  1. Nah, hold the show inside the hull of a SuperTanker in dry dock. That'd be ratings.
  2. I can only echo Grappler's sentiment.
  3. How much of the coursework have you done man? Most of it can be done in a night... if you really try. Computing isn't that bad. The 115 page coursework that's considered small is bad.
  4. Maths is a bitch. I have 4 exams coming up as I'm resitting 3 to try and get the B i need for get into Uni (Doing Stats, Mechnics, Pure 2 and 3) Pure 2 being the spawn of satan in a bad way.
  5. Set up like a Steiner Recliner Camel Clutch, then then lean forwards. So the attacker is kneeling on all forwards, their legs over the opps arms. The opp is doubled over on their neck, shouldered pinned to the mat. It's in Smackdown games somewhere.
  6. Comments: Really nice opening promo, with Danny taking a very true and differenty way of promoing. Unlike me and maybe a few other people. I'm not surprised he's bringing in "The Man" storyline, or setting up both Toxxic and Kibs as good chellengers for the title. Just the sort of thing we need from a champ. Opening match starts off face, as the Baseball Slide Dropkick durring the cross kissing is a nice heel spot. The ever used duck lariat transistion, tad thin on desc, but fast paced and flowing. Maybe feels a little thin on commetry over all. Like most opening stuff, it's back and forth without much selling, and a lot of missed moves for transistions. The moving from spot to spot is at least fluid, if not good. Still, at leas the DDT reversal looks good rather than just being used for a rest. I'm not personally keen on not showing every pinfall and the ending of the match... because picking things out just adds that extra touch, to me anyway. My match... it's my usual current work. Someone else needs to comment on that really. Nice little quips to start off the next match, keeps things going. It's all Sly's usual soild, good stuff. I do like the touch of the heel faking off the match and trying to leave, works to build Sly's character. And that leads straight to a bait and switch (havent seen good one of them in a while). Sly's pulling out some nice ideas here, like IL being able to get a spin kick, but is still selling the chair shots and so get's clotheslined down as soon as Austin is back up. It's a more measured transistion that just spin kick and stalling. It breaks down into more spots towards the end but the rolling DDTs to parralell the chair shots from the start. The action and desc is still soild as ever, and Sly is using new ideas and improving his basic work, which is a good thing. The Book of Clark... well, we all knew it would happen sooner or later. Clark and Jacbo works just like Sly/Luchador, fast crusier work with good writing. Little more in the terms of selling from the bumps. Feels frantic and fast from all the quick covers early on. Mostly spot to spot moving, but the writing keeps it interesting. Lots of clothesline transistions, but at least it keeps a theme and keeps both men moving for the quick spots and falls. Definatly a crusierweight match and a fun, fast read. Maddix coming out at the end is a nice build to the USJL title match coming up. Ahh, Hardcore goodness now. A little flash of history to remind everyone about the backstory to the title. MVS just ends up being a focal point for Aecas' anger, as well he should be. The usual little man having to run rings around the big man to stay alive spots and reversals broken out. Stripping Aecas' boots off when the floor is covered with glass is really heel, a nice little touch to the hardcore action. And works to keep the action turn from side to side. Some of the commentry is pretty fickle, but very funny and goes along well with the action. Janus spoils everyone's fun to raise the fued even more, and Mike just gets fancy to take the win. Mmm build up. Mike runs his ego and demands a tag title shot with W&D no longer being around. And Johnny comes out to get some revenge for for Wildchild and beats the hell out of Mike. Now we're ready for the USJL title match. History is abound in this one as well, with the House of Todd battling the Way Ward Sonds and Coy taking Todd out of action. Maddix tries to use his speed advantage, but brawling with it gets him cut off, playing up the character differences from the start. And we have the now character personal spot of Landon rolling to the outside to see Megan, so he once again brings the game plan of recovery time and breaking his oppoents flow. Playing off Coy/Todd at the PPV with the side headlock early on as well. And that moves straight into using side headlocks to set up the attack of Landon's legs and some very nice, (UK centric), imagry for it too. A little heel play to a low blow spot, so Maddix has the down time to sell the leg work before trying to move to offense. Maddix is maybe hitting