  1. Something to do with Savage thinking that Rodman was fooling around with Gorgeous George. And I believe Arli$$ made the match official on Nitro. Ughh! Savage also promised the hummer driver would be at the ppv, and that wasn't solved that fateful evening.
  2. Another great review, and it looks like you didn't miss the Tribe fumble away another win after all.
  3. Interesting interview. Thanks for posting.
  4. Since I've never seen much of Dinsmore, I may be the only one here looking forward to this gimmick. Especially, with Regal leading the way.
  5. I taped the entrances for my battle royal comp . . . flipped channels for 2 minutes, and next thing I know, it's down to 2. Oy, hopefully Bottom Line will show the rest.
  6. It's an alright video, but it seems like it takes forever to get to that Perfect/Flair match. Although, Savage/Taylor and Razor/Santana are fun matches. But, I'm a huge mark for Tito so different strokes for different folks.
  7. 8) 'Timothy Well'? I dunno.
  8. Did anyone notice the WCW Pro logo as one of the WCW mats? Kinda funny since Sonny Onoo's Japanese contingent took over 30min of Pro per week in preparation for Starrcade 1995. Probably a coincidence though.
  9. I actually enjoyed Mayhem for the PS1 for the most part. Ironically, Schiavone/Heenan probably have the best commentating in that game than any other. Every now and again, if you fight in the parking lot or outside the ring, Schiavone and Heenan will go on a huge rant with each other. It's kinda rare but funny . . . since they're ignoring your match just like in real life. Plus, the entrance sets are snazzy and GOSH DARN it, it's the only game you can play on WCW Saturday Night on the MUTHASHIP!!!
  10. Other than the ones mentioned - Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat - British Bulldogs - Best of WWF 3, 7, 9, 13, 15, & 19 - Wrestling's Country Boys (Just seeing if you're paying attention) - Macho Man Randy Savage & Elizabeth - Rampage 1991 - Life & Times of Capt Lou Albano (ONLY if you're an Albano fan, obviously) get my highest recommendation (Like that means a hill of beans). Choken, you passed on Macho Madness? Tell me they were asking $29.95 for it. Ah well, nice work anyways. And because of Wham Bam Bodyslam, I'll always recognize Owen Hart as a former WWF Champion.
  11. "If you're a true Jericholic and you pick me, I promise you'll NEVER EVER lose this game again." Does anyone remember Scott Norton's (or maybe it was Brian Adams) LONG, droning rant on Thunder? He was just rattling on and on and on.
  12. Cool report . . . I wish he didn't just gloss over his 1980s WWF managing run since that's the only role I remember him in.
  13. Raven/Saturn cost the Horsemen the belts the week before. I've always liked this match. It's always a treat to see drastically different wrestling characters clash but still come away with a good/great match. Thanks for posting!
  14. Better than the one he did at Survivor Series 1993 when Owen bumped him off mid-match? I'll say yeah because afterwards they showed his eyes and Bret looked gone. Plus, seeing Jimmy Hart frantically try to slap Bret awake was cool too. Finally, the MSG floor wasn't padded. But, SurSer93 comes in 2nd.
  15. I also loved the Hart Foundation's attempt to win back the Tag Titles at MSG vs. Strike Force (11/87 IIRC). Just a great match by all 4 guys (Well, Neidhart did what he could) and the type of match you had NO idea who would win. Plus, Bret takes one of his finest plunges into the guardrail I've ever seen.
  16. I also like managers holding the belt over their shoulder while their charge wrestled, much like Paul Bearer and Paul Heyman would do. Only if it's a nontitle match.
  17. Two reasons, IIRC: In character reason: Warrior was just so way out there, he felt his belts needed to match how he was. Hence the changes in the strap color for the WWF and IC titles. Real Reason: Warrior would often forget the belts when he was traveling, and they had to make new ones, so they decided it'd fit his gimmick to have colors for the belts. What a dumbass. Youd think that would be the first thing he'd remember to pack.
  18. I remember on Challenge (I think), Bret Hart had an interview just after Survivor Series 1995. He talked about how it irritated him that Diesel would drag the belt to the ring. Hart said he'd wear the belt proudly for the WWF and had it over his shoulder. Fits here.
  19. I've always been a big fan of the Randy Savage vs. Jim Duggan match from late 1989 for the crown in MSG. It was on CV's Mega Matches. Wasn't very good technically, but had good emotion, lots of energy, and a LOT of bumping by Savage. Plus, Sherri cheats her ovaries off in the match.
  20. Well, the rants are great! Especially, the multilingual ones (Wright, Guerrero)
  21. Grade me, Daddio!
  22. Vince seemed to be the originator of giving away the finish by saying Wrestler X was in total control of the match and that nothing will stop him.
  23. Ooooo boy, I better ask my boss for a raise . . . or just have him pay me with dvds.
  24. Caudle and Solie were the guys that had me thinking the NWA was legitimate wrestling.
  25. They should bring in the Harlem's Boys Choir to chant the Kamala entrance music live for each match.
