CanadianGuitarist Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Season 4, Episode 2 - A Streetcar Named Marge You absolute cocksucker. What a pick. As you know, I waffled on my last pick, and chose Burns, Baby Burns at the last second. The post would have read "I'm worried about opening the floodgates to my list of potential picks." I still think it'll happen, but in the six or seven episodes taken between last round and this, only two were on my list: Milky's, and Mayored to the Mob. So, with held breath, I take: Marge Gets A Job. Was there a better one-episode gag ever that was better than Tibor? If you can find one, tell me, since my Swahili's not as good as yours.
Twisted Intestine Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Season 1, Episode 12 Krusty gets busted
RepoMan Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Season 4, Episode 13: Selma's Choice Anncr: Come to Duff Gardens, where roaming gangs aren't a problem anymore. Now featuring the clean-shaven sound of "Hooray for Everything"! [A large auditorium with the gang in a beer-bottle construct.] All: Hey, kids. Take a walk on the wild side! Boy: And all the races sing... All: Shoo-be-doo, shooby-dooby-doo, shoo-be-do, shooby-dooby-doo, yeah!
King Kamala Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 I'm a big fan of Grampa Simpson so I'm going to go with an episode focused on him for the next pick. While I greatly enjoy his batshit insane behavior, I also like seeing the easier to relate to aspects of his character and this one did a very good job of balancing the two. I'm going to go with... Season 5, Episode 21- "Lady Bouvier's Lover" (Abe walks slowly down the street after being rejected by Jacqueline Simpson for Mr. Burns) Abe: Good night, Mrs. Bouvier. Wherever you are... (Blue Haired Lawyer approaches him out of nowhere) Lawyer: Mr. Simpson, I represent the estate of Jimmy Durante. I have a court order demanding an immediate halt to this unautorized imitation. Boys? (The lawyer's goons grab Abe's hat and stomp on it then the three leave) Abe: Well would it be alright with you if I just laid down the street and died? Lawyer (Off screen, shuffling papers): Yes, that would be acceptable.
DMann2003 Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Amazed this one lasted so long Season 5, Episode 18 Burn's Heir
Youth N Asia Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Season 3, Episode 3: When Flanders Failed
Gert T Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 My next pick I select: The Twisted World of Marge Simpson/Season 8
Kahran Ramsus Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Probably my favourite Marge episode, unless you count the Monorail, but Homer is more the main focus in that.
BlackFlagg Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 Brady's time is up, Gert is back up
BradyQuinnManCrush Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I'll try to screw this up again, Season 9 Lisa the Skeptic Wiggum: Everybody's heard of an angel, who ever heard of a neanderthal? And...Season 11 Missionary: Impossible Homer: I'm not not licking toads.
Gert T Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 With my next pick I select: I D'oh Bot/Season 15/Episode 9 "What if they like pizza Chief?"
Youth N Asia Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Season 4, Episode 14: Brother from the Same Planet Big brother representative: And what are your reasons for wanting a little brother? Homer's Brain: Don't say revenge. Don't say revenge. Homer: Uh... revenge? Homer's Brain: That's it. I'm getting out of here. [sound effects] [step, step, step, step, step... slam]
RepoMan Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Season 4, Episode 14: Brother from the Same Planet Big brother representative: And what are your reasons for wanting a little brother? Homer's Brain: Don't say revenge. Don't say revenge. Homer: Uh... revenge? Homer's Brain: That's it. I'm getting out of here. DMann2003 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Season Six, Episode 11 Fear of Flying Homer: It's okay Marge, we can just wait for the killer bees to come to us. Homer:But I keep telling you I'm not a pilot! Flight crewman: And I keep telling you you flyboys crack me up!
CanadianGuitarist Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 With my next pick I select: I D'oh Bot/Season 15/Episode 9 "What if they like pizza Chief?" This episode unfairly gets a lot of slack because of the awful Lisa angle. The two announcers from Robot Rumble were awesome.
King Kamala Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 I'm not a huge fan of episodes of sitcoms that try to tackle serious political issues but I make an exception for The Simpsons since they're generally not too preachy and more importantly funny. Season Seven, Episode Twenty Three "Much Apu About Nothing" Homer: Let the bears pay the bear tax. I pay the Homer tax. Lisa: That's the home owner tax Homer: Well anyway, I'm still outraged!
RepoMan Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Season 8, Episode 14: The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show The name's Poochie D And I rock the telly, I'm half Joe Camel And a third Fonzarelli. I'm the kung fu hippie From gangsta city, I'm a rappin' surfer, You the fool I pity. Database: On the "Itchy & Scratchy" CD-ROM, is there a way to get out of the dungeon without using the wizard key? Homer: What the hell are you talking about? Homer: One, Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Poochie's not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Poochie"? Three...

Kahran Ramsus Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 Season 3, Episode 21 - Black Widower Bob: No, Selma. This is lying. That was a well-plotted piece of nonclaptrap that never made me want to retch.

Homer: I told you last night, no! Marge: I'm here to share my moral outrage. But this time it's not about that giant inflatable "Dos Equis" bottle. It's about a certain house in our town. Moe: Yeah, well what's wrong with this house? Is it the plumbing? Marge: No. It's a house of ill fame. A house of loose ethics. Brockman: Is there a building code violation? A drainage issue? A surveying error? Marge: [annoyed] The house is perfectly fine! Wiggum: Well, then quite bad-mouthing the house! Otto: Yeah, leave the house alone!
