Robocop is in two brackets too I'll do my votes if its suppose to be like that, but it doesn't seem very balanced. Yeah, movies could be nominated for more than one category if they fit in more than one. A few movies are like that (Robocop, Lawrance of Arabia, The Dark Knight) ... It's because we're deciding the best movie from each category as subprizes, and then the best overall movie as the main prize. If a movie wins in two categories, it will go up against itself in round five. Where would you put Ghostbusters, in horror? I think it's more of a comedy than anything else. Just compared to the films around it in comedy, its hardly comedy.
Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 Yeah but then I'd have to eliminate one of the other Sci-Fi movies, and nominate a new comedy.

Twisted Intestine 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 Yeah, I didn't want to get too OCD over the whole thing though. In the long run, it doesn't really matter. The movies that people think are the best from each category will win. Like I said, Ghostbusters fell enough under comedy for me to accept it and I haven't seen the other two so couldn't say anything about them.
Boon 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 It's too bad we couldn't have done some seeding. Some of these first round matchups are really difficult, while some mediocre films look like they're going to get a free pass for a few rounds- Crime and Gangster is the hardest bracket as is. Ah well.