the ropes too soon/fast, but it the knee work hasnt been that over played yet. Maddix switches gears to try and get the submission, which leads straight into more play off, as Coy slaps on the STF. Unfortuntly, it goes to a big wrestling logic gap "If you have someone in a hold and their tapping, but the ref is distracted, why the hell don't you keep the hold on till something breaks?" Still, it links with Maddix's usual heelsih back up to again the advantage, so at least it fits. Not that keen on the flashy ending the goes against the knee work, but hey. Hmmm, overbooked submissions match....It's a Flesher mathc, so we have all the usual descritive and commentry goodness along with the jokes. Duran comes out beating the hell out of Tom, so he still looks strong as past matches have had him do so. And Tom show's he's on the defensive road, having to out wrestle Duran on the mat and bring his skill to bear. The starting rush is the two styles smashing against each other and trying to win over. Basiclly back of forth stuff with all the meaning there can really be crammed in there. Shifting the heat focus from the crowd to Comet and Riley works around the Heel/Heel situation very well. It's a good story of Flesher out wrestling Duran where he can, but getting out powered in other places, and the two differen styles taking lead at different points. It's what most back and forth stuff tries to do, but doesnt manage a lot of the time. It's nice to see Tom putting over stuff about the up coming matches between me and him without breaking flow. Duran goes for a knee scrape combo but it costs him, and Tom goes on to out move him for the advantage. Duran makes come back on strenght alone, but Flesher is picking a body part, so it gives him an edge. In the end, Flesher's skill and history of powerbomb counters pay off. Showing that Duran had all the power, but he didnt focus it and lost. Usual great stuff. Little hype promo just to get the main even ball rolling along. Openning stuff to dig up the past between Kibs and Toxx, get the ball rolling even faster. Big evil heel opening attack from Toxxic, trying to keep ahead of Kibs and deal all the damage he can quick. And Then Toxxic just shows off, going with the character and just pissing off the grumpy Kibagami. Much like Flesher/Duran, Toxxic can feet with his bigger skill (Speed) but Kibs can just out work him and bring him down with his power. Kibs is just being a classic dick and beating the hell out of Toxxic's arm to start with. It's only lucky speed counters that keep Toxxic alive in the match so far, showing the huge gap between them in styles and power. Kibs continues to work the arm, being the pressure on, and Toxxic goes back to speed reversals again to stay in the game, keeping the flow going. Toxxic goes on a run of speed actions, now knowing one at a time wont be enough, again playing off earlier action, but it's still not enough to match the Man in Kibagami. So in the end, Toxxic has to go back to the rapid surprise roll ups as he just cant take it to Kibs in a fight as the whole match has shown. A huge wave of strikes from the grummy vet almost kill Toxxic, but Kibs is out of focus as so gets caught with a desperate counter. The SSLD should have been all, but Kibs makes like Toxxic and rolls out of the ring to recover from it. Again the fast roll up ALMOST works for the young Toxxic, but almost isnt good enough. He tries for his last ditch, wounded lion finisher, but he can't bring it to the table to even have a hope. In the end, Toxxic's flying struggles are all he has to fight Kibagami, but they lead him straight into his head. Demonstar, it's over. Big rapid fight of an ME to cap the show off with some awesome action. Great work people, keep it coming. Oh, and is any of this lot actually any help to people?
  7. That doesn't happen much these days.
  8. Ahh goody, time to spill even more blood. And the main event is going to be a battle.
  9. My usual stuff will be up in about 10 hours when I'm back from school and it's been written up. But congrats to all the winners right now.
  10. M-Dogg 20's Merrygo Round is basicly that around the ring post isnt it?
  11. I know what you're on about, seen that done before in some mat rolling stuff. The classic Wolfplex: Bridging Muscle Buster Suplex. Pumphandle Cradle Piledriver: Standing headscissors, hold one arm to the opps chest and each between their legs, grabbing the wrist. Wrap your free arm around their waist. Lift up and Piledrive. Pumplhandle Cradle Singer Underhook Piledriver: As above, but your free arm underhooks one of their arms. Cobra Clutch / Half Nelson Suplex: Corbra Clutch the opp with ONE arm (So the arm you use to hook their arm also reaches around their neck and grabs their wrist) With your free arm, Half Nelson their other arm (which is also free), Snap backwards.
