The road to urine: beat the shitty Chiefs, the demoralized Chargers, the crappy Texans, and the resting Buccaneers. IT COULD HAPPEN. Though that still only gets them to 7-9. This requires the Broncos to lose virtually every game.

The road to urine: beat the shitty Chiefs, the demoralized Chargers, the crappy Texans, and the resting Buccaneers. IT COULD HAPPEN. Though that still only gets them to 7-9. This requires the Broncos to lose virtually every game. That could happen. Once you lose to the Raiders at home, there are no easy games. The division champ will be no better than 8-8, and I don't know that I'd lay odds on even that good a record.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Czech, if the Oakland Raiders make the playoffs this year, as god as my witness, I will drive to Chicago and let you pee on me. The road to urine: beat the shitty Chiefs, the demoralized Chargers, the crappy Texans, and the resting Buccaneers. IT COULD HAPPEN. God damn! He's right! Won't happen. I don't want it to. They stumble and bumble their way to a 56-10 loss in the wild card? What comes of that? Nothing. I've had this debate with every Toronto Maple Leaf fan on the planet - as much as I'd like to see the Raiders make the playoffs (in theory), this is a rebuilding team. A playoff berth, which is a stretch, means the right to lose to the Ravens, Colts, or an AFC East team of your choice, and the loss of a draft pick. I said this at 7ish, but I'll say it again - doesn't anyone else think Tom Cable looks like John Goodman? Speaking of things that won't happen......I really just had a hunch that San Diego would win tonight. My last comment on brash playoff picks, since I'm drunk, Jim Mora is my favourite person to quote while drunk: Playoffs?! You kiddin' me?
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 The great thing about Denver in the playoffs is the WC team they play will probably have 11 wins and Denver wont even be the favorite at home.
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 the resting Buccaneers. I hope to fuck that Gruden learned his lesson on that one last year. Given what happened with the Giants, I'd be surprised to see any team (even the Cardinals or the Titans, who are both likely to win their division with about a quarter of the season remaining) rest their starters for more than a half. Didn't Agent threaten (or promise, maybe) to photograph himself sucking his own dick if the Titans made the Super Bowl? That's about a million times more likely than Czech getting peed on. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 And now, to check the predictions: Thurs: CIN @ PIT: I know the Bengals are coming off their epic tie with the Eagles, but the Steelers can't remotely afford to lose to Cincy with some tough games left. Pittsburgh by 12. (This one was easy enough. 1 for 1) Sunday: 1:00 PHI @ BAL: Okay, after that hideous outing against the Bengals I can't in good conscience pick the Eagles to win at Baltimore. Ravens by 5. (Ouch, the hunch was right about Philly but the wheels have completely fallen off. 2 for 2) NYJ @ TEN: Really looking forward to this game. Favre will get close to pulling this one off, but against the Titans D he's probably going to throw a key INT that costs the Jets. Titans keep the awesome undefeated vs. winless scenario alive for Thanksgiving. Tennessee by 7. (Dead wrong about this game. Bravo to the Jets, they were terrific today. 2 for 3) TB @ DET: Ah, speaking of Thanksgiving....Tampa has to beat down the Lions to keep that matchup alive. This could be closer than expected however, since Tampa sucks on the road. Bucs by 6. (Well, as usual the Lions started well and fell apart after that. 3 for 4) MIN @ JAC: Battle of underachievers. I've never been a big fan of the Jags, just find their style of play boring. Minnesota is just what they are, an adequate team that wins some and loses some but could be better than they are if they had a star QB. Regardless, the Jags could be done after the Titans took their manhood, so I'll take the Vikings by 3. (Speaking of the wheels coming off, Eagles meets the Jags. 4 for 5) BUF @ KC: I keep expecting the Chiefs to finally pull off a win, so Zetterberg this pick is for you. Buffalo looks done right now, Chiefs have to win one at home at some point, so I'll take KC by 4. (Thigpen was a nice addition to my fantasy lineup at least, but the Chiefs suck. 4 for 6) CHI @ STL: The Bears got waxed badly at Lambeau, but playing the Rams is a good way to get back on track. Steven Jackson is still hurt, so the Bears should cruise here. Chicago by 14. (This was the expected beatdown. 