Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 That 3 hour delay seemed like an eternity. This game will be pretty nerve-wracking. Top of the first over.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 What a great start for Freddy Garcia. First 2 batters 10 pitches no swings, 2 strikes.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 The divisional series scheduling is a bit frustrating, but with three games on one network someone was going to get hosed. I'm going to miss the first few hours of games one and two. Things will settle down when LCS play begins. Rooting for Gavin Floyd in this game.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 And that was a sweet ass curveball that Floyd flew to Gary Sheffield.
MFer 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Yeah, that pitch was pretty nasty. Sheff's going for #500 this game btw.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 What was with the old, wheezing black man in full Cubs uniform in the crowd?
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Floyd made a huge mistake throwing that ball to first base. Once he bobbled the ball, he should have held it and still had first and third with a tie game.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Yeah, that's the end right there.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Yeah, that's the end right there. Despite there being four innings left and the Tigers bullpen being AWFUL. Game's tied.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Fear not. The Tigers will throw the ball around the field and allow you to tie it. It's similar to the way they gift wrapped a WS title for the Cards two years ago.
Guest C*Z*E*C*H Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Bases loaded with a run, no hits. This is the most pathetic division race ever. I hate all of these Central teams, the White Sox now more than usual.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 I didn't know Endy Chavez played for the White Sox. Ramirez looks a lot like him except he has power. He absolutely crushed that ball.
strummer 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 one game playoff tomorrow for the AL Central that was a bomb
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 NEW ROOKIE GRAND SLAM RECORD! Before this inning, I thought the Sox were fucked. But my reaction was like Scarface's reaction to seeing the room full of weed in Half Baked, just with more jumping.
Guest C*Z*E*C*H Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Ugh. Well, thank God I missed that. Fuck this team; nobody associated with them deserves success. Not their shithead players, not their shithead office, not their shithead fans. See ya.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Ugh. Well, thank God I missed that. Fuck this team; nobody associated with them deserves success. Not their shithead players, not their shithead office, not their shithead fans. See ya. Wow. Bitter, ignorant asshole much? I like you, but based on this, you're probably making a good decision staying away during the playoffs. Insulting their fans is a tad bit much, regardless of your feelings on the team. Yeah, that's the end right there. Bob, you of all people should be able to relate to the "oh shit we're fucked and all hope is gone" feeling.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 It was the sixth inning in a close game. So no, I can't relate to being fucked or feeling like all hope was gone
migoli 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Baa! Fuck the Sox,worst part is I can't even get on the XBox and take my anger out!!
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 It was the sixth inning in a close game. So no, I can't relate to being fucked or feeling like all hope was gone With the way they were playing before that inning, what reason did anyone have to think they'd come back. Even with the grand slam, the only reason the opportunity was there was due to the Tigers colossal fuck-ups.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 what reason did anyone have to think they'd come back. Even with the grand slam, the only reason the opportunity was there was due to the Tigers colossal fuck-ups. It was still very early in the game, the Tigers aren't that good, etc. You're a terrible fan to write your team off like that
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Please, not the judgmental "this is what makes a good fan" crap again. P.S. Mets.
migoli 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Not because i'm a Twins fan (But it burns more because I am) but I think it's terrible that a coin flip decides home field for a 1 game playoff. Just seems like something like that should be based on head to head meetings.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 P.P.S. Why do I ask for it? Before every game, I get myself hyped up big time running around screaming Who Dat. I play several versions of House of the Rising Sun and When The Saints Go Marching In, and then finish off by playing The Saints Are Coming from the Saints' first game back at the Superdome. This usually involves me throwing things and whipping myself into a frenzy. My neighbour must be deaf or have a sound-proof apartment. Whenever they score a TD (+ extra point), I yell: TOUCHDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN SAINTS at the top of my lungs and play Blur's Song #2. Since I'm following the game at NFL.com and am a play behind, I watch the ticker on TV obsessively to try to figure out what kind of play happened. And if the Saints win, I play the song New Orleans. If they lose, I want to kill myself. And I always wear my Saints hat and Reggie Bush jersey. Geaux Saints!
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2008 Thank you for quoting a post that shows my devotion the Saints. It's a nice contrast to your cartman-esque season's over post when it was the 6th inning
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 I've never considered suicide after a loss. And I can quote some of your Mets posts, if needed. This started when you questioned my fandom because I showed concern, which I have good reason to do based on the team's September performance. Let's just drop it, okay? As CanadianChris said, please find my posts about the Mets. That'd be awesome! If you couldn't tell that I was being facetious about me saying "I want to kill myself" I feel sorry for you. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2008 Oh, I read a couple posts saying, "This is cruel" and it made me forget that you're such a great fan that you'll forsake a local team to hop on the bandwagon of a perennial division winner that beat said local team's ass for a decade and a half. My mistake!
