stiff; it wasn't actual leather.
Thanks for the Fish 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2008 Delaney should have got the bodyguard instead of Kendrick. And eventually it would come out that he really didn't want the bodyguard but the bodyguard made him hire him for 75% of his salary. Sorta like a bully taking his lunch money every day.
