SteakGrowsOnUecker Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Ok I've talked to Gabe and got his picks. He takes: Chien-Ming Wang, SP and Jason Giambi, 1B He says he will have internet access this week. So get Erich Aybar while you can.
treble Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 C Victor Martinez (pre-steroid testing)
HarleyQuinn Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Had this guy last year... he'd be the next Mike Piazza if he could stick at C and not be screwed by Mathis, IMO. He's the next power stud regardless. C Mike Napoli
Der Kommissar Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I had this guy last season and liked him, so I guess I'll give him another go: Francisco Rodriguez, RP He looks pretty excited to re-join the team.
Precious Roy Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Ideally I'd have liked to get this guy a round or two later to get better keeper value, but he'd be long gone by the time I get my next pick at the end of round 6. Here's hoping he comes up big in his second year after TJ surgery. Francisco Liriano, SP
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I didnt think I was ever going to get to make a pick..just waitin on Roy's 2nd pick
Precious Roy Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I don't have a pick in rd. 4, you're up
Precious Roy Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Actually no, sorry, thepinjockey has the first pick of rd. 4
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 dang it, i looked at it wrong, I could of sworn it snaked around.. Im gonna have to send my pick to the next in line behind me since I work all day tomorrow and Im about 2 hours from going to bed.
the pinjockey Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Fuck it, give me Papi, David Ortiz, Util
Cheech Tremendous Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I thought Brooklyn Zoo added him as a keeper.
the pinjockey Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 He dropped him as the alteration. I had to double check to make sure I remembered correctly.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 NuclearTBD selects JJ Hardy, SS and for a bonus: JJ Hardy and Corey Hart playing ping pong while Bob Uecker watches in a speedo.
Der Kommissar Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I might as well continue to strengthen my pitching by grabbing another player I had last year: Jered Weaver, SP
St. Gabe Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Just for the record Guys, I apologize. I was on vacation and had virtually no internet access. The Aybar pick will apparently be my legacy, so I must explain. I had limited time on the internet while I was down there, so no time to research. I figured Id check post season stats and Aybar was the first name that popped up with decent stats, plus I had remembered vaguely the name. At any rate...I could have had Derek Jeter....I will gladly be the whipping boy this season, but have no fear, no more long waits for picks from me. Oh, and a little more research.
Cheech Tremendous Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Chris B. Young, OF - Looking sharp and ready to join the Stat Mongers.
Guest Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I better get Brian Fuentes before someone else has the chance. 45 saves?
Krankor Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 Is Matt Young dead? Anyone know what the hell he's doing?
treble Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 The one time we want Matt Young around and he's nowhere to be seen.
Krankor Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 If anyone happens to see him on the board, bombard him with pm's telling him to pick. He has 2 make up picks for his mistakes, and pretty soon he's going to have another 2.
treble Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 Are we just going to skip over him again once his turn comes up (assuming he hasn't made his make-ups yet)?
Krankor Posted February 10, 2009 Author Report Posted February 10, 2009 Sure he's had enough time already. He's had more than enough time already. I see no reason why we should sit around for 18 hours and then another 18 hours after JHawk goes waiting for him.
Styles Posted February 10, 2009 Report Posted February 10, 2009 It's CLOSER RUN TIME! Carlos Marmol, RP
