CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 And away we go! I knew the Big East would get three #1s. I didn't think Memphis would get enough respect in the committee room for their conference.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Midwest: Louisville East: Pitt South: North Carolina West: UConn
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Not a single bubble team with the live CBS cameras so no heartbreak or exhilaration shots this year.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 I noticed that, that sucks. I was expecting a camera with St. Mary's or Creighton, at least.
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Morehead State: Yeaaaaaaaah, we're not really in the touranment!
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 HOLY SHIT! Arizona is in. The committee just can't quit the Wildcats.
naiwf Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Boo to that Arizona selection. A 12 seed? Come on.
2GOLD Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Creighton, St Mary's and San Diego St are so screwed. USC vs Boston College in round 1, well that's just fun. And Kansas gives us a golf clap while West VA goes gay.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Midwest: (1) Louisville vs. play-in (Alabama St./Morehead St.) (8) Ohio St. vs. (9) Siena (5) Utah vs. (12) Arizona (4) Wake Forest vs. (13) Cleveland St. (2) Michigan St. vs. (15) Robert Morris (7) Boston College vs. (10) USC (6) West Virginia vs. (11) Dayton (3) Kansas vs. (14) North Dakota St.
Smues Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I just need to say bullshit to that Arizona bid. That's a lifetime achievement award bid right there. Should have made them do the play-in game.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 How cool is it to get in the tournament for the first time ever and draw the defending champs? That's going to be fun to watch. I think ND State can hang with Kansas for a half at least.
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 I just need to say bullshit to that Arizona bid. That's a lifetime achievement award bid right there. Should have made them do the play-in game. That's been my proposal for a while. The play in game should be a true play in game between the last two bubble teams for the last #12 seed. It would be a hundred times more interesting than the current set up.
Smues Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 God damnit a #4 seed for UW. I was praying for a #3 seed. I knew losing to ASU was going to bite us.
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Maryland makes it and is in easily. Hopefully they fuck Cal up.

It would be a hundred times more interesting than the current set up. I agree. I dunno if I'd even give them a #12 seed, but the play-in game should be the last two bubble teams, not some small conference teams that won their tourny getting fucked by not even getting a real #16 seed. And damn an at-large for Maryland too. I'm not liking this so far.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 West: (1) UConn vs. Chattanooga (8) BYU vs. (9) Texas A&M (5) Purdue vs. (12) Northern Iowa (4) Washington vs. (13) Mississippi St. (2) Memphis vs. (15) Cat St. Northridge (7) Cal vs. (10) Maryland (6) Marquette vs. (11) Utah St. (3) Missouri vs. (14) Cornell
Czech please! Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 That's going to be fun to watch. I think ND State can hang with Kansas for a half at least. Oh no, they'll get summarily killed. Does the historically black university ALWAYS get the play-in game?
Smues Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 This is the first time I've seen this series of State Farm commercials and I'm already sick of them.
2GOLD Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 So who is the third major conference team that looked dead that will get a bid? Auburn perhaps? Penn State?
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 That's going to be fun to watch. I think ND State can hang with Kansas for a half at least. Oh no, they'll get summarily killed. I dunno, Kansas has a history of choking like dogs early in the tournament.
JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Hell yeah, my alma mater Cal State Northridge made the tourney! GO MATADORS!
2GOLD Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Florida State draws a five and gets WISCONSIN?!? God dammit, you committee guys are assholes!
Smues Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Oh man Binghamton gets a #15 against Duke. And I was completely ready to root for Binghamton against anybody but Duke or UW. Sorry Kornheiser, Duke needs to win.
Czech please! Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Wisconsin is my 12-over-5 for the year.
CanadianChris Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 East: (1) Pitt vs. (16) East Tennessee St. (8) Oklahoma St. vs. (9) Tennessee (5) Florida St. vs. (12) Wisconsin (4) Xavier vs. (13) Portland St. (2) Duke vs. (15) Binghamton (7) Texas vs. (10) Minnesota (6) Villanova vs. (11) American (3) UCLA vs. (14) VCU
Smues Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 And here's the only mention you'll see of the WSU Cougars on this show. Eat it Pullman!
Bored Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Ohhh they do have a cam on Penn State and St. Mary's! They were just teasing us earlier. I do hope the Gaels get in as I'd like a Bay Area school who isn't Cal in the tournament.
