The crowd kind of sucked after the 3 count, but that is partly Jeff's fault, he didn't really act like he gave fuck after he got the belt. He should've went all out, like Eddie did at No Way Out. Edge won his 1st title in the most chicken shit way possible, at NYR 2006, yet he still showed more emotion then Jeff did tonight.

At that time, they will present the new custom Jeff Hardy themed world title that will become the de facto belt for the next four years. That oughta be interesting, I've never seen a championship belt shaped like a rolled up dollar bill before. Or a needle?

I thought that the JBL-Michaels segment was the only compelling thing on the show. The work was good enough, but like I said before, none of the finishes mattered to me. Not a single one. So I didn't care what happened. It's a shame, really, since I should have been ecstatic over the main event, like I would have been a year ago if Hardy had gone over at the Rumble. But, as a fan, he totally fucked me one too many times. Good for him, I guess.

I didn't watch the PPV tonight since I figured there was no way they would get the belt off Edge so soon and that Hardy should wait until WM to get it. Either way I would expect Edge to get the belt back fairly soon with Christian and Tomko showing up to reveal themselves as the guys who attacked Jeff. Considering what has been set up on SD recently Kozlov might be the yearly filler Rumble challenger. Anyone else puzzled by the Batista/Orton booking? Considering the winner here is likely to get a title shot soon it (and Batista/Cena II is likely saved for WM) I would have expected Orton to win in screwy fashion to set up Orton/Cena for the Rumble.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 There were so many kids at this show. That's the first thing I have to say. SOOO many fucking kids. Which is good for WWE...but bad for my head. I was rooting for Hardy since they were going on last and that upped his chances...but the little shit next to me was SOOO annoying that I decided to root against him. I can tell you this with 100% certainty: The crowd didn't believe that Hardy had a chance in hell of winning that match. They did a few set up finishes where if you thought a step or two ahead you could see Hardy winning...and no one reacted. Zero confidence in the guy. Cena/Jericho, Hardy/HHH/Edge and Punk/Rey were all really good. Orton/Batista...you could have heard a pin drop at any point in that match. The neverending Orton headlock didn't help. Show was really well paced though. I went with a friend who doesn't watch wrestling...so I was trying to explain some things to him as they happened...but there was a few times (Khali kiss cam, the freaks in the back segment) where it occured to me just how ridiculous what I watch is.

When Cena threw his hat during his entrance, the person who caught it in the crowd was escorted out of the building because he reached into the Tech booth to grab it. What the fuck is that shit?! He just wanted the damn hat...Obviously this is hearsay, but if true, is crap.
