  1. Oh, and for now, this is all just posturing.
  2. The irony is that despite PRIDE's LW division being much deeper than the UFC's, Gomi has about 3 terrible, terrible style match-ups for him in the cage that are arguably tougher than anything PRIDE can offer right now.
  3. Randy easily took both Ricco & Barnett down early (and in Ricco's case, pretty often), and proceeded to unleash all he could early in both fights. In the end though, both guys were able to gain top position themselves, and in typical wrestler fashion, Randy couldn't muster up much from his back and got smashed.
  4. Randy's an average finisher. Always has been, always will be. Even if he gets Tim down, it's unlikely he grinds it out quickly enough to avoid gassing and getting pummeled later.
  5. Henderson looked much better at LHW against Vitor then he had in his last few MW bouts.
  6. If by "punked" you mean having to sit through 4 of the most god-awful man-on-man assrammings masquearding as submission wrestling, then yes.
  7. She must've said something bad about Jermain Taylor.
  8. To reiterate: fuck ATT.
  9. Whatever Sherk's injury, I hope it's fatal.
  10. Word is Fedor basically carried Hunt, probably just to make sure the night didn't end with a 30 second squash.
  11. Add in the possiblity of Cro-Cop, and I also think Napao would be even-money with him even with his questionable cardio.
  12. Renzo will be giving up a bit of size against Frank, though. Renzo's always been somewhere between a welterweight/middleweight, while Frank has always been a decent-sized middle.
  13. Eh. Heath's a decent fighter, but the fact is that whatever marketability he has is overshadowed by the fact that even with a consistency he's never had he'll struggle to be amongst the 5 best UFC HW's.
  14. I can't help but think that if true, this match is punishment for O'Brien dissapointing against Shockman.
  15. LotC is on the money here. Vera knows how the game is played, and knows better than to overstep his bounds when he knows he's on the verge of making some serious money.
  16. Come on, he did land some decent shots the few chances he got. I don't see how the fight was frustrating outside of a local guy losing, as both guys put forth good performances with styles that simply stifled each other.
  17. Between schlubs like Davis, Torres & Grove all becoming perfectly passable fighters, I'm starting to wonder if the TUF casting agents have a better eye for talent then I give them credit for. Also, I'm actually suprised that Koscheck was able to do as much damage to Joslin as he did considering Jeff's guard. A good showing from both guys, IMO.
  18. Serra via screaming inside trip. Also, I'll I try to upload most of the VotT matches when I get a chance.
  19. In a year of highly anticipated rematches, DSE has topped them all by announcing Tamura/Minowa II.
  20. Had Kawajiri/Hansen not ended in a DQ, SHOOTO's VotT would probably go down as the best card of the year.
  21. Actually, I think the card is rather solid, and should deliver in terms of entertainment, if not overall competitiveness. My main problem with the card aside from Wellisch/Perrosh likely airing is that Okami is taking a step back in competition in an undercard match, while gearing towards a possible title shot.
  22. - Tito & Chuck will be a longer version of the first fight. - Arlovski should smash Pe de Pano impressively. - Jardine vs Griffin will be a battle of two talented grapplers trying to strike. - Bisping vs. Schafer will likely be quick and entertaining one way or another. - DeSouza's fights are rarely boring, though it's not impossible to think Alves will go into ATT Blanket Mode. - Napao has a big opprotunity to finally live up to the hype by dispatching Marrero easily. - Okami continues rolling in a fight no one will see again. - Perrosh & Wellisch both suck.
  23. I'm seriously contemplating if doing the cabbage patch in your guys' faces after Hioki humiliates Hominick again is worth the air fare.
  24. Hansen's wrestling isn't anything special, so it's not entirely unlikely that Aoki will actually have the edge in takedowns (if he chooses to chase top position), and while Hansen is a great grappler, he hasn't actually looked that great against another good grappler in a while. I think that unless he reverts to blanketing Aoki, he'll actually be giving Aoki opprotunities to reverse or go for submissions of his own throughout the match.
  25. You could just mention that the UFC's welterweight division is MMA's deepest and boasts arguably 3 Top 5 Pound for Pound Fighters alone, to mention nothing of the other divisions.
