    Problems with A drive...

Aight, aight! Lookie here... Whenever I try and save something on a disk, I get this message that says that the disk has to be formatted. This happens with every disk I try. Is this something that I can fix myself, or do I have to take it to the shop or something?

    Mind Games 96

I dunno if I'd say that. Mankind had crazy heat after the two wins over Taker. In fact, a lot of people (marks anyway) actually thought that Mankind would beat Shawn that night. I could easily see Mankind having a reign similar to Taker's from 91.

Will Orton drop the IC belt before WM?

Leave it on him. About time the belt was placed back into a semi-high profile position again.

    Mr.Perfect found dead

I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Perfect's death probably hit me the hardest out of all the other wrestling deaths from last year. It just so unexpected (for me anyway), plus add the fact that he was my favorite when I was little. Anyway, he's long gone now, so no need to get all morbid by ressurecting this a year later.

Should I use this as my sig pic

Probably sounds like nitpicking, but the only thing I really don't like is that small space in the lower left hand corner. I'm not sure how this would look, but maybe you can shift the center pic over to the left to cover that up. I dunno. Just a suggestion.

    WWF 97-98

Not quite. Kama was lower mid card at best and if he couldn't beat Taker clean in 95, he never was going to. WWF @ Lake Placid, NY - June 16, 1997 Raw is War: WWF IC Champion Owen Hart & WWF European Champion the British Bulldog defeated the New Blackjacks Chris Candido defeated Brian Christopher via disqualification Steve Austin defeated Brian Pillman via disqualification when Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, and Davey Boy Smith - who were all handcuffed to seperate ring posts - escaped and attacked Austin; after the bout, Mankind, Goldust, and Ken Shamrock made the save; Austin and Shamrock began brawling until the Legion of Doom seperated the two men and Goldust suggested all five men team up to face the Hart Foundation at Canadian Stampede (Best of Raw Vol. 6) The Headbangers defeated Jerry Lawler & Rob Van Dam Farooq & Kama (w/ D-Lo Brown) defeated WWF World Champion the Undertaker (w/ Paul Bearer) & Ahmed Johnson when Kama pinned the Undertaker after Ahmed turned on his partner and hit the Pearl River Plunge before joining the Nation I have to call you on that one. From what I remember, Taker didn't tag out the whole match...and gets pinned by Kama after a modified RB...after the match is over, The Nation leave the ring and end up on the top of the ramp...Ahmed gets in the ring and stands over Taker...Taker tries to pull himself up, but Ahmed give him a Pearl River Plunge...Ahmed walks to the top of the ramp, joins The Nation and does the salute. 100% sure the turn came AFTER the pin. J I'll back him on this. I'm sure that PRP was after the match. As for why Kama was allowed to pin him...I always figured that it was due to the history between the two from the 95 feud. It also supported Faarooq's claims of having a bigger and stronger Nation than ever.

Should I use this as my sig pic

I'd like it a little better if there was more blending between the pics in the background (they just seem to be slapped on there) but besides that, it's not bad.

What the hell is a PBP?

Damn. I figured a PBP was some new kinda STD I needed to look out for.

    WWF syndies

I'm not sure if this was the same thing across the board, but I remember for this show, there was some kind of technical error where there was no speaking whatsoever...just background music and video for the whole hour. Even on the WMXIV hype packages, the voice overs just didn't work. At the time, I remember going crazy because I managed to tape the the DX theme and the Wrestlemania theme uninterrupted by commentary or anything. Still, that was a pretty odd show.

    Problems with A drive...

I've done this a few times and it keeps saying that the disk can't be formatted. And it happens with literally every disk I try, and they'll all work just fine on my laptop.

Shane Douglas shaking Gary Wolfe by his surgical halo in 96. Vader destroying Gorilla Monsoon.

    WWF syndies

I'm guessing they did it because in a lot of areas, people didn't have access to all of the shows. For example, here in Philly in 97, we didn't get Shotgun Saturday Night when it first started, but a few months later, they changed our WWF Challenge show into Shotgun Challenge, so we could see the matches. Also, I don't think we got Jakked up until 2001 when ECW and WCW closed.

    Favorite heel acts

During the last Dudley heel run... Bubba: D-VON... *crowd pops in anticipation* Bubba: (whispers to D-Von) get the tables. *crowd boos* The nWo beatdown at Disney MGM studios, namely Rey getting tossed into the trailer and Scotty Riggs getting laid out by Hall. Jericho breaking Chyna's hand with a hammer. Owen talking Helen Hart into throwing in the towel on Bret. Taker attacking Hogan in the Funeral Parlor. Probably more...

    OAO Velocidential Thread For Today

Gotta love Austin rocking that XFL jersey.

    Why are you home...

House arrest... Nah, actually, I just have no life... *sniffles* THANK YOU FOR RUINING MY GOOD MOOD, MOLE! *grabs Chyna's Playboy and runs off in tears*

    WWF Smackdown 3

The gameplay was a nice step up from SD2, but the weak "Story Mode" and the exclusion of Chyna (SHE WAS UNDER CONTRACT UNTIL NOVEMBER 30TH DAMN IT! THEY COULD'VE PUT HER IN!!!) killed the game for me. Also, I didn't like the fact that they took out the Create-A-PPV option and the ability to defend title belts in exhibition matches. Those were some of the things that made the first two Smackdown games so fun... they gave the game some replay value that you really don't have in the PS2 games.

    Feuds

Only thing about Rock/Jericho was that the Rumble finish didn't really settle anything. Rock never got his revenge on Jericho, and Chris was never able to prove that he wasn't a joke, because his last win was an even bigger fluke than the first. And neither of them really made an issue of it afterwards...they pretty much just forgot about one another. Again, there was no clear winner or loser.

    Feuds

One thing that's really annoyed me about the WWE over the last few years is their handling of feuds. Lots of times, they'll focus on the wrong issues, and there rarely seems to be a clear and decisive winner of the feud. In fact, with the exception of the Angle/Edge feud (which was based on hair and A DAMN T-SHIRT), I can't think of one other feud since 99 that actually had a clear winner. Can you? Also, which do you think was the last well-executed feud that the WWE/F has done in the last 5 years?

    Assuming its Angle/Eddie

I was with you right up until here. I *HATE* that excuse for turning people.
  22. Papacita

    Assuming its Angle/Eddie

That would be good. Now find a way to tie in the month of january between these two in to that storyline. Six words... "I did it for The Rock!" Best feud ever!
  23. Papacita

    Assuming its Angle/Eddie

Yeah, the time was what fucked up Eddie/Chavo. I think SK said it best when he said that it seemed like the first few minutes of a great 20 minute match. As Eddie/Angle...hopefully, Eddie will go over, because I'd hate to see him have a bullshit one month reign. I can see both he and Angle going into the match as faces, Eddie going over, and Kurt snapping and turning on him afterwards.
  24. Papacita

    Feuds

I dunno if I'd call Angle/Cena a real feud. You got the sense that they didn't like one another (which is pretty much universal in all WWE programs), but really, it only came down to one match, and after No Mercy (although they continued to play up animosity between the two into Survivor Series) it was pretty much the end of the issue. It seemed like more of a side thing between the Brock/Angle feud rather than an actual feud in itself.
