I hated this movie.

I picked up Battle Royale at Waldenbooks yesterday, and the introduction (called a 'rant') is about the wrestling match type of Battle Royale, mentioning Road Warriors, and I think Misawa and Kobashi among others. Besides being about 'battle royales', does anybody know what it has to do with the rest of the book or why it was included?
