I wouldn't doubt it. Considering inmates are on death row for 20 years. The cost has too add up. That's one problem I have with the current state of the death penalty. People should be allowed to appeal, but it should not take 20 years to execute someone who is clearly guilty of murder.

One question. Why would anyone want to play for Cuba. Mike Lowell, and Rafael Palmerio are both U.S. citizens, and have lived in this country almost their entire lives. The other players took a great risk in defecting. I don't see them jumping at the opportunity to play for Fidel Castro's Cuba.
