  1. This was why I wrote in 'Richard M. Nixon' this year.
  2. Sevendust - Waffle
  3. Just before the first Lewis fight, Holy had a closer than expected decision against Vaughn Bean(tomato can). Vander was mauled in the first Lewis fight...but came back and barely lost the rematch. Next was the trilogy with Ruiz, lucky stoppage of Rachman, and beatings from Byrd and Toney...a real painful string of fights with only one really impressive performance(Lewis 2) since 1998. A six year string of beatings and embarrassments for one of the toughest and greatest fighters of all time.
  4. Whoever in this thread said that Dave Wannstedt, Herm Edwards, and Mike Sherman are bad coaches clearly no absolutely nothing about football.
  5. Jeff Buckley - Forget Her(video)
  6. Longer than that I'd say. He's been horrible since the first fight with Lewis and even the fight or two before that when he totally struggled against a jobber who he should've owned. My scorecard had Holy winning the rematch with Lennox Lewis.
  7. New Radicals - In need of a miracle
  8. JoeDirt - I think your WCW thread is a better, and cheaper, option than the book.
  9. Chrystal Method and Oakenfold would be a pretty fun NYE party...
  10. No wonder people call pro wrestling gay...
  11. I actually watched a lil SNL this week for the Modest Mouse performances...I was just in The City to see them at Radio City on Tuesday night. Both songs were very good...and, Bob, theyve been playing for like 10 years so theyre not some new band trying to sound different. And, U2 next week? Two good bands in a row? Very nice...
  12. Heres an AP article from cnnsi.com http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/more...s.ap/index.html Apparently the crowd was 12,777...I kinda wish I couldve just stuck around in NYC all week and bought a cheap ticket. And E vander Holyfield still refuses to retire.
  13. I predict it will suck...I hope it doesnt, I wish wwe wouldnt disspoint, but its been so sad lately... Its really ugly to see another company taking ye olde wcw route.
  14. Why does it seem like so many old wrestlers are totally fucking insane?
  15. Pavement - No Life Singed Her
  16. Maybe the judges were watching Ruiz's promoter combing his hair up
  17. Ruiz wins a unanimous decision... Boxrec.com had it 114-111 Golota...whatd you think Jimmy?
  18. Apparently Ruiz's trainer, Norm Stone, was ejected from ringside for shouting profanities at the ref... How bad was it Jimmy?
  19. In a surprising twist, it sounds like Golota-Ruiz is full of fouls...
  20. Great to hear... If I have to pay ppv money to see him get another title shot, I gladly will.
  21. God help us
  22. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
  23. Radiohead - Subterranean Homesick Alien
  24. Thread number 3....can we get this news in the wwe folder next?
  25. IBF heavyweight champion Chris Byrd sucessfully defended his title with a twelve round split decision over Jameel McCline Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. The 270lb McCline, who came into the ring with a 56lb advantage advantage, dropped Byrd with a right hand at the end of round two and tried to take Byrd out with an all out assault in round three, however Byrd weathered the storm. By round four, however, McCline began to slow down although he continued to pound on the champion. By round seven, Byrd's quickness became more of a factor as he began to pepper the rapidly tiring McCline with combinations through round nine. McCline had a good round ten, trapping Byrd on the ropes and connecting with some hard shots. Byrd came back in the eleventh and rocked McCline then won round twelve, also. Scores were 114-112 McCline, 115-112, 114-113 Byrd. -fightnews.com Damn, thats 3 close/controversial decision wins in a row for Byrd...