  12. Unless Dean used something different in the 80's, I'm pretty damn sure I'm right on 2.
  13. 2) Tiger Driver Whip/Release Tiger Driver/Reelase Double Underhook Powerbomb
  14. Well, Steiner did a Standing Moonsault version of that. A top rope version and a top of cage version has been done. A Quebrada version would probably kill the opp. As Steiner broke Sid's ribs and punchered his lungs doing it (Yes he did it to Sid.. yes it owned) Catching someone from a Cross Body and doing it in motion... that would be flash.
  15. A flip flop spot-a-thon: A and B go for Dropkicks at the same time, both miss in mid air. Double Kip up, A and B go for clothlelines, their arms get hooked at the elbow. A swings around in a Crucifix, across B's shoulders. A takes B down but B rolls though, leaving A on the mat. B goes for a standing somersault senton, A rolls out of the way, kips up and goes straight to a standing moonsault. B rolls out of the way. B rolls back over, sitting across A's back. B goes for a Camel Clutch but A rolls to their side, pinning B under them. B back rolls so they are know kneeling over A, with A's leg doubled over their head. A locks their legs around B's head and rolls forwarsd with a headscissors, sending B into the turnbuckle. A goes to backdrop B out of the corner, B kicks off the ropes and lands behind A. B grabs A in a waistlock, A tries to run to the trunbuckles, but B holds on and backrolls with A. B comes back up, still holding A in the rear waistlock. B German's A into a bridge.
  16. Brainbuster DDT = Sheer Drop DDT. Fishermans DDT is a Fishermans Buster and so not a DDT. And Style's Springboard Moonsault Inverted DDT is so bad. You can hit it in one smooth motion, makes it look so much better.
  17. Ejiro, there's something that keeps striking me as really differnet about the way Danny writes himself as a wrestler now. I think it sticks out that he wants to take the move and fighting kayfabe of the fed in a different direction to what most people know or use. But Danny isn't lacking on having his ass handed to him in matched, but with the strong characters people use, the balance between the beat down, possiblity of a loss and the comeback seems to be really off. Williams as a character is definatly seeming very strong.. you could it's because he's removing most of the grappling part form his character, but is it a fair balance? I'm guilty of having a legitimatly whorish character, Dace is really strong, really tough, really technical and well versed in pretty much everything but high flying. As for the Headlock spot, I'd have to argue perversion of symbolism. Different things mean different things in different places if they are made to and have a soild history and build to it. This is however, just an idea I used to explain how different moves and ideas are treated differently in various fed and styles around the world.

  19. I'm gonna spin this topic this time around and list my favourate E-Fed double teams. Soul/Mind Crusher (Slingshot to Gore/Yakuza Kick) Swinging Neckbreaker w/ Dragon Screw Figure 7 (Figure Four + Triangle Choke) Decapitator (Sitout Inverted Powerbomb w/ Ax Kick) Double Slingshot Suplex
  20. Chris, if you want to be the master of the DDT, there's a LOT of versions to master. You could probably do a whole moveset around it.
  21. Stryke vs. Todd Cortez Cortez to take a singles win. Tables Match (Crow, Dace and Spike) This is gonna be fun. Cruiser Contenders, Part One: Insane Luchardore vs. Austin Sly Sly, he's young and he's up and coming. Cruiser Contenders, Part Two: Jacob Helmsley vs. Alan Clark Clark, and it should be good. Hardcore Title: MVS vs. Aecas Aecas... pride reason of course. USJL belt: Maddix vs. West I gotta give this to Maddix, just he's another big up and comer. Submissive Cage Of Redemption (sounds like a bad porn name) Tom will probably take it, but Duran wont be lacking anything in effort. #1 Contendah~! Match: Kibs vs. Toxxic Toxxic because he's overpushed by some higher power.
  22. It was just an experiment. I think I was more reviewing a match than commenting on it when I did that and my ratings are more subjective than I'd like. Still, wont stop the rest of the comments.