5 for 7) NE @ MIA: This is by far the hardest game to call of the week. On one hand Miami is winning but look really mediocre in doing so, beating Seattle and Oakland by 2 points each. Pats always struggle in Miami, but will Cassel? This just seems like a scenario where Belichick finds a way to steal one on the road, so I'll take NE by 3. (Don't look now but the Pats are starting to get scary again on offense now that Cassel has hit a groove. 6 for 8) SF @ DAL: Niners are starting to play better under Singletary but this is another game that Dallas can't afford to lose if they want to get to the playoffs. I think it will be tougher than expected though. Dallas by 7. (Dallas won a bit easier than expected, but they have to win games like this. 7 for 9) HOU @ CLE: Houston puzzles me, since they play the Colts like their lives depend on it but suck against most everyone else. When in doubt, take the home team in a game like this. Browns by 8. (Total clunker game, did anyone care at all? 7 for 10) 4:00 OAK @ DEN: Still not remotely buying Denver, and the way things would go now they would get the Colts in another first round beating. That said, it's at Mile High, so they will take care of the Raiders yet again. Broncos by 10. (This was the single most baffling result of the day. Can anyone figure out the Broncos this year? Or the Raiders for that matter? 7 for 11) CAR @ ATL: All right Panthers, the crappy part of the schedule is over. Falcons desperately need a win after letting the Denver game slip away, so I think ATL bears down and somehow escapes with a win. Carolina hasn't proven much on the road thus far anyway. Falcons by 4. (Much easier than expected, Falcons are a really fun team this year. 8 for 12) NYG @ ARI: Cardinals are actually favored to win this game, but has Vegas watched their last 2 games? They barely escaped SF, and almost coughed up a game to Seattle. Even with Bradon Jacobs banged up the Giants should punish Kurt Warner and get the win here. NYG by 9. (Almost got this one exactly right, G-Men won it by 8. 9 for 13) WAS @ SEA: Okay, this is the upset pick of the week. Seattle is still reasonably tough at home and the Redskins are coming back down to earth after a hot start. Seattle by 2. (Ah crap, it was a decent upset pick but just didn't quite happen. 9 for 14) Sunday Night Football IND @ SD: Colts never quite seem to catch the Chargers at the right time, since SD desperately needs to win this game while Indy can lose maybe 2 more and still be in the playoffs. Yet if the Colts can't beat the Chargers now, when will they ever do it? I'm torn. When in doubt, take the more desperate team. SD by 1, though I hope I'm wrong. (The expected nailbiter Colts/Chargers game and the Colts FINALLY beat these guys. Glad to be wrong. 9 for 15) Bleh, not the greatest week of predictions. USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 I wonder, since Jeff Fisher said that Kerry Collins would start every game until they lost a game, in which Vince Young would then return to the starting lineup. I understand the Titans sticking with Collins as the starting QB for the rest of the season, but I don't see why Fisher and the coaching staff don't try working him into a few plays. Put him in the backfield with Collins and use him as a threat to run, pass, or even break out into the flat as a receiver. With a guy that talented they should try to make use of him even if it's not having him line up under the gun every down.

Obi Chris Kenobi 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 Miami v New England was the best neutral game I've seen in a while! Regarding Vince Young, with more and more teams using the 'wildcat' formation, wouldn't he be the perfect guy (if he can sort his head) to use in that formation? As Hogan made Wrestling said he can almost do it all - run/pass.

JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2008 I'm loving the fact that the Raiders are only a game out of second place and three games out of first in the AFC West at 3-8. Holy shit this division is bad. The Chargers play the Falcons next week and we play the 1 win Chiefs (at home!). Second place is within our grasp. Listening to Greg Papa calling the Raiders first offensive touchdown in forever was awesome.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 Awesome defense by the Packers tonight. After that opening pair of 3 and outs I was afraid the game wouldn't be the shootout everyone was hoping for. Brees could use a 500 yard game tonight if he's hoping to break the record. Judging by the schedule, I'm guessing CBS would have blocked the game from being flexed, as they have absolutely nothing else worth watching that week.
