Well I experienced my first Thunder game tonight. I gotta say, these people have nothing on the Hornets when it comes to putting on a show. The Hornets games just had so much more energy and the music, entertainment and videos were done so much better. This honestly reminded me of a college game. Then again, it is new personnel running the show so I guess they have to be given time.

It was like the Hornets showed us what we could have, then we were stuck with this.

Great stuff so far in the Lakers/Bulls game. Highlights include Tyrus Thomas crashing threw some chairs in order to make a spectacular save, followed by Kobe doing a Superman leap over the same chairs (now occupied) while making a save of his own.

Also, this is the first time that they've used the "courtside view" camera angle on Fox Sports Prime Ticket, and while it works in showing off the details on an HDTV, it's very impractical and sucks even worse than the Kings "rinkside view". Plus, unlike those Kings games, there's no commentary. Luckily Fox Sports West is showing the game with normal camera angles and commentary.

Pacers bounce back with a nice win over the Hawks, who unfortunately lost Al Horford early in the game. Danny Granger goes for 34 after a couple off-nights.

And check out Rasho's line:

21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals.

Vinny Del Negro, the NBA's answer to Frank Stallone, apparently has Derrick Rose fill out some sort of personal-growth Q&A after every game. I think Vinny's sort of a doofus.

Nice sequence there. It recalls "a peanut is neither a pea nor a nut...oh wait, it is a nut" from The Critic.

I don't know how the Bulls managed to lose by 42 to the fucking Blazers. I wouldn't have been surprised if they lost to Portland, but after a good showing for 3 quarters against the Lakers, I didn't expect them to get raped like that even if they were worn out. The whole team was just atrocious.

I'm looking forward to Suns/Lakers tonight even though I'll only get to see the last quarter and a half, maybe.

That's because Portland was playing at home, where we are apparently invincible. I got tickets a couple days ago to go see them play the Kings and Nuggets on consecutive Tuesdays in December. Should be pretty fun.

No it's because the Bulls suck. Your reasoning is only gravy.

I never bought into those complaints that the Bulls needed to be blown up and rebuilt around Rose....until last night. Holy shit, they were bad. I don't even know how you can salvage that team in any way. Rose and Deng are the only players you should covet, Noah, Nocioni and Gooden too for their hustle and defense. Everyone else should be released. EVERYONE. Gordon and Hughes, in their combined years of experience, have never grasped an offensive scheme. They shoot jumpers off of transition regardless of whether it's 1-on-3 or 4-on-1, they both drive baseline 95% of the time and neither has the strength to finish. Let's not even forget they both don't play a lick of defense. Aaron Gray is the slowest player in the league today. Tyrus Thomas is the dumbest player in the league today. Thabo hasn't made any progress since coming into the league. Hinrich shouldn't fit into the team's plans with Rose entrenched as the primary ballhandler and slasher. Lindsey Hunter, Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons are gone this June regardless.

The best part is that Larry Hughes has been back for like two games after an injury and he's already publicly complaining about not getting enough minutes. You can't write these characters.

Yeah, it's too bad the Bulls are stuck with Hughes for the year due to his $13 million contract they had to eat to make the trade for the just as terrible Ben Wallace work. The Bulls went from an overabundance of guards to a marked deficiency at the position overnight. Hughes sucks, Lindsey Hunter has literally done nothing in his short time with the team, Hinrich's out 3 months, and what were they thinking putting Thabo Sefolosha (say it in the same tone Steven A. Smith uses for "Slava Medvedenko") in the starting lineup this season, however briefly?

I disagree with bravesfan- Gordon is quite talented on the offensive side, even if he doesn't play defense. Rose is well on his way to being a very good player. If Hinrich was around in a platoon guard/6th man role, Luol Deng and Ben Gordon could toughen up a bit, and the team could find a decent inside presence, they could be the contender they seemed to be shaping up to be not long ago. And before I wrap it up, that inside presence: Drew Gooden is not bad, but his problem has been that his offense has consisted of mid range jumpers- which he's good at, but it doesn't fill the need in the paint- and his defense has consisted of clotheslining and back body dropping people. So yeah, that's not going to work.

It saves the Knicks a year in terms of cap room, so as of right now, with that trade they'll be committed to about 35 million dollars at the end of 2010.

I've also heard 3 way rumors that would send Randolph to the Clippers for Mobley and Thomas.

That Thabo was so coveted by the Suns (where Del Negro comes from), that he just had to see what Thabo's all about... which is almost nothing. Hell, I remember Ripper wanting Thabo on the Suns too.

I get the Knicks side, but for the Warriors? So they'll put out a starting line up of four shooting guards and a center?

What's the point of any trade in the NBA, really. It's the most ridiculous system ever. BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE A SALARY CAP TO ENSURE PARITY.

What the hell is the point of that trade for the Clippers? That gives them THREE starting centers and Baron Davis.

They've reportedly been shopping Kaman. Baron/Ricky Davis/Thornton/Randolph/Camby is a kinda intriguing line-up. Too bad Dunleavy will have no idea what to do with it.

Speaking of line-ups. what the fuck are the Knicks going to trot out there? Duhon/Mobley/Q/Chandler/Lee? That's not going to win very many games.
