USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2008 Boy, that'd be a shitty hypothetical Pac-10 team, to win all their games in conference and lose all their non conference games.
JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 Surprised this hasn't been posted yet: Colorado beat WVU in overtime by a field goal. Can Anybody thats a Big East fan explain to me why WVU always seems to underachieve?
RepoMan 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2008 That was some of the worst clock managment at the end of regulation for WVU. The get the ball near midfield with about a minute left, and sit on two timeouts until there's only 4 seconds left just to try a Hail Marry. I try to root for the Big East, but WVU really got what they deserved for such stupidity.

A blind monkey could've coached WVU to beat OU. OU was missing like 6 starters (5 on defense) and WVU was pretty fired up listening to everyone talk about how they were going to get blown out. Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Not a bad footbaw game going on in Pittsburgh right now. Certainly more competitive than the Alabama and Penn State slaughters that are on right now.
Diamonddust 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Not a bad footbaw game going on in Pittsburgh right now. Certainly more competitive than the Alabama and Penn State slaughters that are on right now. Big Bama fan here and watching the game... Arkansas is gift wrapping touchdowns to Alabama. We've had two pick 6's on Casey Dick, and a 84 yard touchdown run as well. Our defense has been on the field a lot, and Arkansas is actually moving the ball pretty well... they just tend to find a way to screw it up more often than not. Quick edit: Alabama stops Arkansas at a 4th and goal situation to close out the half with the lead 35-7.

jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 What happened to LeSean McCoy? His freshman year was great and he ran all over WVU in the game that knocked them out of the national championship game. A lot of people had him as the sort of outside looking in Heisman candidate this season. He has yet to really do anything this year aside from catch a 30 yard pass while I was typing. Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 ECU/NC State is about to go into overtime. End of the Pitt game was sloppy, but good win for them. That's the kind of game they haven't been winning the past couple of years.

HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 #10 New Hampshire held off Albanay 32-24 Harvard scored 19 points in the 4th quarter to beat Holy Cross 25-24 including a 1 yard TD run with 1:42 left by QB Chris Pizzotti.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Haha, awesome jump pass by Tebow. It was pretty subtle, but that was one of the best 2-play sequences I've ever seen called in a football game. The fake pitch on 1st down drew the LBs off to the right side of the field and established the Tebow draw, and then the jump pass played on that, getting the safeties to crush the line so the receiver could scoot past and be wide open. Mullen and Meyer are really good.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Awesome punt return but man did Florida get away with a block in the back there. That was pretty blatant.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Good first quarter for the Gators. It's encouraging that Tebow has all of two completed passes and the team leads by 17.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Christ, Tennessee can't do a damn thing right. Fumble on the 1 yard line and the Gators recover.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Oregon is down 24-6 to Boise State. Unless have another big comeback in them, the Pac-10 will be down to one unbeaten (and one ranked team most likely unless ASU pulls off a shocker tonight) with still one weekend left to play in September. That's pretty awful.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Still a lot of football to play tonight, but it's looking like the Tzar Lysergic Flaming Nutstomp Total Fucking Slaughter Of The Week Award is going to go to Clemson, with their 54-0 win over South Carolina State. Not as bad as last week's massacre, as SC St managed to put together a 40 yard drive and miss a field goal.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 In the third quarter, it looked like North Carolina had a decisive advantage in all facets of the VT game, up 17-3. They've just collapsed since, giving up 17 unanswered points and committing a lot of stupid penalties. Very close to making that 2nd-year leap, but this is a big missed opportunity if they can't come back in the final 2 minutes.

Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Also, Arizona stomped UCLA. That fluky win against Tennessee is apparently just as fluky as it seemed then--and not too impressive even then, given Tennessee's brutal performance under the oppressive boot of the Gators today. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Still Fly, getting back to your point on WVU....when did they really underachieve until this fiasco under Stewart? In 2005 they made the BCS and beat UGA. In 2006 they finished 2nd in the Big East since U of L was a little better team (and that game was at Papa John's). Last year they won the league and another BCS game, although the Pitt game was a disaster. They really achieved about what they should have. This year however? They remind me a lot of U of L last year for so many reasons. New coach that is clearly in over his head. Senior QB that has to be frustrated. Lots of new personnel otherwise. The problem is that WVU basically had to go with Stewart after the OU game, and Pat White probably doesn't have great NFL prospects as a QB so I can see why he came back. Which begs the question, how bad is Tennessee this year? Early season evaluations are a bitch but if I had to rank the SEC from 1 to 12 at the moment, I think I'd put the Vols at #11 ahead of only Arkansas.
Mecca 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2008 Didn't help that UNC's QB went down either. I fuckin hate VT, can we stop picking their games they're hosing me. When I pick them to win they lose when I pick them to lose they win. Really fuck Frank Beamer that fat ass bastard.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2008 More big comebacks in the FCS too... Fordham scored 15 points in the 4th quarter and beat Columbia 29-22. UNC-Pembroke beat Jacksonville 22-21 after scoring 13 points in the 4th quarter. #24 Furman upset #6 Delaware 23-21. #19 Villanova beat Pennsylvania in OT 20-14 and #4 Montana barely held off UC Davis 29-24 despite allowing 14 points in the 4th quarter.
