  5. The Taylor-Hopkins fight is still going to blow.
  6. But what if he's 5'1"....and had a joint in his pocket?
  7. I have been my avatar for quite awhile.
  8. B-hop should retire. Tarver is prone to boring fights. Lamest ppv main event in years. The subject of this thread - not lame.
  9. People liking old fat pieces of shit = Nostalgia.
  10. Its actually a pretty decent period of music if you can look past mainstream radio/tv.
  11. Some people are confusing 'influential' with 'defining artist'.
  12. Some of you probably think the Monkees defined the 1960s.
  13. It was pretty weird seeing Royce take a beating like that. I still dont know how he didnt tapout due to the mangled arm. And that flying knee by King Fischer was worth the ppv price alone.
  14. Theres good reasons why Baltimore is near the top of every 'Most violent/dangerous city in America' list...and the fraternal order of police is one of them.
  15. Rob Roblin is a moustache-d reporter (looks and sounds just like the stereotype of a tv newsdude) for WBAL in B-more....my guess, hes covering this story. And he has a funny name.
  16. I think its funny that Dukakis is still given shit for that...yet GWB gets a free pass for playing dress-up soldier during an actual war.
  17. There were alot of people that didnt like Elvis or the Beatles...did they not define their generations? I think that this thread has proven that the two best candidates to define this generation are Radiohead and Eminem. The only problem seems to be a few people completely unable to comprehend this.

    Bonnaroo 2006

Sonic Reducer - Pawn something...sell plasma...garage sale... It sounds like Stevie Nicks might be singing a few songs with Tom Petty as well.
  19. Nirvana defined the first half of the 90's.
  20. I feel they've made two really good albums, one just plain good album and other stuff for which I feel indifference to outright disdain. So I'm not the best person to answer that question. EDIT: See, because I've been drinking, it took me too long to make this post, in which a presumably sober snuffbox answered. Im ripped like Rush Limbaugh.
  21. Radiohead-- I think they are a pretty good band with 4 cds that I really like. I dont consider them one of the greatest bands ever as some might but they could reach that level with some longevity. Their broad popularity of fans willing to pay sometimes ridiculous amounts for concert tickets is probably the biggest factor in them being a candidate for 'defining artist'. They have had a vast amount of critical praise and some mainstream notoriety since the mid/late '90s. When people look back on our times they might be 'THE' band that alot people remember as epitomizing their generation.
  22. I will suffer chronic vomitting spells if it ends up being Dave Matthews Band.
  23. I cant believe somebody actually mentioned linkinpark.
  24. I already answered your question.
