Why exactly was tonight's Miami loss Brock Berlin's fault again? I mean, I know it's fashionable to blame everything on him but he had a good game while the D and running backs stiffed it up.
-
Well, I imagine the Corda-Slim ads have more factual basis than a moveon.org piece. -=Mike ...PA is going for Kerry. I blame you for that... Shouldn't you be blaming everyone's favorite RINO?

He's a weird idea that came to mind: suppose Wisconsin and Michigan both run the table to finish out the season and split the Big 10 title. Now, assume that both move up in the polls a bit (say, Wisconsin to 4th, Michigan to 8th, or something like that), and that USC goes to the Orange bowl, and just for kicks Cal gets upset somewhere along the way to finish behind Michigan for sure. What's the possibility that the Rose Bowl invites Wisconsin AND Michigan?

The fact that Michigan and Wisconsin will not play this year is a great argument in favor of all conferences having a championship game. As far as the PAC 10 goes, at least if USC runs the table they will have beat all the decent teams.

Bush campaign "apprehensive"
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
My sig should make it pretty clear who I'm voting for. -
Someone needs to brush up on the concept of a metaphor. And when the cops have time to arrest people for having unpaid parking tickets and take them down to the station for processing, they have no business bitching about having to watch protests for violence. So that's two. It's funny how all you can do is throw insults and troll, whether it's in this folder or the sports one where you do nothing burt lurk until Damaramu posts something. You make Choken One's contributions seem insightful.

Actually, I think Moore is stealing the popcorn from Bush.

Kids Choice: Kerry for President
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to CBright7831's topic in Current Events
This seems a bit strange to me. What kid would vote for Herman Munster over Curious George? -

Tucker Carlson: John Stewart is "Selling Out"

I find it pretty strange how American Conservative runs an interview with Ralph Nader as a cover story, where the whole interview is basically Pat feeding Ralph questions to bash at Bush and explain why he's a viable alternative for traditional conservative voters, then they do a complete about-face and dismiss him as the candidate of the "populist left".

U.K. paper to Ohio voters: Listen to us!!!!!!
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to a topic in Current Events
I suspect that the angry reactions are just the ones that are borne from outsiders trying to interfere in an election. I still think one of the things that helped Howard in Australia was Kerry's sister's idiotic speech. People resent foreigners butting into their elections directly and publicly. -=Mike True, but the ones mentioning shit like Navy Seals and the CIA (as if they give a damn) are s =o far out there you can't help but laugh at them. -
Honestly, while I support Kerry, I'd rather see Bush win Florida by 10000 than have Kerry win it by 500. I bet there are already lawyers on both sides drafting complaints to contest the results in swing states.

That may be because he's been personally fingered as Deep Throat. I, honestly, still think Deep Throat doesn't exist and that Woodward used him as a device to make up for info he couldn't verify. -=Mike Do you think that one of these days John Dean will actually make good and name Deep Throat in his latest HAWT TELL-ALL BOOK~!?

Some of those letters are hilarious in their stupidity, on both sides. If these are the sorts of people voting in the election, should people really be worrying about Puffy's "Vote or Die" campaign bringing out the uninformed voters? Because it seems there's plenty of them already. -
Superman reportedly cast for movie
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Dr. Tom's topic in Television & Film
Tom Welling isn't even as good a Superman as Dean Cain, regardless of what the Smaville fanboys think. -
"Team America gets NC-17 Rating"

I must say that using Affleck and Damon jokes is a bit lame. Not because they arn't funny on principle, but because fatso has beat them into the ground, and then some. -
So who are the top contenders for the Heisman now that Purdue has lost? Bush and Peterson?

The ALCS: New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to The Dames's topic in Sports
This series is the biggest letdown since...well I'm sure it was something involving the WWE. -
I agree with that because I think he has a lot of common sense, but I think he is having too much fun doing what he's doing now to take a more serious turn towards any mainstream avenues. I'll actually go with a Bush line. A plan is more than a list of complaints. Stewart can feel free to criticize all day long. I have NO reason to believe that he'd be ANY different. -=Mike That doesn't mean that his criticizing the media for turning into political theater instead of real debate isn't right on point. Yes, but he's very much on the verge of taking himself too seriously and buying his positive press that he'll become more unbearable than O'Reilly. -=Mike I'd actually say he compares more to Howard Stern. Oh, and if anyone wants visual proof that Crossfire is entertainment and not news, just compare how Bob Novak acts on Crossfire compared to Capital Gang. On the later one he's a right-wing conservative who debates the issues and delivers his opinions intelligently, on the former he's a right-wing conservative who rants and rages against liberals and gets into shouting matches with his co-hosts and guests.

I'm currently watching Hot Shots Part Deux on FX and laughing about how great a parody it makes for today's political climate. Seriously this movie was great when it came out but it might be even better now. -
