  1. Yes you did. I haven't been impressed with Wisconsisn this year. This is a down year for the Big 10, and I thought Wisconsin was overrated. I dont think we need to hear for the thousandth time.
  2. Very nice. Pavement - Gold Soundz
  3. Yes you did.
  4. I saw Mudvayne twice before the release of LD50...both shows were quite awesome. No idea how theyve performed since.
  5. Mich State is now running up the score...a bit pathetic considering Barry Alvarez on the sidelines is known and respected for never doing that. Nonetheless, Badgers are getting forked in the BUTT...and hard.
  6. Big heavyweight 4-header ppv from Madison Square Garden tonight. I wont be watching, too broke after this week(saw Modest Mouse in NYC and Marilyn Manson in Milwaukee)...anyone here orderin this? Heres the card- John Ruiz v Andrew Golota (some title)...this is an interesting matchup, imo. Can Golota fight as good as he did against Byrd or will Ruiz frustrate him? This could be better than alot of people think. Chris Byrd v Jameel McLine (some title)...this could suck. Both have had boring fights lately and are friends. This has some entertainment potential but could be absolutely terrible. Hasim Rachman v Kali Meehan...I think this will be a good fight. Both can be entertaining, both need to win and want to prove something. Will probably be the best fight of the show. Evander Holyfield v Larry Donald...finally, a fight where Holy actually has a chance. I guess if hes gonna keep fighting its at least good that hes being matched with slower/older/softer guys like Larry 'The Legend' Donald. If I had more cash I would watch this. It might be decent. If anyones inmterested I will probably be posting results from fightnews.com and boxrec.com in this thread.
  7. Thanks professor.
  8. Wisconsin is enjoying a tasty Michigan State dick in the ol' mouth...
  9. Who were the bands you wanted to see?

    Modest Mouse

Not really. They jam a bit, but keep the songs pretty much keep them to the recorded versions. I dont know how much they mix up their setlists as this was my first show. Id say theyre alot more Pavement than jamband.
  11. Jeff Buckley - Everybody Here Wants You
  12. What Would Mr. Blond Do?
  13. And if Wisconsin wins like every other game...will it be called another win over a shitty team on Sunday?
  14. Neil Young - Cowgirl in the Sand
  15. And lets not forget that old darkhorse, Jesse Ventura....
  16. Smashing Pumpkins - Tonight, Tonight (acoustic)
  17. Holy shit. That looks like nothing like Flair.
  18. Id put him at the Buster Douglas betting odds...42:1... Are there any Kennedy offspring on the horizon?
  19. Damien Rice - Delicate
  20. Whats the odds on Dick Cheney giving it a go in '08 if hes still alive/healthy? He would certainly have a chance of winning the presidency, but 'alive/healthy' is a huge intangible here. And I dont think hes shown any interest, but he might if 2007 rolls around and he somehow feels upto it...
  21. I dont think Freudenthal will be a contender in 08...but thats not based on a whole lot. Those Southern governors might deserve some closer looks though...
  22. Modest Mouse - The Good Times Are Killing Me
  23. I thought that gem was eventually trumped by JR himself at KotR 98... "God as my witness, hes broken in half!"
  24. No. Losing candidates seldom are successful later. And, Gore would be laughed at if he tried to run, after his moveon speeches. -=Mike Kinda like how Nixon was laughed at after his 'Kickaround Speech' in '62?... Nixon is the rare exception to the rule. That's why I said "seldom succeed" not "never succeed". Nixon had a wipe-open field with LBJ withdrawing and RFK's assassination. Look at it this way: In what possible way can Gore or Kerry have BETTER opportunities to win when they both lost their respective races? A lot of Dems feel that they were weak candidates (a true comment if ever there was one) and won't take a second chance on them. -=Mike Personally, I dont think Kerry will (nor should) run again. i was genuinely surprised to read a few days ago that he might actually be contemplating such an idea. Gore, however, wouldnt be as big a surprise to me. Both guys have the national notoriety thing working for them...but any chances of victory would obviously hinder on their own campaign overhauls and whoever their opponent would be. People running again after losing isnt too rare, though success certainly is. Both Thomas Dewey and Adlai Stevenson tried twice and lost twice. Nixon won. Gore and Kerry should at least be considered as possibilities, but their chances of winning would be slim.
  25. Doyle struggled to defeat his opponent, Scott McCallum(Thompsons lieutenant, moved up when Tommy took Health&Human Services cabinet job). McCallum was not a very succesful/popular governor, and that election shouldnt hve been nearly as close as it was. Doyle will face a stiff challenge from the growing radical right bloc in Wisconsin. The conservatives surprised me by winning several state elections this year that I didnt think would. If Thompson or any other viable Republican contender gets decent momentum, Doyle wont even win reelection in '06, let alone run for President in '08. Doyle is not a particularly charismatic man...and doesnt have near the popularity of a Tommy Thompson or a Russ Feingold.
