  1. You need some of the Tucker Carlson show. Yes, he can now freely express a point without Carville shouting him down about Haliiburton and Bush as a crook. Carville has got to be the most annoying Democratic talking head on TV. I'm really amazed at how much better Crossfire is when it's Carlson vs. Begala rather than Carlson vs. Carville, or even worse Novak vs. Carville.
  2. I don't think anyone should be forced to go to college if they don't want to. Let them try to earn a living instead. If they want to go back later and get a real education (not just classes in leadership and sports fitness and so on), let them do it the way the rest of us have to: on merit and by paying their own way though with jobs and student loans.
  3. Would Feller have the same opinion if Bill Clinton or George Bush was throwing out the first pitch?
  4. YES YES YES! I hope to god that Spader wins. Alan Shore is the greatest character on TV. Oh, and William Shatner was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his Denny Crane character in the Practice. These two are slam-dunk winners as far as I'm concerned.
  5. Is George Soros going to be the inspiration for someone in the Republican party to introduce the "Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy"?
  6. That's a pretty sound theory considering this movie looks like a cross between Terminator and The Animatrix (specifically The 2nd Renaissance).
  7. IQ is a SHITTY measure of how intelligent a person is.
  8. Simple: he is a free agent, and he can dictate whatever he wants to teams if they want to sign him. Bryant has all the leverage in this situation.
  9. Robert De Niro Kevin Spacey Al Pacino Marlon Brando
  10. Just how much bigger could they have been?
  11. That one has already been done, sadly enough. Oh, I didn't even catch this part of the story. It actually might be WORSE than the ketchup, if that's possible:
  12. Note to self... go to the White House with a twelve-pack of Turbo Dog for Jenna Bush. Eh, she's a butterface.
  13. Well it still is somewhat of an issue because Bush is calling for a constitutional ammendment. That idea pisses off a lot of people, both liberals and conservatives.
  14. I have to think back to Richard Nixon's famous quote about how as long as Spiro Agnew was his VP no one would ever try to assassinate him. I'd say the same thing goes for Bush and Cheney.
  15. Robert De Niro Jack Nicholson Kevin Spacey Clint Eastwood Al Pacino Marlon Brando Harrison Ford Morgan Freeman
  16. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...fp/us_vote_food The only thing dumber than the ketchup itself is the fact that people will probably buy it.
  17. Actually I don't think that situation should qualify for some sort of exemption at all. I'm thinking more along the lines of something like "kid is born to two military parents serving on a base in Germany, and moves back to the US when they are one year old" would be the type of situation where one could allow for exceptions. Someone who has had schooling in another country is too far along in their "intellectual development" to not be affected by biases and affinities.
  18. I suppose if Cleveland is going to piss away the season this wouldn't be a bad time to do it. Not only is there possibly a labour disruption on the horizon, but the 2005 draft looks like it could be stacked.
  19. Oh sure, selective prejudice will go over REAL well. We'll allow SOME foreigners to run, just not the Arab ones... Universal rule, no one feels left out, you have to be a natural born American. Period. That's not what he saying. He's saying that if someone is born in another country and comes to the United States at a very young age, before they can be strongly influenced by their home country and develop political opinions, then they should be eligible to run for President. I can certainly see that as being a reasonable idea, moreso than a full lifting of the rule. On the other hand, I have a disfavourable view of anything being pushed by Orrin Hatch.
  20. And Coz wasn't talking about YOU. He can criticize elements of the black community without criticizing ALL blacks. Just as people can criticize segments of the white community and not criticize ALL whites. Did "the man" also cause the total breakdown of the family? -=Mike well "the man" certainly brought crack-cocaine into this country. Do you have anything even remotely resembling proof of this claim? This has been an urban legend (key word "urban") for years now, and I don't recall anyone ever having any documentable proof whatsoever to back it up. Wait, so you honestly believe the government doesn't funnel drugs into this country? Nowadays, certainly not. Back in the 70s and 80s when the US government was supporting drug dealers like Noriega to fight communism, they probably weren't explicitly allowing it, but more likely turning a blind eye.
  21. Cosby foots college bills for top grads Nice to see that Cosby isn't just a bunch of empty talk and is actually trying to make a difference.
  22. Robert De Niro Patrick Stewart Russell Crowe Michael Douglas Tom Cruise Gregory Peck Malcolm McDowell Jack Nicholson William H. Macy Cary Grant Kevin Spacey Gene Hackman Toshiro Mifune Denzel Washington Humphrey Bogart Clint Eastwood Sidney Poiter Al Pacino Tim Robbins Tom Hanks John Malkovich Anthony Hopkins Marlon Brando Dustin Hoffman Harrison Ford Henry Fonda Orson Welles Edward Norton Daniel Day-Lewis Paul Newman Jack Lemmon Gary Oldman
  23. I wouldn't trust them either, but I'd probably turn a blind eye to their activities so long as those activities consist of killing Al-Queda militants.
  24. Belfour with the Leafs and Hasek with the Senators is exactly the same situation. Anyone who considers the Leafs a contender is laughable...BUT, many are saying Hasek would be the final piece of the puzzle for the Sens. Now they just need to get tougher. Trading Alfredsson away for a few more tough role players with upside would make them the champions. Keep in mind also, every few years Belfour has a terrible season. i'd say he's due, plus with the Leaf's not getting any younger or talented on the blue line - he'll have a lot more work than usual. He'll burn out, not unlike in the playoffs. That would be an absolutely ridiculous thing to do. Yeah, trade the team captain, and one of their top scorers, for some 3rd and 4th line muckers.
