There'll always be a numskull watching it 5 minutes ahead of everyone else. -
OSSOTD for 10/8/04: WCW Hog Wild 1996
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I marked hard for The Giant hulking up on Hogan. And just an opinion, maybe you should only post 1-2 shows per week. After a week or two, 7-14 shows will probably become overkill. -
I can't believe I never thought of that. Good call. I guess w/o the grunting, he's no Iron Mike though. Although, after his push subsides, he can take over Grisham's job and be Mean Gene Snitsky, Backstage Interviewer. 1-900-SNITSKY

Really, who hadn't won the belt? Jeez, Molly Holly won it once. Steve Austin The Rock Triple H Rikishi Just a few names. I never won it.

Seven years ago Brian Pillman passed away...
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
I liked his heel turn in 1992 (Clash XX). Good stuff w/ him running down the Armstrong family while Jesse Ventura actually plays it straight and IIRC, sorta sides w/ Armstrong a bit. -
The 'Gene Snitsky' name sounds so phony bologna (I really don't know if it's his real name or not). I can imagine whomever wrote the wwe.com piece about him probably had to ask around to find out how to spell Snitsky. Was it Snitsky? Shnitsky? Snitchky? Snishky? Schnitsky?

Which brand do you like better right now?
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Raw is just plain dull right now whereas at least Smackdown can make me grin at the antics going on. It comes across like a much more casual show than Raw's intense flagship atmosphere. As of now, I go w/ Smackdown and hope that Raw can shake things up. -
When did Workrate start to matter in WWF?

That was a good read Deputy. -
OSSOTD 10/6/04: Halloween Havoc 1994
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
IIRC, this was Stunning Steve's last hoorah on ppv. And the cage match was fun chaos w/ The Brain channeling his energies from 1992 but it wasn't the same w/o Gorilla. It was maybe the first blantantly WWF-style match on WCW ppv. -
We need to be punished for liking Snitski. So tonight, in this very ring, we all face...KAAANNNEEE... Awww C'mon, NOT Kane! ANYONE but Kane!

If loving Snitsky is wrong, Tough Shit!

For starting such a dead end thread, you asked for it: IT'S NOT OUR FAULT WE ARE ALL SNITSKY MARKS!!! (Meancing Stare)

Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...
MillenniumMan831 replied to natey2k4's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, I believe Vince made that match and it happened before WM2000. I don't think Godfather was IC Champ at the time though. I just remember VInce screaming how Steph would go on the . . . HHHOOOOOOOOO TTTTTRRRRAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! -
Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...
MillenniumMan831 replied to natey2k4's topic in General Wrestling
IIRC, the Droese loss was a reverse decision DQ loss . . . although it is an anti-climatic way to end a 6 month long undefeated streak. -
Huh? Yeah... Damn Hulk Hogan... why did you have to... draw all that money? Why can't you be like Bret who didn't have that problem? It just would have been funny since Hogan was in near tears screaming out "WHY?!? THEY LOOKED IDENTICAL!!!! HOW MUCH DID THE PLASTIC SURGERY COST!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!" . . . then Gene, cool as a cucumber, could have wrapped up the segment w/ that line and thrown it to Vince. Would it haev made sense from a kayfabe standpoint? Of course not. Would it have been funny as hell? No doubt.

This is actually a fantasy quote as it never happened but thought it would be a golden nugget indeed if it did. I'm sure many of you are familiar w/ The Main Event 2/88 and Hogan FINALLY being dethroned. Anywhoo, Hogan cuts an infamous whiny promo about how much the plastic surgery the twin referees had cost and all that jazz. W/ Hogan in near tears, I'd have marked the hell out if Mean Gene would have muttered . . . "Well, easy come easy go. Vince, over to you."

vs. Blue Blazer (WMV) vs. Brutus Beefcake (WMVI) vs. Big Bossman (WMVII) vs. Lex Luger (WMIX) Yeah, I guess I enjoyed the earlier WM matches than the latter ones. Next --- Rick Martel

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a Coliseum Video Master of Royal Rumble 1990 that can be dubbed in LP. Here's my list if you're interested in anything. http://www.geocities.com/millenniumman831/Tape_List.html Thanks.

Hello all, I am looking to unload the following videos for $8 each shipped in the continental US. Buy 2 . . . $15. Buy 3 . . . $20. $5 for the 4th tape. Even though it doesn't have much to do w/ wrestling but for those who have seen The Sandlot and any ep of Raw in the last 2 years, a simple "You're killin' me Smalls!" would be a nice sign. Of course in this case, Smalls would be referring to the booking . . . errr, I mean writing team.

No Mercy PPV.. Looks Good/Bad?.. Discuss It Here.
MillenniumMan831 replied to natey2k4's topic in The WWE Folder
I think I liked the Mark of Excellence finisher better than . . . the punch. -
Chris Jericho's face turn in 2000. I still don't understand that one. So, he respects Chyna after the Triple Threat Match at RR2000 . . . but still wrestles as a heel in the RR match itself. Even so, it was a pretty lame face turn unless I'm missing something here . . . which I probably am.
