  1. "My Wife" is awesome; they should've let Entwistle write more.
  2. It was great, no matter what you call it. I could see how people can get carried away with it.
  3. Alcohol Hydrocodone Weed Nicotine I love beer, but for its taste; that it gets me drunk is merely a bonus. As for other drugs, I've popped a few different pills in my time, but hydrocodone is the only name I remember.
  4. Best: Fool to Cry Worst: Cherry Oh Baby Best: Remake/Remodel Worst: The Bob (Medley)

  7. I said this years ago and no one listened. Actually, I may've just said "the internet" and not "a wrestling message board."
  8. Somewhere on the site, the guy who runs fastnbulbous offers a convoluted explanation for his rating scale—just because something falls under "9" in any given year doesn't mean he liked it—but whatever. Though the writing is decent, I don't go to the site for critical analysis.
  9. This thread.
  10. That's amusing that anyone still attempts secreting the address of the Pit. That place is as terrible as ever. WDI was like a haven for New Yorker readers compared to those rubes.
  11. I'd murder Jim Davis, had I the chance.
  12. Still, the songs from A Ghost is Born came off much better live. I haven't checked out that new live album of theirs—nor will I probably ever—but, from what I've read, it's a solid document of their tour from earlier this year. (On said tour I saw them, but not at the dates recorded for Kicking Television.)
  13. More like A Ghost is Boring am I rite.
  14. I bet it was very whimsical!
  15. There was a period from 2000-2001 where pop music was actually something remotely not vertiginously awful—"I Want It That Way" was my summah jam, no shit—but I decided to move on and only listen to music I actually like.
  16. Turns out I don't. But I might be having a delayed falling-in-love with Dirty Three's Cinder.
  17. Richard Manuel is my least favorite vocalist of the three, yet he usually got the most mic time. I do like him, but a little of his tenor goes a long way. That's just me, I guess.
  18. "The Weight" gets stuck in my head at least a couple of times a month.
  19. yay, fastnbulbous is back: http://www.fastnbulbous.com/rock_f.htm#1975
  20. Staccato222 BT is winning right now.
  21. That's my girlfriend; do you think she's nice?
  22. So what's up, guys. I have the internet again and look forward to much downloading of pornography and stalking girls on myspace.
  23. I'm gonna have that tattooed on my back.
  24. "'This!' scoffed Carl. ''Tis but a bloody prayer meeting, this is! Ye should have shipped with old Tom Tew of Newport, as I did. One time last year we sailed from Libertatia to the great coast of Araby, and in the Red Sea we overhauled one o' the Great Mogul's ships with pilgrims bound for Mecca; a hundred gun she carried, but we boarded her without losing a man, and what do ye think we found? Sixteen hundred virgins, sir! Not a maidenhead more nor less! Sixteen hundred virgins bound for Mecca, the nicest little Moors ye e'er laid eyes upon, and not above a hundred of us! Took us a day and a night to pop 'em all—Frenchmen, Dutchmen, Portogeezers, Africans, and Englishmen, we were—and ere we had done, the deck looked like a butcher's block. There is not the like o' that day and night in the history of the lickerish world, I swear't! I cut a brace myself, for all I was coming on to sixty—little brown twins they were, and tight as a timber-hitch, and I've ne'er got up the old fid since!'"
