  1. That's probably because the pseudo-gay rapport didn't work well with Nancy there. Ben was still Ben though, and I'm always impressed as to how much this guy really knows... Beat the Geeks was also good, although I wasn't ever impressed by the guest Geek.
  2. Ray Lewis has provided some decent unintentional comedy so far this game. I mean, how shocking is it that he gets double teamed?
  3. and winning the title with the help of two other men didn't? Well, I'm sure it did, but I'd have to, you know, WATCH the PPVs to see that...
  4. I'm impressed - that finish actually made HHH look weak...
  5. Actually, I'm pretty sure the dual-sided lightsaber made its first appearance years ago in one of Dark Horse's Star Wars comics, but I can't remember which one. In another topic: Can someone please post Easter Eggs for the DVDs or maybe a link? Thanks. I know it showed up in Kevin J Anderson's Jedi Academy novel trilogy - the guy who built it was instructed to by a Sith Master. Another one to maybe look out for is a multi-phase lightsaber like the one Corran Horn built in I, Jedi. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lucas crib that idea.
  6. Generally I don't "hate" a movie I haven't seen but Catwoman would definitely fall into this category. Normally I just don't bother seeing a movie that I'm probably not gonna like anyways. This would include most movies starring Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise or Gerbil Boy.
  7. We also have the best friends from Queens. Not as good as twins, but they look bouncy.
  8. Picture of teams (numbers correspond to previous post) Never mind what I said about the guys. They look more Cha Cha Cha than Alpha Male. Based on the pictures I'd now guess that team 5 or 7 will win...
  9. I doube it. All those droids look alike after a while... Some of my best friends are droids... ...I just don't want my daughter bringing one home That's the fear isn't it. I've heard rumours about those Artoo's units...
  10. btw, TAR6 has apparently been pushed back to November (avoiding the World Series?), and I found this on InsidePulse about the teams A Playmate (I think she's one of the busty blonde ones), pro wrestlers and a chick (I think) with the same name as Darth Vader. Plus what sounds like an Alpha Male team, which almost by default makes you peg them as a Final 3 team. No Rich and Rudy though, as was rumoured...
  11. To paraphrase Phil Hellmuth, if it weren't for bad picks I'd win every time...
  12. I doube it. All those droids look alike after a while... Funny...
  13. Apparently they cut out the Roadblock in the last leg, where they had to build a teepee. Don't know exactly where it fit in chronologically, but I'd suppose that it came after the detour.
  14. Sayid dying would probably be in one of those cliched moments. Hurley's my favourite so far, because he's kind of like the "everyman" in the show.
  15. So, are you and Polishuk gonna have a competition to see who posts the longest review? (Assuming that Polishuk will start doing SNL recaps again on InsidePulse...)
  16. Amy wasn't good in her WU anchor debut, but the black hole of suck that is Horatio Sanz actually made me forget that she wasn't all that great...
  17. I think they aired the pilot in it's entirety tonight, so you may have seen the first 2 eps...
  18. Well, it's better than having noone else interested in the show...
  19. Moroccan is a natural progression from Middle Eastern fare, I think, so you may be right about that. I can understand that. Although, I think that Morimoto and Sakai knew that they were jobbing - that egg battle had none of the "traditional" Morimoto style that I could tell. And before I forget, Todd English is another one who needs to get bitchslapped in a battle...
  20. Morimoto shouldn't hafto change anything. They should get judges that actually know about food (I hated that Sopranos guy) or stop trying to get revenge for Pearl Harbor this time around. Here's why I said that. The tasters that you get are, for the most part, going to be exactly like Big Pussy or the girls from the original. Sure they'll try to be impartial, but in the end they're more likely to prefer what they know, and that will generally give the ICs at least a 1 point advantage. Morimoto, however is at a disadvantage because of his previous experience. He's used to cooking based on Japanese tastes and extrapolating different tastes from that. What he'd need to do is draw more on his experiences with his restaurant in Philly than with his IC history.
  21. Drop/Add question. I've got the Packer D that was servicable until Peyton Manning made all 11 men his bitches. Available are Arizona, Cinci, Detroit, New Orleans, The Jets, San Diego and San Fran. Out of all these (including the Pack), which two should I get?
  22. Good review. Although you missed out on something about the gameplay. EA has already tried a "Fight Club"-ish game with wrestling "rules", and WCW Backstage Assault didn't exactly get high marks with reviewers or the general public, so the shift to more of a fighting game is understandable. I also think you nailed it when you talked about the controls. The rental copy I had had no instructions, so when I popped it in I had a real hard time figuring out what the hell was going on. But the tutorial at the beginning of the game helped sort all that out.
  23. Yeah, it seems like just yesterday when the NBA "Dream On" Team was self-destructing at the Olympics...
  24. Well, they waited exactly 5 issues before retconning the Magneto crap that Morrison left behind, and Bendis is exclusive, so... 18 months.
  25. Seeing as there's no hockey for the next little while, I'm looking forward to the season more than usual. Lots of drama with my boys because of Vince (who I assume will be professional about playing), and an interesting new look with the local team with a Macgrady-Yao combo leading the way...
