Maybe if TLC III didn't immediately follow Bret/Austin, I wouldn't have a problem. Sure the first TLC is a classic spot-fest, but the second and third ones, while decent, were just rehashes of the first. Let's say we do include international matches. Well then what the hell is Benoit/Sasuke doing so low? I can think of maybe four Japanese matches since 1985 offhand (Misawa/Kawada, Misawa/Kobashi vs. Kawada/Taue, Tsuruta/Tenryu, and Maeda/Fujinami) that are better than that match.

Just break a toothpick off in his deadbolt when no one's home. It will annoy the shit out of him and cost him a pretty penny to get it replaced.

This is just plain wrong. I hated....HATED Lil Wayne. But at some point between those sucky first few albums and Tha Carter, this muthafucka learned to rhyme. Then after the Carter he dropped like 550 mixtapes of him just flowing. Then the Carter II has come out with no production from Mannie and I have to say, its a better album than the first one. Oh No is fucking sick. Of course, the fact that I said that I don't like Ghostface in another thread will make all this irrelevant to most. You don't like Ghostface? Interesting. Well at least you didn't say the GZA.

I agree. Any list that doesn't have Austin/Bret WM 13 in their top 10 is null and void to me. While I have no problem with Bret and Austin being a top 10 match of the last 20 years (since I love it so much) I also have no problem with it not being in the top 10. There have been a tonne of superb matches over the last 20 years. Several joshi puroresu matches, several All Japan matches, several New Japan matches, some Stampede matches, some WWF matches, some WCW matches, a couple of matches I've seen from Michonoku Pro, some lucha matches blew me away. The point I'm getting at is there are a lot of different matches that can possibly make that top 10. So far, all he has had are American matches. If that's the case, Bret/Austin should definitely be higher than what it is now.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out reasoning for Hart/Austin being so low. It's one of those matches everybody loves, and it's probably got more historical significance than any other match in its era, excepting Bret/Shawn "screwjob" match. TLC III barely makes the top 50 matches of its decade, let alone the past twenty years. To each their own, I guess, though if I see Bret/Owen, the Shawn/Razor ladder match, or Rey/Eddie anywhere in the next few matches, this list loses what little credibility it had.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

Apparently Shogun vs. Coleman is on for Pride 31, I guess to prepare Shogun for the open weight GP. Here's the link, in Japanese unfortunately. http://sportsnavi.yahoo.co.jp/fight/pride/...spnavi-spo.html -
Woah, that last one's kind of a shock. One of the top ten American matches of all time, IMO. Well, it's your opinion so mine is moot I guess.

I think people make a big deal out of Kobashi/Joe because it's mother fucking Kobashi wrestling in America against one of our top workers. But I don't know, I don't think it was CLASSIC or anything.

Okay, here's how I've always looked at star ratings: You can't judge matches from other promotions against each other, IMO. So what I do is I take a match (Bret vs. Owen from WMX) that sets the standard for the company. It gets five stars, everything else done by that company in that certain time span gets 4.75 stars or lower. For example, few ECW matches would even reach 3.5 stars, let alone 5 stars based against everything else in the wrestling world, but by its own standards you can more easily rate matches. This is probably confusing so I'll just stop.

Basically a bunch of crap and stuff we already have on DVD. I will, however, be checking it out for the Rey/Psicosis death match from NTR '95.

I remember SuperBrawl III was in Asheville. I guess it was in the Civic Center, I couldn't imagine it being anywhere else.

Well, Shaun Alexander went to Alabama so I'm gonna be rooting for the Seahawks.

I pick Carolina for the NFC title game. They're hot and Seattle has the track record of not winning the games that count. 30-23. Denver and Pittsburgh will be very interesting. They both have solid, reliable quarterbacks, fast defenses, great running games, and good receiving corps (with a Pro Bowl receiver for each; Ward/Smith). I guess I'll pick Denver because I'm biased and they're at home. Uhhhh, 23-20.

PRIDE looking to hold No Weight-Limit GP

Regardless of whether or not Gomi is a better pound for pound fighter (he is), Wanderlei would still be too strong for him, I think. -

I really don't think there will be anyone less than LHW in this tourney. I think this is just to throw some LHW's like Silva, Rampage, Overeem who walk around heavy into some interesting matchups with fighters like Nog, Cro Cop, Fedor, who aren't necessarily that much heavier than those guys at their "walk around" weights. -

I think Hunt is getting too much credit here. The only credible heavyweight he has beaten is Cro Cop, and he has the same style as Hunt. If he would have fought some wrestlers/GNP specialists or some BJJ fighters then maybe I'd put him there. Kharitonov's record is more impressive against better fighters (Werdum, Rizzo, Schilt) -
There was a Clash piece done in a magazine not too long ago that listed the greatest Clash songs of all time. It'd be cool if anybody had that and could post the list.

What do you think about Suda's retirement, Lei?

"Bankrobber" is easily my favorite Sandinista song, and one of my top 10 favorite Clash songs. EDIT: Whoops, "Bankrobber's" not on here. Yeah, this CD isn't very good. "Police on My Back" is great, too bad it's a cover song.

A lot of Southeast Asian countries, Thailand specifically, would also benefit from smaller weight classes.
