Wrestlers where their debut televised matches were
MillenniumMan831 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
He also did one shot as "The Super Giant Ninja" on an episode of WCW Saturday Night, losing in about a minute and a half to new US Champion One Man Gang. Sadly, so few people watched World War 3 that nobody noticed even though the ring outfit was the same. I noticed . . . and now that you mentioned it, I do remember the Giant Ninja. -
Yep. Booker, Goldberg, Russo, Nash, Sting, Jarrett ... the other names escape me. Actually Nash retained the title after he camped out near the door the whole time . . . but it was WCW 2000, who could keep track?

Orton/Shelton, Orton/Edge, Christian's Challenge

And the Jericholic Ninja. Oh, how I long for the days of Jericho fighting for justice against the evil dictatorship of Jo Jo Dillion. -
Nice review JHawk. I, too, remember Tomko's tag team dark match at Raw in November, although I was more distracted by Tyson Dux's dancing. The only exchange my buddy and I had about Tomko went something like this. Buddy: Wow, this guy is pretty big! Me: Yup.

That Royal Rumble Raw BS pissed me off. I was totally psyched to see the RR free but instead they show little clips throughout the show. And not even in order either. That was an awful bait-and-switch.

Didn't Bob Holly debut in the 1994 Royal Rumble? Undertaker at Survivor Series 1990. Flash Funk at Survivor Series 1996. -
*Bump* Adding the following: - WCW Souled Out 2000 Home Video Master (Cut box) - Missy Hyatt Shoot Interview. From Wrestling Universe and I'm pretty sure it's a 1st Gen. Either way, it's VG. - 1st Gens of CV versions of Survivor Series 1987 (Don't ask how I got this to dub way back when), Hulkamania 4, SummerSlam 1994, and Slammy Awards 1997. EX Quality - 3 Eps from Wrestling Challenge from 1/87-2/87. G/VG Quality. 2 Notable matches are Kamala vs. Mick Foley but announced as Faley & the Debut of Demolition (CULLEY as Smash) vs. Sivi Afi/Jerry Allen. Also includes the first few Piper's Pits leading up to WrestleMania III. Also includes better looking eps of SNME 11/89, 1/90, and 4/90 (looks the best of the bunch) in VG+ Quality. And The Main Event 2/90 in VG+ Quality. If anyone's interested or have any questions, please PM me or send me an email at [email protected] Thanks.

WWE "supposedly" had it in the works for a while (heard about it a while back), but it was delayed along with the ECW set to make way for a new set of DVD's, which are the ones being announced here. It could just be an educated guess that'll come true with time. #7. v. Mabel (IYH 5, December 1995) #8 vs. Jerry Lawler in late 1994 in a good ol Coliseum Video Exclusive.

I never said it was a "good" match but it's worth a peek if you've never seen it. Although, I'd keep the FF button handy.

I like Armageddon. Maybe not the best star quality ppv, but quite entertaining nonetheless. The Hollies running wild, the Kat doing her thing, Kurt Angle continuing his undefeated streak, a Battle Royal (I'm a huge battle royal mark), a Cage Match, Street Fight, and the ppv blowoff of Show/Bossman including all the footage that led up to it. IMHO, the best was No Mercy, but I was there live, so my opinion is heavily skewed.

Also included are a few matches from Winter Combat (Diesel/Bulldog, Razor/Douglas (clipped), Hart/Bulldog, & Goldust/Jannetty) - 1st Gens of Home Videos Rebellion 1999, Spring Stampede 2000, and Bloodbath (plus a few bonus cage matches threw in). EX quality. If anyone's interested or have any questions, please PM me or send me an email at [email protected] Thanks.

I at least hope they can air an exclusive match for each brand every week. Nothing big, but at least it could bring in a couple original segments each ep. Plus, it would be a perfect chance for SD to exploit the CWs. As for Raw, well, I'm sure Garrison Cade wouldn't mind squashing Arch Kincaid each week. -
I'm waiting for the Jindrak/Gunn feud over who has the highest vertical leap. Then, after examining that while Jindrak has the 'alonst' perfect body, Gunn's ass is far superior, they will team up and unify the Tag Titles in no time.

9) I'll say HHH. 10) Paul Heyman?

Judgment Day 2004 Promo Poster Inside

Also defeated Stone Cold at A Cold Day in Hell in May of 97 retaining the title. If I wanted to ruin the vibe, I'd mention that he lost a Casket Match to Goldust in 1996, but I won't. -
And I HATED it whenever Heenan would make a witty pro-heel comment in 1996-98, Schiavone would accuse him of being w/ the nWo. That had to be a big thing that helped kill Heenan's motivation in WCW.

HA! That was a great exchange. Good call about Ventura. It seemed the only guys he truly enjoyed watching from that era were Austin/Pillman. Then, they split up in under a year.

I have the ones from "The Collection" that have no scratch logos. They're still EP though.

I'd check ebay or half.com You may find a bargain.

Media post: Chris Benoit Vs. Sid Vicious
MillenniumMan831 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
Why is that nice to know? Who cares? I know wrestling is your hobby and your post ir probably made all in good fun and all but... It's a fake freakin' belt! It gets "really" lost when the promotion says so. Who gives a crap if he left WCW never having "lost" the title. Sheesh. My apologies if that sounded harsh. Or if you're under the age of 16. Take it easy. You're far more worked up than I am. Sorry. I must have seen one too many "In my mind Owen Hart is a former World Champ because he beat Bret in a match once before the decision was reversed" posts. Carry on. It's all good. In that case, you must read a lot of my posts. -
I thought his favor was not having to be Test's bitch anymore.

WOOOOOOOOO . . . . . . Surivivor Series in Cleveland . . . Where it all begins . . . Again! Well, actually it began in Richfield, but that's a suburb of Cleveland.

Thanks for posting. Certainly a feel good moment to see Benoit (of all people) get the Championship in WCW (of all promotions) over someone like Sid. Also nice to know, he never really lost the title.
