Yeesh, with each post I continue to butcher the English language. Go me.

TO's doing the single dad deal and has a son if I'm not mistaken. He was on MTV's Cribs and they showed the kid's room (along with TO's big ass indoor b-ball court).

Karma's going to get TO at some point. He just manages to dig his grave deeper. He's still a hell of an athlete.

I'm still a sweaty and (less) hairy Raider Fan. Lumbering I like.

It's the newest fad to be sweeping TSM.

One book I think is worth another look is Batman: The Killing Joke. It really is one of the best stories ever dealing with the Joker as it shows us the man's crooked soul and what eats at it's core.

Please don't indirectly insult everyone who's posted so far. I don't take offense, but saying something like that could really piss someone off. I know. It was just a great conclusion. I love you guys.

If Marvel would have pulled out Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, and Captain America then they would have probably had a better line-up for the overall dark vibe the story had going for it. I thought the Carnage Family line-up was okay since it gave a new twist to some otherwise lame characters. This story should have been made a bigger deal in the Marvel Universe after it had ended because this would have been like one of the bloodiest city slaughters since Inferno. Other Marvel books should have made mention of it after the ordeal ended and homage should have been paid to the masses who lost loved ones. The body count looked like it was just off the scale.

Crisis and Zero are two reasons why continuity is needed in comics because otherwise the masses will remain ignorant to the stupid and lazy writing chnages made by dick bag eating hacks.

Go out and buy all of the Marvel Masterworks books that reprint the old Lee and Ditko stories in color. Marvel Tales is also a good source on old Spidey books from the 1st series (the book is out of print but they can be found in just about any 99 cents box).

Bryan Singer leaves X-Men to direct Superman
Sass replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Singer's going to bust his ass to revive a "dead" movie franchise. He knows this can draw huge bucks since practically everyone knows Superman and would pay to see a good movie with him and Lex Luthor playing mind games with eachother. -
Brock could become one of the gnarliest O-line guys in the league. He is a psychotic athlete who will do everything he can to become the best at whatever he does. He will probably study film like mad every day and train like a man with everything to lose. He'll have a reckless abandonment for everyone around him and he'll probably never marry because of it. This guy could become the next real deal (excuse the pun).

Wow. Folks in the Knicks organization need to put down the bong. They're morons and now they probably lost the guy who could have put them over the top with most of the Eastern conference. The Lakers are so making a play for him now since they have guys to trade and cash to spend. Kupchak isn't a fool to take scrubs from Boston unless he thinks these guys will have fires lit underneath their ass's (they won't fuck up or improve the Lakers in any way though is how I see it right now). Jeebus Zeke.

Keep Sammy. This might just be a bad year for him and by next season he might be ready to play ball again. He's also the team's cash cow too. The corked bat debacle was terrible but he needs to move on if he's still bugged about it. If things get tight with money then ask him if he'll restructure his contract and take a probable paycut since that's the least they can do for him in that type of situation after all the years he's played on the team. Sammy's good people (even if he is a roid busting cromag head doofus).

The Chiefs are pussies. Fellow Raider fans have known this for years. Lesnar just showed it off to everyone.

You were one of the few bright spots for me on the field to watch during the 90's Tim. TB was always cool whenever I had the pleasure of talking with him after games and it will be odd not seeing him play with the Raiders. On that note, I hope you retire or are forced into it by the end of this summer. Seeing TB play with someone else would be the equivalent of seeing Emmit Smith with the Cardinals (funny too how their situations mirror one another as well). "Just win baby!"

Tim Brown will always be a cornerstone for the Raiders during the 90's and will never be forgotten by the Black Hole Nation. The last couple of seasons he has regressed a *lot* and was dropping balls left and right last season and had trouble running the routes he was given (that he didn't have trouble with in the past). He should have stepped down if he cared about the team as much as he has professed because it's clear as crystal that TB doesn't have the tools any more that it takes to be an effective starter. I'm going to miss Brown but I hope he takes the hint and retires while his legacy is left intact (unlike some other fading legend player in Arizona).

In my summation, Batman has the best rogue's gallery that compliments the opposing hero. Lex Luthor though is the best individual villain who compliments a hero with polar opposite backgrouds from the hero. Spider-Man has the next best rogue's gallery that compliments a hero because all of the animal/insect/etc. like names and characteristics that his villains have demonstrate the zoo like world where Peter Parker/Spider-Man exists in. A case really could be made for any "major" hero's rogue gallery but the two above get mentioned because the villains work on so many creative levels with their respective opposing hero.

It was an attempt to "darken" Spider-Man and this was a total slap in the face to fans. It looked like nothing more than another massive Marvel x-over in the Spidey books and the backlash over the ending with Carnage also played a role in the (at the time) fan backlash the story got.

I haven't seen Corey around much so I was joking around with him. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to a Dids-TSM-free-month party. Someone will have to buy party hats.
