ICP fans give their baby a Jullago funeral.
Ravenbomb replied to Youth N Asia's topic in No Holds Barred
Carnival may be the only (or at least very few) fans of this group who's a relatively normal guy. Shit like this makes me feel kinda bad for him, though he has gone on the record saying he hates Juggalos. I dunno about the "relatively normal guy" part but I'm a fan and I'm not like THAT. -
Which means Britney Spears' sister is going to be a grandma in about fifteen years.

Yeah, just look around the internet in things that pertain to what you like. Like lately I've been into indie covers of pop songs, so I've been looking through those, which is how I heard of Travis, The Automatic, Hard-Fi, et cetera. Or since I like The New Pornographers I looked into the various members of the band and got into Neko Case, A.C. Newman, Destroyer, Immaculate Machine, and The Heartbreak Scene. And even if you're opposed to illegal downloading there are places like Stereogum and the like where you can legally download this stuff for free or at least listen to samples to see if you like it.

Once Despite my dislike of musicals, this is a great fucking movie. Good performances from two non-actors, a romantic pairing that's not a romantic pairing, and very probably the best musical number in any movie I've seen. I saw the movie before everybody was raving about "Falling Slowly" so I hadn't heard about how great it was, which made the scene just powerful stuff. And it's the best song of the movie, but the rest of the music isn't a bunch of filler around the one big number. Marketa's solo number is good, the song by Interference is a nice folksy number, and "Broken Hearted Hoover Fixer Sucker Guy" is a damn fun song for something that was put together in like thirty seconds. It was barely edged out for my pick for best movie of 2007, but it's hands down my favorite musical and it's definately something I'd want on my island.

Hooray for Ms. Chif. I miss her and Delirious being paired up.

Taco Bell would have to run out of every single ingredient to improve their tacos.

No, I'd give that title to his role in Matchstick Men.

Rebekah Del Rio's performance of "Llorando" is probably my favorite song as far as vocals ever. I'm picking her CD in the Album Draft just for that song.

Nothing "lesser" about that. Greatest single moment of the entire three hours of Grindhouse. What? No, I wasn't knocking that film. I was trying to say, that might have been the only single time I can think of where someone made a modern do-over of a legendary cinema classic, and afterwards even the snootiest of critics were all like "...okay, that was pretty fucking cool". Ah. Your use of the word "rape" gave me the wrong impression. And I use "lesser" in a length context. He was on screen for five to ten seconds, hardly a great role.

I distinctly remember watching the series, but I don't remember the specifics. -
Yeah, it was close between that and the MSG one for which I'd pick, but in the end I went with the one with sentimental value. I'd probably rank that one ahead if we were talking just the in-ring work.

I think Unbreakable would've had a fantastic ending if not for the title cards. I don't know who's bright idea it was to puss out and put those in, but they screwed up the otherwise great ending.

The few times I actually LIKE Nick Cage is when he's teamed up with a director I really like. Bringing Out the Dead with Scorsese, Matchstick Men with Ridley Scott, Adaptation with Spike Jonze, et cetera. And, to a lesser extent, as Fu Manchu. So since Werner Herzog is an insane and great director who can take gunshot wounds to the stomach and brush them off as insignificant wounds, and made a GOOD remake of Nosferatu (I don't care what Jingus says, it was damn good), I'm pretty confident he'll be able to beat a good performance out of Nicolas Cage and drag the movie from shit to pretty decent.

I just noticed, especially in CandyCoatedWhatever's signature, if Heath's hair were red, and a bit frizzier, he'd look like Willy Wonka with a messed up face. A little.

I just saw Strange Wilderness. Awful. The stuff with the wilderness clips was good, the movie should've had more of that.

Damnit. That was going to be my next TNA match.

Well now you only have two to choose from. Makes it that much easier.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail I'm shocked- SHOCKED- that this one is still available. My list was in desperate need of comedy, and this is the funniest movie of all time.

Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid - Junior Heavyweight Title Madison Square Garden, 8/30/1982 Not sure if it's their best match, but it was the first match of each wrestler that I saw, and the first Japanese wrestling I saw other than the death match stuff, so it's a personal favorite. And even if it's not their best match, it's still a really damn good one.

I like "Animal Crackers" best out of the Marx Brothers stuff.

oh, I missed my turn. Well, I guess I'll do that now, then. "Challengers" by The New Pornographers The New Pornographers are probably my favorite band around right now, and I think this is their best album yet. If not best, then a close second to Mass Romantic. But I'm going to say it's the best, because I'm picking this one and it'd be stupid to say "there's this other album that's better" in my "why I picked this album" blurb. Hope you guys don't mind, but I'm going to skip PMing Orange Goblin this round.

Excellent pick if you're wanting a women's match. Although I'm kinda viewing all these drafts as being for the same island, so I'm fine with my picks from the Hot Bitches draft.

Austin Aries, Roderick Strong & Jack Evans vs. CIMA, Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino Dragon Gate Challenge One of the best ROH matches from the 04-06 era, which is saying a lot.

I saw the subtitled version, so the dub isn't to blame for me thinking it's garbage.

'95 and '99 were worse, but '06 was up there. But even a bad Royal Rumble match is still pretty good.
