D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan
MillenniumMan831 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
. . . And Lance Storm. -
There is NO WAY they can air the TE segment w/ The Big Show. Not even WWE can be that stupid, jeez I hope not. They'd honestly be better off either televising a Velocity match in its place or showing a match from No Mercy (Guerrero/Reigns for example).

I'll take a dozen American Dream Dusty Rhodes dvds.

D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan
MillenniumMan831 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in The WWE Folder
As a paying customer going to a WWE show, what is one supposed to do? Sit on his/her thumbs all night? Granted, most fans end up doing that but many are hell bent on having a good time and would like to enjoy themselves (what a concept). Cheering the faces and heckling the heels is the most common way for an enthusiastic fan to do this. Realistically, D-Von may have had some personal issues that he brought w/ him to work and let a fan push him over the edge. I am GUESSING that the fan probably called him an asshole once or twice but I really don't think a man of his stature would EVER drop the N-Bomb to a man the size of D-Von. If he did, he's an idiotic ignorant goof, on several levels. -
I've already preordered my Austin Idol dvd.

Almost as good as the 2-disc Bryan Clarke set.

And it still probably has a WWE logo in there somewhere. -
D-Von Dudley involved in altercation w/ fan

With all the shit the Dudleys used to babble off in ECW, you'd think D-Von would be thick-skinned enough to take whatever a 150lbs fan had to verbally dish out. BUT, on the bright side, D-Von is following the dress code . . . OH WAIT, are the gentlemen wrestlers allowed to wear earrings? Now, THAT should be Unacceptable! -

FWIW, if you spend $25 at FYE this month, you get $10 off anything at the store from 11/1 to 11/20. What happened to the RVD figure? -
Kido, the Red Rooster/Brawler segment that originally took place on Prime Time? The one with Gorilla? If so, IN COMPLETE AGREEMENT. I mentioned this segment in the "Funniest Moments that weren't supposed to be Funny" thread. I will say it again, that is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. That's it. BEST SEGMENT EVER. That might be the first and only time I've ever seen Gorilla get involved in anything(Brawler hit him with a stool), after his retirement......... It's funny, but it ain't the greatest segment ever. Yeah, seeing Monsoon fall over due to a stool shot from the Brroklyn Brawler is humorous, but nothing worth rewinding and watching again and again and again. Just my .02

No argument here. No matter how shitty the live Raws have been in the last few years, I always have a huge smile whenever they play that video before the matches begin. Totally awesome to see which old/new timers get pops and who don't. Just a wonderful video.

Evolution vs Every babyface on RAW

Toss out Maven, put in Benjamin, and you've got something. Have they done a damn thing to improve Maven's character in the the three or so years he's been around? Every time Maven wrestles Lawler: I remember one year when Maven actually eliminated The Undertaker from a big battle royal a while back. -
I keep hearing Benoit is ruggedly handsome.
-
^^^ Oh yeah, I have no problem w/ Shelton Benjamin winning the poll and the title but I was hoping Rhyno could have at least of received about 10% of the votes.
-
I was kinda hoping Rhyno would rack up more votes seeing that he was promoted as a real threat to the title . . . but then again, he was only built up for two or so weeks.
-
^^^ Hogan in 1991 was a no brainer as well.
-
My pushes were based on if the figure could stand w/o me having to hold it up all the time (Rockers, Dusty Rhodes, IRS, ect were jobbers). This was vital since damn near every show I had either had a battle royal or a Royal Rumble.

- Jericho winning the Undisputed Title. Didn't matter to me that it was a screwjob since you know the only way he could possibly win would be to cheat or have cheaters come to his rescue. - Benoit winning the RR and at WMXX. Pretty obvious ones. - Warrior actually pinning Hulk Hogan at WMVI. I kinda figured he'd win since it'd be pretty anti-climatic to put the IC Title on Hogan, but I thought the match was great nonetheless. - Ric Flair going the distance at RR92. It was the 1st RR I got to see live on ppv and he did a remarkable job of shitting his pants regardless of who came through the curtain. Even Heenan built everyone up as a threat . . . "Uh oh, it's Nikolai Volkoff, ANOTHER 300 pounder! Oh God!" - Macho Man finally has enough of Hogan's crap and attacks him during the 2/89 Main Event. - The above stated ECW reformation during Raw. Just a beautiful segment followed later on by one that was positively depressing for the short and long term. - The entire 1991-92 Savage/Roberts feud. Pure hatred, pure emotion, pure carnage . . . it was impossible to predict what would happen next. - The entire 1999 Big Show/Bossman feud from an entertainment standpoint. I'd be watching wondering how they could stoop so low. However, I'd be laughing my ass off at all the segments . . . and it was just surreal to have a Big Show/Bossman feud for the WWF Championship. -
Yeah, I remember Brad Armstrong racking up a win or two in the tourney and next thing you know Ohtani is the champ and even quicker yet, Malenko wins it anyway.
-
Hey now! We got to see Chavo Guerrero Jr. finally get a shot in on Eddy Guerrero to start their feud, as well as the brilliant commercial break mic work of Billy Kidman! That show's my pick too, actually. I never went to another WCW show after that. To be totally honest w/ you, I don't even remember those 2 bits. All I remember is a Benoit/Booker interview segment (It was Benoit's B-day as I brought a sign to commemorate it), Jericho/Calo, Duggan/Adams, Neidhart/Finley, an in ring interview w/ either Giant or Luger, and the ME involving those 2. The rest is a blur although I did pick up a Raven t-shirt but still am ashamed I never mail ordered for a WCW Monday Night Jericho shirt. I did end up going to an August 2000 Nitro. It was the infamous fans vote on who faces Booker T . . . but it'll be Goldberg anyway episode. While the wrestling wasn't top notch, the segments were entertaining enough to not make me feel like I gave my money away. Plus, we got to see Goldberg's only clean loss (?) in WCW to Booker T.
-
You'd THINK they wouldn't put such a shitty show for a homebase city like Augusta . . . but no one ever accused WCW of thinking, so there ya go.
-
Just saw the video (Hey, Browns/Eagles was on), and I must say . . . What a bitch! You'd think she could just offer an apology and leave the band out of it.

It's a tie for me: Thunder sometime in May of 1998 --- Awful show w/ no dark matches and a Luger/Giant ME. Benoit/Booker had a promo segment so neither one had a match but guys like Jim Neidhart, Hacksaw Duggan, and Brian Adams did. The only saving grace was an appearance from former CW Champion Chris Jericho. And the other would be the Raw before SummerSlam 2004 --- Not one, not two, but three Diva segments. The 4 matches included 2 good bouts in Edge/Jericho and Benoit vs. HHH/Orton. But the other matches were Rhyno/Tajiri against 2 jobbers and a Diva 6-Woman Tag. Yech. I honestly had more fun watching the Heat/dark matches than the live Raw itself. Just bleh!
