  1. There's generally a few months in between filming the pilot and the rest of the shows, so maybe the kid just grew or got a new haircut or something...
  2. However, he took his nickname from the dog. And there's the issue of his underage "friend", Short Round. If Jabba the Hutt had actually been the fat Irishman, then he'd have been a real manly man. Crimelord, got his own palace, chicks in bikinis chained to him, and disposed of when he gets bored. Too bad he was a big slug... And speaking of Star Wars, after (re)watching Ep IV on DVD, I'm once again reminded of what a whiny bitch Luke was...
  3. Ben Sisko owns Kirk and everyone needs to recognize. Although to be fair, he didn't reach the upper echelon of badassness until he shaved his head. And if your TV name is Wesley you're probably a wuss, or an annoying little fuck. Other manly men: - Jack Bauer - Tommy Oliver - Wong Fei Hong (real person, played by about 1000 different people in movies) - Steve McNair... what do mean he's real?
  4. This is idiotic. Then again, they probably do the same thing in some street races. And it isn't Reality TV. This is pretty much straight gambling.
  5. Still weird Christopher Walken was Lucas' original choice for Han! Now that woulda rocked. Also hard. SNL's sketch with Walken as Solo was gold. -=Mike I think it was Kevin Spacey as Walken as Solo, actually... but it was still gold.
  6. It's the principle, I think. I take it the non-penalty was on the QB, and would've been a 15-yarder?
  7. As they say, it is the Greatest Page In The History Of The IWC. To judge from the posts, Lita is a "no quit no spit" kind of slut.
  8. Willis would've won the Olympic Gold for the US with one hand tied behind his back. In all serious, it's nice to see that a 75-year old center can still find a team that will take him. Then again, this is a league where Yogi Stewart can find employment... I think Jordan needs to fire his advisors if this is true. Or at least stop talking to guys like Deion Sanders and Mario Lemieux...
  9. Somehow I totally missed Madrox 2 weeks ago. Now I'm pissed... ...and other than that, I've no reason to go to the store.
  10. Longwell's your guy for kicker. Fitzgerald will probably do well as Anquan Boldin's garbage time replacement, but Mr. TMTDB is probably a better choice. Start Keyshawn
  11. They should make it a Komodo Dragon or something. Although I don't think those things are exactly fast...
  12. City of Tampa picks: Arizona at Atlanta (9.5) Baltimore (2.5) at Cincinnati Chicago at Minnesota (8.5) Cleveland at N.Y. Giants (3.5) Houston at Kansas City (9.5) Jacksonville at Tennessee (5.5) New Orleans at St. Louis (6.5) Philadelphia (5.5) at Detroit Pittsburgh at Miami (1.5) San Diego at Denver (10.5) Green Bay at Indianapolis (5.5) San Francisco at Seattle (10.5) Tampa Bay at Oakland (2.5) Dallas at Washington (3.5) The Bucs will score 13 points.
  13. My expectations for III are that it's better than II. Surely he can at least do that...
  14. Well, Grimm was a test pilot, so he's not likely to be TOO tall. He's probably about 6' ish, and looks shorter because Richards is a tall lanky type. Also the Thing has typically been drawn as being about as wide as he is tall, which contributes to him looking shorter than he actually is. I think that he's also drawn as slightly hunched over, which would fit with his character of being a man trapped inside a monster, with no way of getting out.
  15. My thoughts exactly. Guy always seems to have tried hard to entertain the fans, and that's about all you can ask for. Favourite Bossman feud: Bossman vs. the Heenan Family.
  16. Wasn't someone saying that the pilot was actually 2 hours, and the Kill Bill-ed it into two parts? That would definitely explain the drawn out nature of the ep. I like Fat Guy in that he's not written as comic relief, which would have been easy. Instead, they look to be hooking him up with Pregnant Girl. Although, I'm guessing that he's also The Convict...
  17. Been a while since we've talked about this but I don't mind any new opinions on it...
  18. To be fair, he DOES look like Bart "Mr Personality" Gunn... Hey, play a Hobbit, get stereotyped.
  19. If you keep saying something, eventually it becomes the "truth". I don't think that his claim is total bullshit - it's entirely possible that he had an outline for a few movies, but definitely the truth has been mixed up with myth.
  20. It's all good so far. Except... this should be widescreen. It has that feel to it.
  21. Yeah, that was some sweet shit...
  22. Well, tell me how The Bachelor goes, then...
  23. The Human Torch "Tsunami" title...
  24. I think they pushed it back to October...
  25. I liked the NJO, but really it ran much too long. Star By Star was probably the best of the bunch - it kinda played out like an Alien Resurrection/Pitch Black type thriller (you know the kind), but they really could've done better by cutting down a bit. Totally forgot about Crispin. She did a great job with the Han Solo trilogy, even tying in the earlier novels into her "origin" story. Allston and Stackpole were pretty lucky in that their novels have generally allowed them to kill whoever if they needed to (although you'll notice that Janson, Hobbie and Tycho all make it through), but all the same, it would've meant buptkis if the stories sucked. Which they most definitely different. And I'd like to see Terry Brooks try his hand at something more than a paycheck book in the EU. I've no idea what he'd do, I'd just like to see it.
