  1. The ECW wrestlers always made a great impression back in the day. I managed to land 1st row seats for a house show back in early-mid 1999. RVD won the main event and stayed for approx 10-20 minutes just circling the ring high-fiving everyone, taking pix, and making in character chit-chat w/ everyone. Alphonso was great too. Got Jason's autograph afterwards (only recognized him because of the neck brace he was wearing at the time). I think he was w/ Jazz but I didn't know who Jazz was at the time so I didn't pester her. Meanwhile, New Jack was signing a ton of autographs at the other side of the bar. He seemed very cordial to the fans. Since this is a thread about wrestlers being pricks, I may as well bring up when Bubba Ray threw my buddy's brand new Devil Rays cap into the crowd during a confrontation never to be seen again.
  2. Not a huge fan of the fact that you can watch the whole show w/o clicking each individual link for each segment, but it's all good.
  3. You're right about that. He also did it at the Bash at the Beach 1994 ppv.
  4. I've said it before but I don't mind the 6-sided ring. It's just that it's WAY too small. Makes them look bushleague . . . or worse, a Worldwide taping.
  5. I had a chance to hear much of it (1st time listener) and enjoyed it. I look forward to more. Maybe it was just me but it seemed like HTQ was bracing himself for the worst (like he was expecting calls from that Fishywa or Carnival dude) when he made his initial greeting.
  6. Let's see if Striker is this lovestruck by the company when he gets his release in 3-6 months.
  7. In all fairness, Monsoon referred to him as Ricky Steamboat several times on Challenge during that run.
  8. Riggs was Lex Luger's flag bearer for his KOTR Qualifying Match against Yokozuna in 1995. Lenny Lane wrestled a Heat match or 2 last year.
  9. Those shirts would only be cool if your name was actually Christian.
  10. "You'd be a little smarter if you knew how dumb you sounded." "Your favorite rock group is Mount Rushmore."
  11. It's really very sad that these two grown adults can't at least display a tiny bit of humility and gratitude when addressing the other.
  12. I'm guessing Kennedy will be the ring announcer for the US Title match at No Mercy.
  13. As much of a prick Warrior is in his own right (in his commentary, he refers to his character as He and Him like he's the fuckin' messiah), I really hope he successfully sues Vince for millions just to send a message that you can't publicly screw with someone just because they don't want to play ball.
  14. Does anyone think Vince has the balls to blame a poor rating (assuming it remains in the 3s next week) on the fact that viewers are just having a dang ol tough time finding USA on their cable systems? I know Steph used that excuse five years ago when WWF moved to The New TNN.
  15. Shockingly bad? I, for one, am not shocked.
  16. And after tonight's episode, my complete faith in The Office has been restored. I'm still the same ol' Michael Scott, new and improved.
  17. From Lords of Pain who credits pwinsider.com
  18. Ugh. It's as if some of these guys don't realize that they get paid regardless of the outcome. What did Bam Bam think would happen? "Oh what's that, Bigelow did a job to Kea last month? Like hell he's being booked on this show." Sheesh.
  19. Can you please expand on this? He seemed like he was a pretty down to Earth guy every time I've seen or read something about him. Thanks. Not sure if you missed it when it was originally posted, but I was just curious when or how he turned into a complete asshole. Thanks.
  20. When did he say that? In his book? I wish he wasn't originally from Cleveland. We have enough problems.
  21. I don't dislike Kennedy, but even as a heel, I think he lays on his shtick a little too thick. If he could just tone it down a bit, I think he'd really benefit from it.
  22. If it means I get to see Valentine take an over the top rope bump, I'm all for it.
  23. "Diversity Tomorrow . . . why tomorrow? Because today is almost over." Personally, the Health Care ep was my favorite. Dwight stripping benefits from everyone was gold. Plus, his exchange w/ the lady from Corporate was awesome as well . . . "This is Dwight Schrute, Acting Manager of the Scranton Branch requesting your permission to fire Jim Helpert." "What's your name again?" "Schrute, Dwight Schrute." "I got news for ya, you are not the manager of ANYTHING!" I didn't mind the season premiere since Pam was wasted anyway. They can pretend that night never happened and continue on where they left off from Season 1. I'm hoping things will move more slowly between them assuming they'll be restrained to the office for most of the rest of the season rather than a restaurant/bar. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the next episode.
  24. I'm a Becker mark so I'll bring up a scene where Becker barges into the diner to bitch & moan about football players making gobs of money and then crying when they get the slightest of injuries. Mike Ditka was sitting right behind him and proceeded to chew him out before leaving. It's been a while since I've seen it so I can't remember any specifics.
  25. ^^^ Hello everyone, this is Todd Grisham alongside Michael Cole taking you back to Madison Square Garden and WrestleMania I for this exclusive WWE WrestleMania dvd collector's set.
