No doubt: Thugg. I think I beat him once, in a tag match, with like four other people. It got to be so bad it was a mental block. I had a hard time writing matches against him because I knew I was going to lose.

Now Tom... that hurts man. I may have been a title holder over 5 years ago, but I still won the titles. Now, if we could just get rid of the "time held" section of the World Title list...
-
The stables titles were, in fact, legitimate. If they weren't we wouldn;t have spent so much damned time defending them. It is not the Midnight Carnival's fault nobody else could measure up to us. Therefore, I have to say my total is just a tad higher... 2 World 2 ICTV 3 Tag Titles 1 Stables Oh yeah... and Clusterf*ck. That too.

Man, there's a part of me that wants to accept this... but there is a bigger part of me that knows I'd get my ass kicked and that I am bettr off retired.

The 7.9's are in the league. We're set and ready to go. Just remember to test the live draft on your computer to make sure it will be able to go on Thursday night. Also, remember that if you can't make it, set up your draft order so the computer can draft for you.
-
What is your team named? Also, we need another team before we can do our draft. It needs to be an even number and we are at 11. Any volunteers?
-
Well this kinda sucks. This is just silliness. How long have they been working on Civil War? Good grief, you'd think Marvel would have better management than that. However, as this seems to be a recurring issue with comics these days, I guess I'm not surprised. Irritated, yes....
-
Ok, since there have been no objections, I am setting the draft for Thursday, 8-24 at 7:15 PM. It will be a live draft using the Yahoo engine. Just look it up on the site, which I will be updating momentarily.
-
I love how they put Angel in a uniform like he's even halfway important in the movie.
-
Ah yes, but 'tis also Summer Slam and you faithful Commish has plans.
-
Well, right now I am looking at doing a live draft, through the Yahoo system, sometime between 8-22 & 8-24. Input?
-
I don't know for sure. I haven;t been in chat for... well, years, but I am unsure as to how well the Yahoo live draft option would work for anyone.
-
That depends... will that make it easier or harder to do the draft? I could make a case for both.

Made some changes to the scoring, integrating some of Thuggs stuff with some ideas I had myself, including a bonus 5 points for a guy having a monster day (350 yards passing, 175 yards rushing, 200 yards receiving and 150 return yards). Blocked kicks and safeties are worth 5 points as it stands now, almost as much as a TD. Thoughts anyone? I'm looking at a time to schedule a draft. I'd love any feedback / suggestions anyone has on the scoring or the draft time.
-
I haven't set a date for the draft yet. I figured there is plenty of time, and I would wait and see who was in before coming up with a time that i could run the darn thing. Right now it is set as an offline draft. I'll figure out a date and let everyone know.

About the whole "Man of Steel / Woman of Tissue Paper" thing: Just remember, when Supes and Lois did the horizonatal mambo, he was de-powered by the crystal closet in the Fortress of Solitude. Thus, none of the "blowing off her head" stuff applies.

I was actually a little disappointed in the movie, but I think it was my own fault for listening to the hype. I was under the impression that it was a movie about the Murrow / McCarthy stuff, when really it was a movie about how television used to do important things but has become a medium for pure entertainment. It is a story about, at least in the writer's mind, the last imporant thing television ever did.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread
Kaertos replied to Black Lushus's topic in Television & Film
It was released in digital theaters and it was just amazing. I don't think it was ever released in IMAX though... -
I went to both proms, both with my girlfriend and both were great. What can I say, we had a great dinner (on our own, this was before schools ponied up for eats) went to the prom, danced, got our picture taken, hung out with our friends... nothing to complain about. I couldn't go to my 5 year reunion because I flying back from my honeymoon (with the girl I went to both proms with, btw) that day. I did go to my ten year reuinion, and it was very cool seeing people again after all that time. I don't think we're having a 15 year reuinion this year though, which kinda sucks.

Arrrggghhhh!!! Crap like this makes me scream. Jesus, Mary and Joseph on a raft, for all of the great things they have done with Spidey in the last few years, the continued belief that there are more stories to tell about a single Peter Parker than a married one shows two things: - These guys obviously view marriage as a trap and boring, believing that an interesting life stops when you get married. - They obviously forgot that there are around 25 years or Spidey stories out there when he was single. What else is there to tell? Stuff like this makes me want to slap people.

Clerks 2 - The release date is almost here...
Kaertos replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
I actually think Jersey Girl is his most complete film. The peformanxes are there, the writing was good and it looked better than any of the previous Smith flicks. It bombed becuase half of his audience are, frankly, the kind of people who think Jay is the funniest human on the planet; people, for whatever reason, hate Ben Affleck; and becuase of the whole "Bennifer" thing. -
All right, all right. Checked and done. No need to yell...

Getting married in less than 12 hours...
Kaertos replied to Longdogger_Pete's topic in Community/General
In all seriousness, congratulations Pete. As one of the few on here who is still married (10 years in June), let me tell you that it is the best thing that ever happened to me. I hope you find all the happiness that you hope for and this is the one and only time you walk down the aisle. Cheers! -
Well, I do prefer the SE version. I just kinda miss the "nub-nub" song.
-
You know, about the only thing I really wanted back was the "nub nub" song at the end of Jedi. Not that I dislike the SE version, I really really do, but I grew up with the "nub-nub" song.
