Now they just need to keep the show at 4 hrs. instead of 5. Hey, I love watching WM as much as the next guy, but do you remember what happened the last two years at WM? The crowd was completely dead by the main event, with some people even leaving before it. Can you imagine the lethargy of a crowd by the end of a 5-hr show? Keep it at 4 and go all-out during that time.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread
The Tino Standard replied to Spicy McHaggis's topic in Television & Film
One reason why it is not Jack nor Palmer: The disease has an incubation period of only like 14 hrs. or something like that before going active, remember? Jack was on the heroin a year in the past, and Palmer's assassination attempt was three years previous. Personally, I think the whole "virus" thing was an elaborate bullshit ploy to get Salazar out of the country. -
What would Shelton Benjamin be doing right now?
The Tino Standard replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Minor tangent here... What the hell happened to Rodney Mack anyway? It was like right around the time that Mizark Henry showed up, Mack disappeared. Not that I'm begging for a Return of the Mack, mind you, just curious... -
"And here's to you Mrs. Robinson......" Damn, you stole my exact post word-for-word.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread

Ah yes, notice once again that with all those cars to choose from, he picked a Ford. (not that I'm knocking it... I love Mustangs) How much do you suppose Samsung/Sprint and Ford paid to have their products plastered all over the place this season? -
Yeah, I have to concur with those in favor of the Foreman grill. Without it, I I'd be S.O.L. for making dinner a lot of nights.

The FlowBee OWNED. My all-time favorite, tho, is the Tom Emanski's Defensive Drills video. Just like Fred McGriff says, "THIS is the video that gets results!" EDIT: AHHHH! How could I forget?! ... BLU-BLOCKER SUNGLASSES.

I'm curious to see where this goes, but I just can't see this fitting in with the geriatric network, CBS.

Max Payne 2:Fall of Max Payne

Have you seen the video of Super Mario 3 being beaten in under 11 minutes? I needed an ice pack for my chin after my jaw dropped to the floor. -
Spike TV's video game award show to include
The Tino Standard replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
The same reason Mizark Henry keeps appearing WWE television. Viacom invested a ridiculous amount of money in WWE programming, just like the WWE invested a sick amount of money in Mark Henry. Both companies feel the need to try to get blood from the proverbial stones they've purchased, and they're pushing them as much as possible. -
I like that 85-86 belt. And the 98-02 design gets more hate than it deserves too.

Kurt Angle recruiting Bret Hart
The Tino Standard replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, I would understand Hart being salty about having his career ended under such circumstances, but he dwell on these things anymore? That last sentence he wrote would seem to point to the contrary. -
Rock kinda finds himself in a catch-22 with his promos. His best work (and the stuff that gets the best reactions from the crowd) are his heel promos. That one from Toronto this year was absolutely classic. But unfortunately, his heel act got so good, people started cheering him again, completely rendering his heel status worthless.

Who's to say Brock and/or Goldberg will still have their titles by Wrestlemania? You're talking about an event four months from now. Wouldn't it be possible for them to have some "epic clash of the titans" in a brand vs. brand match with those two, while having title matches with other guys?

Christopher Nowinski Cleared To Wrestle
The Tino Standard replied to Mecha Mummy's topic in The WWE Folder
Why was he sleeping in a towel? That was half of the fun. He went to sleep wearing normal pajamas. So not only did he sleepwalk himself right out of his room, locking himself out, he somehow took off his clothes in his sleep like he was going to take a shower or something. -
Christopher Nowinski Cleared To Wrestle
The Tino Standard replied to Mecha Mummy's topic in The WWE Folder
Former Indians pitcher Brian Anderson has had the same problem with the sleepwalking and waking up not knowing where he is... The funniest instance was the time he somehow locked himself out of his hotel room wearing nothing but a towel. -
The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread
The Tino Standard replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in Video Games
Along those lines, I am also wondering if there's a way to go out the cage door in regular cage matches... If you have a heel wrestler, you need to go with the classic heel move, after all. One other question, despite scanning through the instruction manual (which I almost NEVER do, mind you), I was unable to find a way to drag my opponent across the mat. The reason I bring this up is because inevitably, when I hit a finisher, my opponent ends up right next to the ropes. Sometimes, I can get between him and the ropes when I go to make a pin attempt, but that doesn't always work. Any ideas? -
If Brian's Song doesn't get at least that kind of reaction out of you, then you're a heartless prick. And for some reason, the final episode of the Wonder Years gets me every time.

Triple H cutting his hair? We've already lost Kevin Nash's flowing locks this year. If H cut his too, then suicide hotline workers would need to be called in for overtime.

The One and Only Survivor Series Thread
The Tino Standard replied to Cherry Blossom Viscount's topic in The WWE Folder
I think that got bumped up to Heat, like the Raw tag team title match at Wrestlemania did earlier this year. -
The One and Only Survivor Series Thread
The Tino Standard replied to Cherry Blossom Viscount's topic in The WWE Folder
Just got back from my local BW3, where I watched the show... Let's see... - Benoit was made to look strong by making the champion Lesnar tap out. - Shane McMahon got decimated by Kane. - The one-dimensional Austin was given the heave-ho tonight. - HHH was decisively dominated and pinned clean as a whistle. That alone should be enough to send smarks dancing in the streets tonight. -

What is actually the main event tonight? -
Isn't it refreshing to see that you can make a case for why a ton of different guys can win the thing? I know the Rumble is still more than 2 months away, but I can remember past years where the winner would be painfully obvious well in advance.

If I remember correctly, Rude was working with the WWF without a contract, basically getting paid per appearance. So, WCW decided to give him a contract, and boom - he's on two shows on the same night. Of course, you could be right and I could be wrong, but I'm just shooting out what I remember. Jason I have no idea about the ECW part of it, but I know Rick Rude appeared on Nitro (live) and Raw (taped) in the same night. To add to the strangeness, he had his mustache on one show, but was clean-shaven on the other, IIRC.