  23. And here come my comments: Smart in jokes in the Wild and Dangerous promo, we seem to be using them a lot these days. Setting up stuff between WC and MVS. Build up promo to set various wheels in motion, all good. Mike carries that promo on with his heelish bitching and knocking out Gus. Random heel stuff, it gets heat. Good. Feel the confidence for Spike vs Tryst... more smart in jokes as well, nice to see. Spike is still Spike, but the action's far from horrible and it reads well at least. Simple, pretty much squash but at least Spike makes pysch 101. Johnny does what we all do with his fed and has fit women hit on him (And hey, I blatently compenstated with that before). And then just runs his ego at the mention of a title shot... and plays it up well. And we have the old locked in a room with a forklift... classic madness. Flesher starts off with his classic indy spot that leads to a little surprise and the real story of the match... I do so love that formula. Fancy mat work which is another great read. And there's even more injokes to keep things funny. Great cocky top guy heel work from Tom, just makes him that much more hated. Explosive come back from Crow, usual underdog face with a quick soild transistion. And the transistion back plays off the same manner, with time going against Crow. Stomach work... rare up cool, no shock is follows from earlier moves. And Crow gets crushed after the moonsault fails. Flesher continues to make himself look like the man without burrying anyone else. Ahhh the set up promo.. the wheels are in motion people. Mwahahah. Feel all the tension between Aecas and Janus.. and the lovely Aecas taking on two men at once... for a while anyway. Really nicely worked with all that's going on between Aecas and Janus, while Aecs tries to fight mat and the Wayward Sons just make the most of it with smooth tag combo goodness. And then Janus just screws everyone over... the plot thinkings. And great work making the tag champs not really look weak and the screw ending having a real reason. A random ex JLer to take on Wildchild? Still, he gets to show off his spots. Little squash match. But the real reason is form MVS to kill WC and take him out of action... hmmm beatdown. Mike carries on his dick act, trying to bitch out Liston for the Hardcore title. Brawlness with both guys just leveling each other really. Textbook back and forth stuff, Mike channelling and mocking Wildchil was great heel stuff though. And a pissed off beat down caps it all of nicely and plays Mike's character up. The Eel makes a random apperence....only to get plasteed by Toxxic. This is a beatdown show, big time. You can almost feel Toxxic's ego from here in the promo. Which means it's good. And Toxxic puts himself up as a roadblock...and seems driven to be a bigger heel than anyone around. And it all works around his inferiority complex. The Office battle is just a clusterfuck..and as with all of them these days, well written and fun. Gotta love the paper cut spot, and just the big spot trade offs that go round in fun. Maybe over kill on the Superkicks, but hey it keeps things going. Nice big bumps as well, where they're needed. I thought I was gonna see a staple gun shot but no luck. Still, Maddix shows again he's a great upcoming talent. Ahh, now something interesting in a very different way. We see Kibs being Kibs.. and break out a 1000 word headlock. The River Dragon does all the controlling and looks strong and like the older lion.. all the way to the sudden momentum shift Todd gets a young lion run and comes close to winning, but then it all falls apart. Young vs Grumpy Old...nasty. And the main event: Really tense and built opening... but what else would you expect. And the pendulm is swinging already, with the hard knee shot beeing paced out and turned into a jumping forearm. The same rapid elbow spots, and the boune of the barrier/neckbreaker drop combo, which gets reversed this time. Building on the foundations... of course. And we have the favourate DDT onto the floor. Again Duran gets made to look like a complete monster. And that leg drop comes into play again, from Duran/Grappler... are we smart or are we smart people? Duran showing off Uber heel stuff, pulling Williams up from a cover. The vain fight backs that are almost for nothing.. feel the heat. Breaking the Mutoh scale is just there to really hype up the drama. And playing of their match again, Danny almost wins with a cradle.. but no luck. Big swing on the BFT counter and the cover... building up the final eve more. But in the end, elbows rule all. Great main event, and Duran looked like a monster all the way though. Good work people... we own!
  24. Rock pinned Jericho with a DDT back when Jericho was champ.

Opeth playing at Download....oh god here comes the wave of wannabe fan boys. And still Bloodstock is the only thing worth paying money to see. Even with the random good metal bands at Download.
