I think that's starting to change though.. with the phonecall angle we're probably going to see a season-expanding storyline arc.

Is ECW about to end as we know it? (ECW renewed)
dubq replied to Jaxxson Mayhem's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm honestly surprised that they haven't made MORE of an effort to create their own television presence. I mean, they have that on demand channel. Vince is a billionaire. Why hasn't he started his own channel that can show live Raw, Smackdown, ECW, etc.? -

Raw was supposed to go online with JR as the announcer. USA Network put a stop to that. The timing of ECW being announced as "going online" 2 months before their TV deal is supposed to be expire seems a bit more than a coincidence, Scroby. I might be biased because by the time 12am Friday in Canada rolls around I'm in no mood to stay up until 1am to watch a show that aired days prior in the States but I think injecting storylines like Miz/Balls/Kelly and wrestlers like CM Punk into SmackDown while basically making the ECW show a non-televised net show - SmackDown's version of WWE.com Heat, which they used to have in the form of Velocity - is a good idea. I wouldn't even bother. You might as well forget about ECW anyway as WWE.com has once again gayed it up and only allows streaming of the show to American website visitors. Use proxies. I don't care enough about it try that hard. -

It's most likely happening because their TV deal is up at the end of the year and all signs are pointing to it not getting renewed. -
True enough. I love 2D fighters, but if they want this to be more successful than to a really niche market or almost as a as nostalgia act then they need up the ante as far as graphics go. That said, I probably wouldn't touch a typical all 3D SF game.. I'd like to see something in the middle.. 3D characters but with cell shaded textures to give it that 2D feel, as well as a 3D environment..

Glad to see VKM pushed down to Xplosion - though I'm not so psyched to see LAX and XXX there.

Could do without the white - maybe red instead? The plated are cool, though. I like that it's a non-standard (well by today's standards) looking title.

Anyone still watching? It's been pretty good, each week, so far.

I have to agree with that. EDIT: They're definitely the Nikki & Paulo of Heroes...

She dialed it!! She dialed it!! Someone call JBL!

I really don't see how death was used for cheap shock at all...

Is this ONLY for 360 and PS3? No PS2 or Wii versions announced?

KOC2 is great for long, drawn out (in a good way, lol) matches with lots of psychology, etc. IMO, of course. It's probably one of the most realistic wrestling games out there for simming, too.

That screenshot of Christian is unreal.

Fire Pro G is the game you want. It's available on ebay right now. Also, there is another PS2 release called Fire Pro Z, also an import, but still worth checking out for the sheer fact that it's the last game to have any sort of "Victory Road" mode in it in the FPW series.

It's technically the legal property of NJPW, which Lesnar took off with - I think because he was owed money. IGF only somehow brokered a deal with Lesnar to drop the belt to Angle, but it still technically belongs to NJPW and is only connected to IGF soley due to the fact that the title changed hands on one of their shows. Besides, it says IWGP in big letters on the front so I can see why NJPW'd want it back.

Oh, and GamingRing.com has a couple of videos up from the 75% build of the game they previewed recently..

More screens are up at Agetec's site: http://www.agetec.com/catalog/product_info...products_id=119

IMO, Rikishi was most interesting when he was heel (post Austin run-down, "I did it for the Rock") and was teaming with Haku. As for Pacman being gone - GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE! EDIT: Wow, worst 3D I've ever seen on Kishi there..

I could take narcotics and vaguely predict the future as well. It'd probably make for better TV, too.

That's what I thought for a second, but what would they have to gain by faking her death? Either way, Lincoln and Michael will think she's dead and want revenge. The company, nothing. They want her dead, they can just kill her. Just like Veronica. But the writers? It gives them an in for the character if she ever decides to come back. Lame, yes.
