You know it's not surprising that Hawk makes the most sense in his posts and he's also the one currently leading the pool. -

You didn't list anybody, dude! Well, I'd say Muresan, whew, he was pretty gruesome. -

What's up with those puss boys at Iowa? If there is one thing I hate about the tourney and their accompanying pools it's when a team blows a huge lead. First UNCW and now Iowa. -

Hell, yeah!, Indiana! Woulda been on here sooner, but, you know, school. BTW, I root for ALL my games, because even games you think are meaningless if you miss them can bite you in the ass. I lost a pool a few years by like one or two points. The difference was 1st place having more 1st round picks right than me. Oh, well. -
This wasn't referenced until the seventh post? Crazy... I used to tip 1 dollar for every refill. They'd get a dollar just for serving, plus another for every refill after that. In other words, they'd get rewarded for keeping up with my drinks. I have been to some places before and have gotten my drink and didn't receive a refill until I left. Deserving of a one dollar tip.

Transformers and Ninja Turtles should both have been top ten. Better longetivity than the Hula Hoop, I think. You can never have enough adventures with action figures, but how long did it to take for everyone to get sick of twirling some plastic ring around your waste. Legos definitely deserve their place. Barbies, I guess so, maybe someone with a sister can better testify to that.

If you get accepted to all three just pick the one that gets the farthest

Things are gettin' heated with Duke/BC. Paulus acts like he just won the World Series after getting a turnover, and Hinnan overreacts to some accidental contact by Paulus and a huge brawl almost breaks out. Shits starts to settle once Craig Smith imposes his self in the middle of things, but man, that was almost ugly.

It may just be me, but if a bubble team loses in the quarterfinals of their conference tourney they should NOT be in the big dance.
-
So what kind of competition do we have goin' on here at the board for the tourney?
-
Gotcha, it's rare that you see Matt on his back so going back in time to see what he does makes sense now.

I don't know if anyone can reference UFC 29, Hughes has changed so much since then. Maybe not in a way noticeable to just watching his fights, but training-wise. I'm almost sure he would never get caught like that again. (And don't say Penn because he's on a whole nother level from Hallman)
-
I give the edge ever so slightly to Hughes. Here are my reasons: 1. He won the first fight, ever so important psychological edge. 2. Even though St. Pierre stuffed one of Matt's takedowns and even took Matt down, I see Matt training really hard on his wrestling (even more so than usual) and containment. St. Pierre is the better striker and he's really slippery, so I see Matt wanting to take him down and keep him there. 3. Even though he was subbed by Matt in the first fight, St. Pierre is still the better BJJ specialist. That's 3-1 for St. Pierre in the main "fight game" facets, wrestling, striking, and BJJ. However, I think Matt will try to turn this into a ground and pound victory by decision. Sorry if I'm kinda muddy and nonsensical, I'm drugged up on wisdom teeth medication I should rewatch all of these guys' fights til like '04 and I'll have a better idea

It would be strange if Gono/Minowa fought since they (DSE) usually don't match up top natives against each other. Filho vs. Ninja makes sense since Ninja has expressed desires to drop to 185 and Chute Boxe has the natural rivalry thing going with BTT. I know Baroni is already matched up with Kondo, but would Baroni/Ninja be a slugfest or what? Holy shit.
-
I would imagine Kang vs. Gono/Minowa. I have no qualms with either of those. Poor Imanari. At least those two get to fight someone at their own weight.

Ummmmm, "In Another Land."

You've heard it before. Why "Squeeze Box" continues to played on the radio and put on greatest hits albums is beyond reasoning, easily one of the band's worst.

Yeah, Ghostface is coming back here in April, I missed his first show in October, so I'm def gonna check this one out.

PRIDE 31 Spoilers/Results
AboveAverage484 replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Really? I always thought that the DVDR were guys who were self professed experts, MMA smartmarks to put it another way, who think they know more than they actually do. TUF fans who started watching a year ago and now think they know everything about the sport. Though of course there are guys like Naimark who know what they're talking about because they've been watching for years. I've pimped this particular message board before, but I'll do it again: http://www.kakutougi.info. Some professional fighters, people fed up over Sherdog, knowledgable posters, THE most up to date news on shit out of Japan. -
Bossman should probably be in before Rocky Johnson.

I really can't see him fairing well against the big 3, for obvious reasons. -

Try getting out from underneath someone with a fucked up shoulder mister know it all. -
Saw the GZA in Asheville last night, great show. His raps are so smooth, and he is no bullshit. The two opening acts both spouted off about Bush, but he remained mute on the subject. Somebody brought a RIP ODB t-shirt and threw it to the GZA on stage and then he let him hold his chain up with the GZA symbol on it. Some dumbass right in front of the stage grabbed it and got the symbol off, GZA was like "If you don't give me that back I'm gonna fuck you up," and I was like oh shit, two rows or so behind. Luckily he gave it back, only low point of the night, what a fucking dumbass. Edwin, if you're interested, he does pretty much one verse and a chorus from each of his songs. He opened with "Reunion," then worked his way through some selected cuts from his Wu-Tang stuff, solo stuff, the new album, and finished with "Triumph." Great show.
