When Detroit won the cup in 97, 98, they had a solid defence, and didn't really have to rely on goaltending to carry them to the cup. Detroit had no defence through the entire playoffs, and if the defence played very well, CuJo would not be starting at all through the playoffs.

just some news and notes for Game 6 between Phili and T.O. Ken Klee will out indefinitly with a "lower body" injury. It is probably the same injury early this season. Robert Esche most likely to start in game 6, having flu like symptoms that saw Sean Burke in net, Phili will bring 3 goalies to Toronto just in case if Esche is feeling better. Malakhov is questionable with dizziness from a hit in game five. If he does not play, Kappinen will play defence.

I have yet to see it so I have no opinion on it yet. Its ashame that it happened to my farm team though

Well, the season is over, and I gotta give credit to Tampa Bay,they deserve to win the series. I wished that Montreal could have win atleast tonights game, so it wasn't a sweep. All I can say is that the team played exceeded expectations, and showed that they can be a very dominate and physical team, and we don't have to rely on Theodore as much. An improvement on defence would really help, and if Kovalev stays, well we would be back there next year (If...)
