I don't see why people here are so hostile towards the guy who got the ball. I mean, it's not his fault he's getting sued. Though I do hope when Bonds passes Ruth and then Aaron both HRs bounce back onto the field so he can have them and none of this crap gets repeated.

Doing a one-shot appearance at a WWE PPV is a lot different than starring in a full-length feature film.

Paying cash is a really bad idea because it will probably lead to a rash of kidnappings by mercenaries and thugs that have nothing to do with the war but are just looking for a quick payday like any slimeball in the States who kidnaps a 5 year old then holds her up for ransom.

But is it COSMIC bowling?

Since this got bumped for whatever reason, I must again point out one of my favorite links on Chomsky. See Noam Chomsky's anti-semetic politics exposed by UBC professor Werner Cohn: Partners in Hate: Chomsky and the Holocaust Deniers

The way the veins are popping out of his arms like that can be a telltale sign of steroid use. Not always, but sometimes. My veins look like that at the end of a good workout, and I'm sure as hell not on the juice. For anyone using Bonds' 73 HR season to justify believing he must have used roids (when almost all of his other seasons are in the high 30s - high 40s range): did Brady Anderson use steroids to hit 50 HRs when he was a 25 HR hitter?

Calling Triple H ignorant is one of the stupidest things I've read in a wrestling article in a long time. He may be selfish, he may be an asshole, he may have a big ego, but he is NOT ignorant. Triple H is always in control, always knows what's going on, and is always thinking, even if it is mostly about how to twist things to his advantage. That's pretty much the opposite of ignorant.

I don't find that so bad. The NHL did it, league-wide, for Gretzky.

I think Jordan needs to fire his advisors if this is true. Or at least stop talking to guys like Deion Sanders and Mario Lemieux... Michael Jordan should come back because he is the greatest basketball player of all time. he can still go out there and show the young high schoolers up. they don't have anything on the man. when jordan signs with the heat which will prolly be very soon they will be the favorites in the nba and the east to win it all. with the squad of mj and shaq they will be an unstoppable force. shaq will dominate inside and when he gets triple teamed he can kick it out to mj for the wide open dime. even though he is old he will still be able to hit that dime when shaq kicks it out to him. This was the best idea you had for a gimmick poster?

The new rumour floating around is that Jordan is interested in playing for the Heat with Shaq.

Massive explosion reported in North Korea
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
North Korea are claiming that it was a demolition of a mountain for a hydroelectric plant. They have also indicated they will allow British diplomats to inspect the site. -
Blair is like the teflon Prime Minister, mostly due to the fact that Britain doesn't really want to turf him because the alternatives (the conservatives, the lib. dems., etc.) arn't very appealing to Labour's electoral base. The only way he goes down is if a series of votes don't go his way, and they would have to be both domestic and international issues.

TIME cover seems familiar

Turn that picture sideways and you have the newest goatse ripoff pic. EDIT: took a couple of seconds and made this: -
Canadian Bacon, and in particular Moore's "Let's put the America back in North America!" line while dressed up as a Bills fan, was a lot more entertaining than anything involving Coulter. It was also more realistic than the scenarios depicted in both Coulter's books and Moore's documentaries.

I think it's legitimate to start asking at this point if Federer could go down as the best of all time when he's finished.

Am I supposed to be picking up an ESPN/NU double entrendre here? When I saw that name I immediately thought "is this the nu-metal version of ESPN?".

I would have more of a problem with Ichiro as the MVP this year than A-Rod last year, simply because this year there are actually some strong candidates on winning teams. Last year Rodriguez got it mainly because no one else presented a very strong case, and because there were some lingering feelings that he should have won the previous year.

It's amazing how much McCain-Feingold got things completely backwards with their exceptions. Assuming something along the lines of M/F is going to exist (I don't think it should, but let's leave that debate for elsewhere), wouldn't it have been more productive to the process to ban these attack ads and allow 527s to only produce ads endorsing a specific candidate without mentioning any of the others? Instead, we have a system where you can't say "vote for this guy because this is what he will do for our country" but you can release ads that say "don't vote for this guy because of stuff he did a few decades ago".

Tranlation: PWTorch.com is hoping that Paul Heyman somehow returns to a major role in the creative department but realize that is is probably not likely due to how he and Vince McMahon clash over creative direction.

Reagan and Gourbachev would have done exactly what they did in the 80s regardless of who won an olympic hockey game..

OK, so I'm moving down to Oregon in a couple of weeks, and I want high-speed internet. Apparently Qwest doesn't have DSL lines where I'm living, so unless someone can suggest another alternative, it looks like Comcast digital cable is my best bet. Now, living in Canada where we pay at most $40 Canadian for digital internet, these $50+ US pricetags for digital net are scaring the hell out of me. What I want to know is, if I get it installed and then throw a splitter on the cable line, will I be able to get any cable television off of that? I'm not expecting HBO or anything like that, but what, if anything, will I be able pick up? Also, do you have to pay for installation, the modem, and so on? Or are there options where you are simply "renting" the equipment?

That's total nonsense, and a myth perpetuated by the sports media to make it sound like an event that transcends sports and into world history.

200 Children and Teachers taken hostage in school
Hogan Made Wrestling replied to Vanhalen's topic in Current Events
I tend to agree, but I certainly don't think it should be secondary to Kobe Bryant.
