  1. You don't think that and "Dancing Queen" aren't already planned? You don't know me very well.
  2. I don't know. Who is prince paul? And what did he do? Was he making any trouble when he came back? Prince Paul flooded the then-NHB with horrible poetic threads about people (and I mean FLOODED, like 10-20 threads). He also made a multitude of horrible remarks about Mole's dead mother, or that was someone else. I'm pretty sure it was Paul.
  3. Our transmitter is impossibly small, and for some reason the closed-circuit TV channel on campus doesn't broadcast the radio station, so maybe one person heard the show tonight besides my five buddies who came into the station to dick around with me. I actually managed to make it almost two hours exactly, completely unwittingly and playing an extra song, with goofy improvisational sketches every four songs or so. Until we get the streamcast up though, it's just a practice session.
  4. I've never known it. Huh, learn something about someone here every day...
  5. Hm, doubles never happen to me...
  6. IM me to remind me to listen, Inc. I definitely want to hear this, and I'll be back by then, ideally.
  7. Prince Paul went a loooooong time without being detected also. Want him back too?
  8. Very doubtful, it barely reaches all of the campus. Tiny, tiny transmitter. I'll let everyone know when the streamcast works, that'll be your best bet. Tentative playlist for The Lovin' Spoonful, March 18th, 2004: 1) DJ Ricey -- "Castles in the Sky (breakbeat remix)" 2) Digweed -- "Flying" 3) [mixed with the previous track] Digweed -- "Heaven Scent" (break for talk) 4) Dick Dale and his Del-Tones -- "Surfing Drums" 5) Happy End -- "Kaze Wo Atsumete" 6) Bobby Darin -- "Don't Rain on my Parade" 7) Kylie Minogue -- "Promises" (break for talk) 8) Whatever Ryan Adams song my cohort phenagles me into playing. 9) Clinic -- "The Bridge" 10) Juno Reactor and Don Davis -- "Mona Lisa Overdrive" 11) Acid Bath -- "What Color is Death" 12) Dimmu Borgir -- "Puritania" (break for talk) 13) DJ Mystic -- "Open Your Eyes" 14) The Avalanches -- "Since I Left You" 15) Paul Van Dyk -- "Nothing But You" 16) Kylie Minogue -- "Secret" (break for talk) 17) Prince -- "Little Red Corvette" 18) Echo and the Bunnymen -- "Do it Clean" 19) Jump Little Children -- "Body Parts" That'll probably be all I can squeeze into the time I've got. I'll probably run over a little, since I WILL talk and not just say what song just played and what's next. The breaks above are where I'll actually say something of substance or have someone come in, as a couple of people I know want to come on and plug some student activity or group. Won't really matter if I go over, the place is pretty slack. I could play all night if I wanted to. EDIT: I was thinking about that Tim, but no stations have been playing it here, so I don't really get the running gag.
  9. My town is essentially dominated by the indie/jam band scene, so just about anything is eye-opening for them. I'll put my playlist here later when I figure out what it'll be exactly.
  10. Yeah, someone had to have balls of steel to make that one. And by "had to have balls of steel," I mean "had to have been a real asshole."
  11. Best interview ever as of the moment that Meth says that big dudes all look like they'd be funky.
  12. See the part about FCC regulations. EDIT: And I found out we have our own site: CofC Radio.com.
  13. Don't whack off!
  14. Reminds me of the Angle suplex off the apron. Yeah, THAT ONE. (does the limp-wristed gesture)
  15. I sometimes think that Anglesault is a 70 year old man who can't comprehend anything about the culture of today's youth.
  16. I've tried to get into Puro, I really have. I can't do it, same as I can't get into Indy stuff very much. Either way, I have no problem giving the match *****. To me, ***** doesn't represent perfection, but the best execution that people are capable of, and the Wrestlemania main event was certainly the best that HHH, Michaels, and Benoit could have humanly done.
  17. "Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilization." DAMN STRAIGHT! This is pretty funny.
  18. No real stance on this except that he should be taken care of as military law dictates, but I'd like to echo the "how have you not been killed" sentiment towards the wonderfully bright fellow who said "anyone who thinks the war was about oil is a liberal who hates America." The whole "liberals hate America" thing just bugs the hell out of me.
  19. Peep the title, and gimme some suggestions, keeping in mind that the college radio station has to go by FCC regulations. The Streamcast can be found here. It isn't up at the present time due to coming back from Spring Break, but whatever. The show will be called The Lovin' Spoonful and will be Thursdays from 8-10pm. Go ahead, gimme requests, suggestions for the format, whatever.
  20. Click on my Homepage link for more Hot Jesus Action.
  21. "Malfunction." Good one, cable company. I would have paid to see the reactions of people,
  22. Nope, you still don't get it.
  23. WHOOSH
  24. (gas pains return after abating for a bit)
