  1. I really don't "get" the appeal of much mainstream pseudo-gangsta rap. Is it really just a simpleton craving of well-off people to want to relate to harder lives & lifestyles? This goes for both the people that buy the records and make them.
  2. I enjoy a large amount of underground hiphop, really any hiphop with real poetic lyrics without a need to dumb it down to the middle school level of radio. As far as rappers that have gained much success, the only I really care for are Kanye West, the Roots, Tupac, Biggie, and a few Eminem & Jay-Z tracks. I'm probably forgetting something though.
  3. Heh. Nice. I was responding to incandenza's reprimanding of me. He apparently didnt understand what I had been posting.
  4. Not sure what that means. I have already, a couple of times, stated that it is obvious that Coldplay is inspired by many things...early Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Oasis. Inspiration and imitation does not put two bands on the same level. Sorry.
  5. Ok. Radio Head & Cold Play sound the same. And Bob Dylan & Harry Chapin. And Nirvana & the Pixies. And Pearl Jam & Creed.
  6. Bob Dylan inspired a million other musicians...they must all sound just like him too.
  7. But all that Patriotic work that Republicans do has to be taxing. I mean just look at all the great legislation they've passed! And all that money they have spent has to require some serious effort.
  8. I dont care if Coldplay was inspired by Radiohead (which Im sure they were, theyve also said they were inspired by Jeff Buckley) but to compare something as paint-by-numbers as Coldplay to either is really reaching.
  9. Hey, three days a week is pretty hard stuff.
  10. For Parachutes you should try an Oasis comparison then come back later. "But, snuffbox, the Oasis singer doesnt sing high like that!" -The Man in Blak
  11. Yeah, no.
  12. If you can't make out the differences between Coldplay & Radiohead (or Radio Head as the PBP calls them) then you might want to consider giving up on music altogether.
  13. ALOT of high schoolers like Nickelback and anything else that the radio tells them they like.

Green Bay on the road is a good thing.
  18. By name-recognition only wouldnt John Kerry be just as much of a 'frontrunner' as Hube was in '76? Nobody, except those with serious delusions like the Senators themselves, thought Hube had any serious chance in '76 just as anyone should be able to realize that Kerry is going nowhere in '08. Another candidate from 1976 was God, or Birch Bayh as we mortals call him, and his Son, Jerk's personal savior Evan Bayh, is the great hope of 2008. If youre going to attempt to be a pundit, Jerk, you need to look alot deeper than the surface. But I dont expect a whole lot from the guy that believes Warren fucking Harding started the Great Depression AND World War Two with his bare hands.
  19. What Czech, you dont like that type of Euro emo-rock? Thats why you represent everything that is wrong with TSM.
  20. Is there a 3rd string option?
  21. If you know in advance that your paying audience will shit on your idea...its probably not a good idea to follow through on it. But then, you wouldnt be able to mark out for Bob Lashley.
  22. She can't decide if her wrestling messageboard character is a retarded heel or a bratty high school girlfriend. Kids.
  23. The Hube was the early frontrunner in 1976? Really? You sure he didn't just kinda stumble out into a shortlived, mindless stop-Carter 'campaign' late in the running?
