MK rose from the ashes with Deadly Alliance, however. Plus the length of the thread for the new MK game doesn't exactly scream "obscurity" even if you take out all the nostalgia-based posts that cover everything MK. You can thank yours truly and Anya for that. And you *did* have to face Fortune before Fatman, which I totally forgot about. While she certainly isn't much of a boss (since you can only try to survive instead of kill her), I suppose she is the first real boss-type individual you face on the Plant stage. I never liked her, actually. How on earth wouldn't she know that a mechanical box was strapped to her belt that prevented bullets from hitting her? However, with some of the plot twists in MGS2, that small stretch of reality seems insignificant. I should also stop spoiling the game for everyone. UYI

Take that back. I didn’t actually mean that. I just wanted to see if UYI’s head would explode, but he took it very well. Kinda disappointing. Too much hidden love.

The King of Pop is a freak and nothing past the Bad album is worth talking about. I could find some South Park pictures to illistrate my point but I am too lazy right now. You think he's weird!? Woah, you must be like the only one. Congrats. Retire now and live entirely on your originality. UYI

Obviously, I was referring to the Plant stage when talking about Fatman being the first boss you face. UYI

I know I'm not reading a thread on pop music with no reference to Michael Jackson. I know I'm not reading a thread on pop music with no reference to Michael Jackson. Much love, Andrew. Fatman is a BRILLIANT 'first-level' (for want of a better term) boss. Such a unique character. It is a shame he was taken out of action so fast, never to return. However, the tendency for most Metal Gear bosses to just NOT DIE (such as Vamp, who is seen in the end sequence after being 'killed' several times) Solidus and the Metal Gears are admirable final bosses, as well. I'm also a huge Spidey fan, so I loved the design of Soldius, even if it was entirely based on another character. UYI

Uh, what? There were three or four spots where you had to make it to a certain place on time, which was hardly difficult once you learnt the basics of the game. In between, you had unlimited time to fuck with the heads of the guards using a plethora of tatics. I don't know what game you were playing, but it wasn't Metal Gear 2. UYI

That's Sub-Zero.

Having PS2 makes the choice easy for me. Besides, I don't have the money to be buying 3 or 4 'versions' of a game that are all essentially the same, outside of a few colours. UYI

How the fuck could Heidenreich not improve? It's not like they get much worse than him anyway. UYI -
Ah, I haven't been to an arcade since I was 12. I see your point.

The Martinez Mind Trick, I believe.

I think Brosnan saved Die Another Die. Halle Berry almost destroyed it with her horrific acting and even worse character dialogue (admittedly, she didn't write the script).

This is an unofficial translation of the Tekken 5 storyline, from one of the members of Tekken Zaibatsu. After The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 has ended, the violent battle of father and son, Mishima Kazuya and Kazama Jin continued at the Mishima Zaibatsu's Honmaru. The result was, Jin was captured by the Tekken Forces, and Heihachi wasted Kazuya at the battle. "So you (Kazuya) only has such skill after all, coward. And you (Jin), time to die right here." The deadly battle between Heihachi and Jin has start to continue once again...The angered Jin who had grew a pair of black wings, his power even surpassed Heihachi's, at that time, for once Heihachi realized that his death was imminent. But not long after that, Jin regained his oldself, then flew left Honmaru, left "Thanks my mother..Kazama Jun" words. Exhausted Heihachi, was resting, leaned on a big Kanji character for a while. After that only silence, as if the previous battle was a lie. However the silence was broke when an aircraft noise can be heard from afar. That noise eventually turn into an explosion noise. When Heihachi thought, he heard noises like something was launched, one by one the Jacks were breaking in, tearing through the ceiling. Heihachi instantly thought that this is one of Kazuya's plan, however, when Kazuya regained his consciousness due to the earthquake and the boom noises, he also failed to understand what has happened. "Who (the hell) are you people?!" As Heihachi screamed, at the same time, the Jacks altogether charging toward them both. Eventhough, they would never willing to cooperate each other, Heihachi and Kazuya start to fought the Jacks. However, eventhough how many they had defeated, the enemy numbers seem never decreased, the Jacks reinforcement keep breaking in. And so, even the great Heihachi started to lose his breath. Then when this happened, Kazuya suddenly betrayed Heihachi by throw him right into the enemies swarm. "RRAHHH!! YOU BASTARD!! KAZUYA!!" Kazuya glanced the screaming Heihachi for a while, then take the chance, to charged through the hole between the enemies, and eventually escaped from Honmaru. Straight afterwards, the Honmaru was vanished along with the explosion. A man who wear all black, watched the incident calmly.(RAVEN!) The man then gently touch his ear, then confirming that he was online, then reported one sentence. "Heihachi Mishima is dead." Right after that, a Jack came out from nowhere, suddenly attack the man from behind, but with one slash, the man split the Jack into halves with a blade . At the same time, the man's figure was vanished. Honmaru is vanished without any traces, and the surrounding is covered by ashes. But no one witnessed, among the ashes, the rubbles were blown up, and a figure appeared. The prophecy has been furfilled. Heihatchi Mishima lives! A few days later, the death of Mishima Zaibatsu head, Mishima Heihachi, reaches the people's ears all over the world. While this supposed to be the end of the Mishima Zaibatsu, however, a mysterious person took over the toppest position of Mishima Zaibatsu, then bring the Zaibatsu back to its peaceful condition as if nothing was happened. And then, after one month, the Mishima Zaibatsu sponsored and announced the opening of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. The enigmatic covered King of Iron Fist Tournament now, once again has open its curtain.... ------ Credit: http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/forums/showt...?threadid=65651 Bring your salt shaker.

Surely you can see the logic in bosses being overpowered though. For example, in 'reality', as seemingly idiotic as that is to apply to video games, someone such as Bison would far surpass the strength and power of someone such as Chun Li. Myself and my friends have a rule when we play each other - fight with a character that is equal to your opponent. It's not rocket science. UYI

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...festyle_britain LONDON (AFP) - Australian actor Eric Bana, star of films including "The Hulk" and "Troy", is the surprise new choice to take over as James Bond, a report said The beefy 35-year-old had beaten off competition from British actors such as Jude Law and Ewan McGregor to take over the role of the super-spy in the long-running series of films, the News of the World said. Current Bond, Irish actor Pierce Brosnan, has stepped down after four films following a row with producers, the Sunday tabloid title said. Bana was still negotiating with the series producers but they were hopeful he would take over for the 21st title in the series, due to begin filming later this year, the paper cited an unnamed "insider" as saying. "Eric is the guy they want but he has a reputation for being demanding. They want to modernize Bond and turn him into a youthful, suave and modern hero to compete with the likes of Spiderman and Keanu (Reeves) in the Matrix," the source said. Bana was formerly a popular comedian in Australia before grabbing attention in 2000 film "Chopper", in which he played a real-life character, a famous -- and famously violent -- Australian criminal, Mark "Chopper" Read. He has subsequently appeared in a string of US blockbusters, most recently playing Hector in swords-and-sandals epic "Troy". The James Bond films, based on the novels of Ian Fleming, have proved hugely successful ever since the first title, 1962's "Dr No", in which Sean Connery took the lead role. ------ I don't like this.

It's also amazing to see how much better Taker looks, physically, these days compared to only a couple of years ago. He had few excess pounds around WM X-8 time, but now he seems to be in the best shape of his life. I don't think I've ever seen Taker this buffed up. UYI -
