"You don't play just to play!"

The second quote was when he was w/ the Saints. EDIT --- Does anyone know where to find audio or video clips of Mora's famous press conferences?

"You can't shave a green horse with white paint my friends." Ok he didn't really say this, but if I said he did, no one would argue.

Face/heel turns during Russo's WCW stint
MillenniumMan831 replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
That was in the time period between Russo's booking stints, when Kevin Sullivan & co. were in charge. Some of these turns are just mind boggling. I do NOT remember Bret Hart joining the New Blood. I remember Hart coming back and helping Lance Storm I believe, but nothing with the New Blood. He didn't help him, Lance Storm won the US title on a PPV and Bret came down after to congratulate him, nothing was out of the ordinary, as it was in Canada and Bret made his return. Sorry for picking nits w/ ya, but Storm retained the title at the ppv and won it on a prior Nitro (special Tues night?) in a one night tournament. -

Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...

Besides (and this is from a guy who doesn't even remember seeing the match), I have to assume it involved lots of run-ins. Did anybody find his job to Brooklyn Brawler to be humiliating? -=Mike I believe Jericho made a run in but I'm sure Batista used some force from the outside as well. Ah yes, how could we forget the good Deacon? -

Major Gunns turned heel to voluntarily join Team Canada after she was forced to join them a few months prior. -

Russo wasn't around at the time of Fall Brawl 1999. The 70s Guy gimmick was before he joined Team Canada. He never broke away from Team Canada until the buyout. -

While I don't remember the quote itself, I do remember Nash dressed as the Grand Wizard for Scott Hall's WCW Championship Tournament match against Lash Leroux in Oct/Nov of 1999.

Got power like the bear but quick like the cat, 2 and 2 together got yo face on the mat. You count the stars while the ref counts 3, Hope you like to look at ceilings cause that's all you gonna see! Clerence Mason is the man crossin t' and dottin i's, He tells the truth the whole truth and never tells a lie. -
At around 1993-95, I used Tom Zenk as Chris Benoit. Didn't look all that far off. I also used HBK Shawn Michaels as Jeff Jarrett since I already had Rocker Shawn. Giant Gonzalez was Diesel. And finally since I had Macho Man and Macho King, Macho King would become . . . Blake Beverly!

Best point Ive read on this thread! I see where you're coming from but in Puder's defense, they were training all day prior to the taping. They show up to the arena and Kurt Angle (in character or not) is a complete dick to everyone. Puder ends up being the only guy to really properly do a squat thrust while he finds himself losing to the one hoss who gets beat by Angle. Angle then calls out anybody to face him . . . . . . Now if you were Puder w/ all your UFC submission knowledge (in the heat of the moment), would you worry more about trying to put him on his back or get him to tap? I'd have the asshole squealing if I could. I don't remember Angle saying how amateur wrestling rules applied. Angle wanted a shoot and he got one.

Yeah, Beau had that big ol scar around his jaw region.

As much as Snitsky has amused me, I really wished Flair would be in the ME. Considering, I've gone to shows on and off since 1989 (and this is the last show I'll be attending for a LONG while . . . too expensive) and have NEVER seen Ric Flair wrestle, it'd be nice to get this little monkey off my back.
-
Yeah, Bloom was definitely Beau (w/o mustache) and Enos was Blake (w/ mustache).
-
Who's Mike Sanders? . . . I kid cause I care.
-
And you know what that means *chuckles* Actually I have no idea what that means. Seriously. Shit Out of Luck . . . The Thrillers in WCW would always say how the face will be SOL . . . and the others would chime . . . And you know what that means!

WWE Releases Billy GUnn and A-Train
MillenniumMan831 replied to edotherocket's topic in The WWE Folder
From Lords of Pain who got it from PWI: Test, who has been out recovering from neck surgery since June, was informed of his recent WWE release over the phone by Johnny Ace. Ace assured Test that the decision was made solely by Vince McMahon In an almost unheard of practice, WWE let the wrestler go while he was out and physically unable to work. He will need at least six more months to recover. After asking Ace what he is supposed to do now that he can't work for six months. In an unsettling moment, Ace commented by saying something along the lines of "we hoped you saved some money." He then told Test to call WWE when he was healthy, to which Test replied "no thanks." -------------------------------------------------------- Well even if Test was a dick to that mentally challenged fan, I don't think he deserved all this. But I for one am not broken hearted about it.
