  1. I get annoyed by Bill and Ted quotes. *Prepares to be kicked in head, and the groin*
  2. Good question
  3. One thing I like to look at is the bad teams in the conference. Are they at least competive, how do they play in non-conference. The Big 10 in basketball this season is not tough. In fact it's down right horrible.
  4. Rob. New Orleans is listed twice. Who couldn't see Keith in Celtic Green? It's a perfect fit.
  5. How can Florida be this years Florida?
  6. Personally I think Baseball has enough competive balance. We've seen enough small to mid market teams make the postseason. The Angels and Marlins won the World Series. The A's have made the postseason 4 consecutive years, and the Twins 2 consecutive years. It's been proven if you can run your franchise well you can have success reguardless of payroll.
  7. That makes sense. Still curious what Texas plans on doing with Soriano?
  8. You missed all the changes they made at the meetings in Las Vegas during the All-Star break, then. They've already addressed this issue. And hell yes, I'd miss the NHL. I'd watch the CHL if it was put on in its place, but not the AHL. They need to implement an NBA-style agreement where the players are guaranteed x% of league revenues in salary, or else there are implications for the league (along with some kind of cap). I didn't miss the changes. I'm wondering if the changes are really go make any difference at all. The league can increase the goalies padding but has long as a majority of teams are defense first. Also, what about contraction does it happen? Is it even being discussed?
  9. The Royals can win the Division. However, I don't see them doing what Anaheim or Florida did.
  10. We have alot of sports in the area, so no. A question I have is what will change on the ice with a lockout? Will we scoring return to at least the early 90's? Will 100 points not be looked upon has a big deal. Will 50 goals scorers be the norm, and will some players reach the magical 60 goal level?
  11. I think Arizona should make a run at Greg Maddux. Randy Johnson's comming off a down year and he's 40. Brandon Webb only has 27 career starts. Maddux would give the D'Backs a nice 3rd starter. Plus it's close to his home in Las Vegas.
  12. So what does Texas do with Soriano? Keep him, and move him to the OF since they have Micheal Young at 2nd base, or send him off to a a team like the Dodgers and get some pitching help?
  13. Attendance was a big reason why the A's, Dodgers, Giants, and Braves made the move West. Baseball is also the cheapest sport of the major 4 to attend in person.
  14. dumb? You can do better than that.
  15. Sorry but if Brett Hart returns it should be at Wrestlemania XX. I understand not wanting to over shadow Chris Benoit's title win..assuming it happens. Just make Brett's appearance earlier in the show.
  16. I loved that Vince would get pissed at the referee after an alleged slow count. Even though the wrestler clearly kicks out before 3. 1-2-He got him. No he didn't, come on ref. Announcer Vince was great.
  17. Dreamer's making minimum salary. Mark Henry over a million dollars.
  18. I just read the Larry Fitgerald story. Who thinks he can't play in the NFL? I guess it's motivation, but that's going overboard.
  19. No it shouldn't but you just can't keep giving players chance after chance. Especially since Richardson looked like he got like 3 extra chances on his first dunk of the 2nd round. Korver=Kuchar Congrats to U of M alum Voshon Lenard. Even if he doesn't know who George Washington was. Anyone else think too many events for one night? Since the Rookie game is on Friday, why not have one of the other events on the same night.
  20. That says 2003? What about 2004? No way the Twins are at 67 million this year.
  21. Gotcha.
  22. Hey Harley. Wasn't Tris Speaker on the Boston Red Sox in 1912?
  23. What would moving Jeter to 2nd accomplish? You'd than be stuck with a weak hitting 3rd basemen.
  24. Yes. Jeter isn't a horrible SS. A-Rod's better, but like I said earlier he's probably more able to make the move to 3rd base.
  25. The Yankees probably think A-Rod being better defensively would be more able to make the move over to 3rd base.
